I'm unironically excited for this game. What can I play to kill time before it releases?

Pre-Sequel is annoying, awful story full of retcons and the characters aren't as interesting as the BL2 ones. They're good (besides Claptrap) but not that good.
2 doesn't have the best story either but still.

Looking forward too it. Doing a kinda challenge gimmick run in 2 right now. Any time I travel between areas I drop all my guns, if I die I drop all my guns and reload the game. It's been pretty fun doing every area with whatever I find. Even white guns have been important so far which I like.
I really hope BL3 has legendaries from chests more frequently though. I've finished the main game and most of the quests and done most of the pirate DLC and 4/5 headhunter DLCs and I've found a single Hornet from a chest. Being able to farm bosses for specific legendaries is a good feature but I like just finding cool shit on a regular playthrough.

1 is so much better thematically and systematically. The one thing BL2 does better is skill trees.

That applies to BL2 almost as much as it does 1. Gearbox has a skill for coming up with new reasons to go to an area you've already been and pick up a bunch of shit you couldn't pick up last time.

I mean sure, you have assassination missions, quests to help pick up echo logs and stuff like that, but they are also lots of different sidequests among those kinds to make up for that.

You don't have that luxury in the first game, you have to eat that MMO tier quest shit whether you like it or not.
