I grew up in MK1-MK3U era. It feels like MK to me. X and 9 are not relevant to what I'm saying.

Did MK11 even sell well? I haven't heard anything about it since launch.

1-3 are still much faster than 11.

The problem is that you wouldn't realize that a game was made by a right winger or non-crazy left winger because those people just don't shove politics into their games. Or at least don't do it in a way that everyone finds offensive.

I still think the game was meant to have a mobile application tie-in involving the towers. There's simply no reason for augments, four currencies, huge grind gates applied to character towers, and the AI fighter point allocation without it. The grind seems like such a slog that I can't for a second believe it wasn't made with app support in mind. Why else would the process feel like pulling teeth?

Aside from all that it just feels really fucking safe. The character roster sucks, the combat is really fucking simple, the variations are almost pointless with some moves being clear winners and others being almost useless, a pretty but boring story and, shit, no Reptile.

Video games are cancelled until I can pay one price and get the full experience. I refuse to buy anymore microtransaction infested horseshit.

I'd like to supplement this with the terrible animations. Many moves they have are just so boring and lack soul

It looks worse than MKX, probably had to dumb things down to be able to get it to run on the Switch. The PC port bombed and is still not working correctly, as typical for NWS PC ports. The Switch port looks hilariously bad, like worse than a PS2 fighting game. They removed the sexy costumes. They retconned character back stories to be more "woke". They slowed down the combat to make it easier for normies to keep up with good players. They watered down the whole experience by making the process of unlocking new content extremely grindy unless you want for fork over your wallet for those mTX.

Everything about this game oozes failure.

Very few characters feel complete,polished, and enjoyable to play, which are the higher tier ones. The low tier characters have to work so much to get a fun it isnt even fun to play. When the mixup is either a low attack or a grab, it gets boring quick.

The answer is simple. All the new additions are fucking garbage. For all the flaws MKX had the Outworld civil was and chance of Kahn was an interesting spin. The Kombat Kids were a nice idea, if poorly executed. The new Outworld characters ranged from decent to great.
MK 11 introduced one of the shitty villain yet, and just 3 new playable characters, all of which are bland as fuck.
