Looks okay but, cutscene mudokon speech is too lively and remake was a disaster. Sidescrollers and abe were fun 20 years ago, if I want more ill just replay the originals.

Doesn't look half bad. Exoddus is my favorite game of all time, I'm hoping it's not like the last remake. As much as I liked Oddyssee, New n Tasty wasn't what I expected. I didn't think it was shit, but definitely disappointing.

I understand that, what I'm hoping not to see is the over reliance on bright and flashy colors and bloom. The originals were dirty and grimy, and really the only context in which I would ever consider agreeing with the whole "soul/soulless" meme.

Improved graphics does not always equal improved aesthetic, which I've seen ruin so many transitions of franchises from one generation to another.

eh, it's a little bright I guess, but I think a lot of that comes down to the factory being in the middle of a desert, I think they use the sun as natural lighting as well as neon lights and such to distinguish what's what

I suppose it really depends on the location. I can understand the usage of neon signs/lights in certain places within the factory, but there are other locations where it just seemed out of place.

I agree that it looks a little bright, but honestly that's not really what bothers me. I guess it just comes down to my individua taste, but there's something about the low resolution of the originals that gave it this dirty, ill-maintained feeling that went well with the whole "we don't give a single shit about how much our industry's pollution gives off, it's profitable" vibe from the Glukkons.

But I will say, I do like this webm. It certainly feels more "alive" than the originals, which I can appreciate.

I like most things I see here, but two things that irk me about this:

Why? Abe jumps straight across and grabs the ledge without touching the ground. Why the front flip? It seems out of place and unnecessary. Why not just have him jump straight to grab the ledge without the flip? Ehhh.

Might be a little early to criticize but it seems insulting to the players intelligence to have to spell it out to us that Moolah means coins... Not only is it implied by the name, it's also implied by the icon of the coin. Unless there are other forms of currency or moolah other than coin, it seems unnecessary. Maybe I'm just being overly critical.

Other than that I like this much better than New n Tasty.

this one time when i used to work in games media, oddworld asked me to give them a review score for a game i hadn't yet played because they had yet to give me the code, which they did after

Feeco Depot looks very similar but I dont like the game has now a UI and that theres a little pointer on top of abe to know where he is. The original game used colors so well that important stuff always pop out. Now is just a mess of yellows and hard shadows.
