If Sonic's power is speed, Tails' power is flight/intelligence, and Knuckles power is strength, what is Amy's power? Since I'm probably going to get nothing but shitposts in response to this, I'll bite and say Amy's power is determination/tenacity. Once she's got a hold of something, she won't let it go unless she's forced to let it go. Not just literally, but metaphorically. If something needs to be done, and no one else can do it, she'll jump on it. And if she's incapable of doing it, she'll force herself to become capable of doing it.
Girls have cooties user! It's a horrible germ that turns men in to incels!

I enjoy Sonic worldbuilding and lore. It gives them personality unlike Mario

The power of kidnapping hedgehogs with formol rags.

Shut the fuck up tripfag
Robert Parker
Wasn't her original power in CD something related to prophesies? Apparently she somehow used tarot cards to predict her first encounter with Sonic.
Henry Fisher
Amy's power is being normal. She's not supposed to he heroic, powerful, fast, or smart. She's just a regular little girl. She's naive, she's vulnerable, but she's also adventurous. Her job is to be ordinary, so Sonic by comparison can seem more spectacular. She's part of the cast, but not the main team. Also, in spin-offs, her power is being the joke character, the worst one.
Right because she's Adventure Amy in 2D, not Classic Amy. They're pretty much different characters. More so than any other Sonic character prior to the Adventure reboot.
Matthew Lopez
Bum, Hammer-Pen
Wyatt White
Because you don't understand how a good cast of characters works. You think everyone needs to be a superhero that's part of a team, when all that does is make the setting and characters more boring. Boom Amy is what you guys want and it sucks shit compared to simple Amy in CD.
Classic Amy's hammer was introduced in a fighting game. It was always supposed to be a weapon.
Kevin Hughes
This is true. Sonic was at his absolute coolest in CD and Amy being so ordinary played a part in that. It also made her a lot cuter.
Grayson Butler
Very old hedgehogs.
Anthony Lewis
Came to say this. She also knows about dowsing, hinting at her possibly having some mystical qualities. I can see her being an opposite to Tails and his tech. They were even both the same age in the classic series.
Jace Lewis
God damn sonic is such a beta he's got prime age loli bitch cunny right at his fingertips and he's avoiding her like a plague
Right, a joke weapon for the joke character. It's a popular children's toy in Japan. Even in the Mania Adventures they get it right, by making it seem harmless. It wasn't until Sonic Adventure that they shifted gears with the character and made her Sakura Haruno with a real hammer.
yeah. Given the proportions and how heavy the hammer would have to be to be an effective weapon, Amy has physical strength beyond what she appears to. So thats her superpower
>main personality trait is "annoying" >defined by a crush on the coolest character >short pink hair and red dress >WHOA SO STRONG DIDNT EXPECT THAT AND A TEMPER TOO LOL XD Yeah she's fucking Sakura
Joshua Morales
Hammer, duh
Ayden Gomez
>amy is 8 She was 12 in sonic heroes and they have canonically aged since then
Hudson Nelson
Amy is at least cute. Sakura isn't even in the top 5 of her show
Samuel Carter
Nah, m8
Amy is still vastly better than her
Jaxon Miller
Sakura didn't appear in Naruto until 1999. Sonic Adventure came out in 1998. You literally have it backwards.
Brody Russell
Amy has never had a loveless marriage, so she comes out on top there.
>Define annoying >She's shown to have more to her than just that and doesn't berate others in the process nor ruin friendships either (Ino). It helps that her love interest does care for her as a friend and has genuine concern for her vs. that mess of a relationship in Boruto if you can call it that >Really nigga? Never mind she spent at least five years with a different outfit >Yes, Amy has been shown to be capable and was slated to be a person who can fight and hold her own despite her role in Sonic CD
Amy's power is "girl". The Sonic Boom attempt to make her some sorta gymnist flippy type was ok, but hardly enough to break her out of side-character hell.
Metal Sonic - The Terminator Amy - Sarah Connor Sonic - Kyle Reese
Ryder Green
Dumb bitch energy
Jason Foster
we're talking about amy, not you
Camden Garcia
>Amy's power is determination/tenacity. > If something needs to be done, and no one else can do it, she'll jump on it. Not a chance. In her first appearance her "tenacity" just gets her kidnapped and she's completely helpless the entire time until Sonic goes out his way to fix her idiocy. In SA1 and SA2 she's mostly just tagging along or running away while the others get shit done. In Heroes she claims to want to help Cream and Big but is mostly just chasing Sonic and doesn't do much in the way of helping her friends. In '06, she accomplishes all of snapping an idiot like Silver out of what anyone else with a two digit IQ at least would have realized. Then she stands in the back while Sonic gets saved by Elise. She's mostly goofing around with Emerl in Battle. Does jack in Unleashed.
Her "power" is being bait for fans of "The Girl", pink, boy crazy, what a joke. Rouge, Cream, Blaze all accomplished more than her with less games to do it.

>loss a long-term contract with SEGA for being aggressive >loss a contract with an indie dev for misgendering a character So this is the power of working with a female artist.
Luis Rivera
That's just not Amy, that's Modern Amy
Jonathan Johnson
What happened?
Robert Lopez
She called a non-binary special snowflake character character "he"
Luke Perry
Someone's making a Super Monkey Ball ripoff and the main character artist referred to a non-binary hamster as a he, without knowing it was non-binary. So they blacklisted him from the project.
Bentley Ward
>non-binary I...What? Thanks for explaining it, but I'm probably better off not trying to find out more about this.
Dylan Wood
but dude lmao just ignore it am I right gamer bros? Not like it affects the quality of games even though the last decade when these types of people got in started the dark ages of gaming. Like grow up ha ha ha quit being toxic.
I think the biggest misconception of Amy's character is that she's supposed to be one of the heroes or one of Sonic's friends, neither of which is the case. Only the games with the lamest depictions of the characters like Chronicles, Boom, and Forces try to go that route.
Benjamin Morris
Go recruit somewhere else. That story sounds unreasonable and I sympethize with the artist, but dudes like you just make things worse.
Easton Evans
Worse how?
Luis Green
How dare this artist not be able to read the minds of a bunch of mentally ill tranny developers and guess that a male looking character is supposed to be neither male or female. So for what I'm reading, after they went full retard on the artist at least they are making it clear now: >All of the playable animal characters are supposed to be non-binary or trans.
But apparently they didn't stop there and started calling the artist a pedo for making a sexy drawning of a aged-up adult Medli, to justify their bullshit, beautiful.
Based trannies ruining the career of disgusting cis women working on the vidya industry.
Joshua Bell
even if you're correct, that's a shit idea. and Rouge, Cream, Blaze are all modernshit, they have no future.
Wyatt Rogers
>Amy is both a romantic interest and a jobber to Sonic
Evan Stewart
>Amy's power is being normal >She's just a regular little girl.
Did you not play Sonic CD? She's slow as fuck when she runs to you and can't defend herself from Metal Sonic or Eggman, and she has no idea what kinds of situations she's getting herself into. Then in Fighters she uses a child's toy to fight and is the weakest character in the game. Then in R she needs a car to keep up and is again the worst character in the game. She was NEVER supposed to be on the same calibur as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, or the other heroes/rivals. She's a sweet little girl with a crush on Sonic. That's her character. And that's actually a lot more unique and creative than just another buddy for Sonic, that kind of character is actually funny, endearing, and has a lot of potential. You can argue that they changed it when they rebooted the series, but that won't change what Classic Amy is.
