It's like if Duke Nukem 3D was about throwing stuff around corners to avoid fast firing hitscan enemies, then the gameplay slowing down to a crawl when you HAVE to melee zombies (because they won't stay down from regular weapons, oh no), and forget about using flares because it takes forever to burn through and you get no ammo from cultists - what fucking garbage. This is definitely the worst Build engine game (making it a 6 or 7/10 game). I can not highly recommend this free mod more
All hitscan enemies in all 90s shooters, both 2.5d and 3d, are the weakest bunch in the game with the notable exception of an end-game boss mastermind. This is for a reason. Blood is difficult for difficulty's sake and is beaten by memorizing monster placements as opposed to reacting to them.
>Using the damage reflect power up >This is impressive to Bloodfags
OH NO NO NO NO

the blue tint disappears so you know you have the bullet reflection power-up, wtf is this webm supposed to prove

From the last thread
>I don't understand. Yea Forums has ALWAYS loved Blood every time it was mentioned before this port came out. What the fuck happened to this board's userbase?
Waaaaah, it's not a circlejerk thread and Blood actually has to be analyzed with a critical eye - muh fee fees!

That Bloodfags are easily impressed and want to trick people into thinking it's that "easy", when no moment is like that. Hell, when I get damage reflects, I just pitchfork everything - but that wouldn't be exciting and reflect the reality of playing Blood, would it?

I hate those mother spiders they ruin the game for me.

blood is a clear example of the disconnect between new and old players. blood, more than any other old shooter, is about remembering where enemies are instead of reacting to them as they come. a skilled player can beat doom, duke3d or hexen without quicksaving but to do the same with blood requires a hell of a lot more time. blood is full of death-traps (mostly because of cultists) that you cannot react to, instead you have to know its coming. blood absolutely requires frantic quicksaving to get through on your first playthrough which is not the case with other old fps games. whether this is good or not is up to you
