There are plenty of options for dodges and blocks that aren't tied to random percentages, though. There's the evasion arts, the guard move that Tora and shield hammers have, and you can use level 4 specials/3rd stage blade combos/chain attacks to dodge too.
And if you're letting the game play itself, you're doing something seriously wrong. Autoattacks are basically just there to charge up your arts, after the early game you shouldn't be relying on them for damage at all.

Easier to pronounce for the VAs, for the most part. There's also the element of the original names having certain meanings that would be completely obvious to the Japanese audience, but lost on the English one. But the dub doesn't always do such a great job of carrying over that meaning (and in a couple cases changes it when it really didn't need to), so that's not an amazing excuse.

"Humor" is being a bit generous, but there are some anime trope style gags in the first 4 chapters.

It could have been had the game not had gacha, and had the lore of Alrest been interspersed evenly throughout the story, instead of just getting a huge info dumpout right at the end. There are those colossuses you can fight before the final boss, and Ophion, I guess? They don't really match up neatly with Pneuma or Malos.
But the theming of the artifices is just kind of odd in general. Everything that shows up in the main game has a core crystal that matches Pneuma, including Malos's Gargoyles, and then the black Siren in the DLC randomly has a purple core.
Like the other user said, that's a implication that was apparently added by the translation. The original line doesn't imply that Ousia initiated the transition, or even specify that it happened after the experiment.

They're weapons that were created by the Trinity Processor to defend the Conduit and the Orbital Ring from outside forces like the Saviorites, they're definitely connected to them.

I was in the same boat for awhile but recently bit the bullet and got the whole trilogy. I was slow but intriguing, and II was nice at first for how much less dated it seemed but eventually turned out to have a more shallow story. III seems like a good balance so far but I only just began. That cutscene was kino, Albedo ripping off his own head was gold. He's a god tier villain for sure, the best in the Xeno series imo.

I say this because his ability exceeds the limits of space/time and if he's blade-like/connected to the Zohar, wouldn't he be near immortal? The point im trying to make is that the guy can easily be written into any scenario. MS can set XC3 or XCX2 taking place thousands of year later, and say Ontos is here because Space-Time transitioning.

I think the trinity processor should be compared more so to the Magi bio-computers in Evangelion. Each part having their own role. iirc wasn't this covered in the game? essentially Logos was the command execution core, Pneuma was the information gathering core, and Ontos was the judgement core. It's been months since I last played it, but I couldve sworn it was more or less something like that. Ontos fucked off because it's connection to the zohar/Upper domain gave him insight to Klaus's presence "elsewhere" and departed to supervise that realm and impose the trinity system there. I'd say he has much more affinity with the zohar and it's domain than Klaus, which is why he's elusive in Klaus's perspective

I'm trying to open the cores up on Zeke since he's got the highest justice stat but I think he's also got the worst luck so it's been a struggle. Which character has the best luck? I don't wanna open them on Rex obviously. But I don't really care who gets her. I have plenty of overdrives or whatever.

My party's stats could be fucked up because I filled out the hidden affinity charts, but for me the order from most to least luck (without any luck-boosting equipment, of course) is Nia>Morag>Rex>Zeke.
If you want more luck, keep an eye out for common blades with luck modifiers, they help a ton. And luck accessories, obviously.
