Waifu-fagging aside, even though you're still painfully wrong, what would Mass Effect have to do as a franchise to become marketable again? I know at this point it's just a fantasy to think of anything beyond Anthem, mobile games and then being absorbed and shuttered but a man can still dream. You could follow up Destroy ending and go full space-western post-apo scifi, in which you play some role in rebuilding post-war destruction, taking care of pirates, raiders and gangs who are now everywhere, conflicts with aliums etc. I think playing as a low level nobody, while being a first person witness to the absolutely massive destruction of Reaper war could not only give a much greater depth to the world, but also to the first trilogy, where you take everything from a macro level.

Similar could have been applied to Andromeda, which could have been pretty much Age of Sail but in space. You know, exploration, taking care/being one of pirates and rogue elements of your own, establishing civilization and general pioneer activity. This dumb meme about being a space/whatever Jesus and main hero should end, you can create absolutely powerful narratives with just normal, regular people or them attaining hero status, no need for Hero among Heroes.
