Does anyone else have problems playing Bethesda games ?

I never really do the main quest and just wander aimlessly until I don't know what to do anymore. Then just start a new game and do it all over again.

well i kinda do the same thing 200+in f4 never finished main quest.
400h+ in skyrim never progressed the main story past kill Paarthurnax.
its not really a problem though since the general opinion is that the main quest lines are pretty shit

I was finally getting into a new playthrough of fallout 4, this time with mods. Hadn't played since the original release, so checking out all the new shit, sweet mods. Start getting random crashes when my mod count is over a certain amount.
I've given up into despair.

I'm a violent brute, and no mods will fix Bethesda's combat. If beating things into the ground doesn't feel good, I lose all interest in the rest of the game's world

Like right now i'm doing a survival playthrough in Fo4 ,downloaded all these mods. Even tailored the level list to spawn modded weapons and armor sporadically with the leveling. But I know deep down Im never going to reach like 20.

open world games tend to become pretty boring once you have the end in sight. bethesda is probably the worst offender though, or ubisoft

Honestly I think the formula peaked at Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Skyrim was boring and Fallout 4 was barely an RPG. It feels like they've been riding the coat tails of Oblivion for far too long.

all i did with fallout 4 was fuck around with build mode and make forts. then i realized your forts never get attacked by more than 2 or 3 enemies at a time and quit out of disappointment. the fallout 3 settlement mods were way better.

I played Oblivion and Fallout 3 at least three times each. I was really excited for Skyrim came out I was excited, but when I played it I was just like this is so fucking boring. How did I ever like this? Same with Fallout 4. Once you've played one you've played them all.

Not a Bethesda issue, but with all open world games.
They're just a toy to fuck around with for me, never finished a single open-world game in my life but already played hundreds of hours.
