Apparently the blue one from BBS and 0.2 was also not real because the X-blade used to summon them was incomplete. The yellow one Xehanort summons in 3 is the only real one until Nomura retcons it in the next game.

Then by the end of the game loads of levels are gone aswell in The end of the world level. It's Kingdom Hearts, let's face it, even the last boss says so. Just because the game retcons it in the sequel doesn't detract from the game's premise. KH 1 is an adventure game where the last place you go is the title of the game that's hinted at in the tutorial level.

Don't blame me. Blame Nomura. It's very, very obvious by now that Nomura considers SoRiku canon and was probably pushing for it all along.

Consider this: Riku only interacts with Kairi in a comatose state in all of KH1, and is basically just using her to make Sora jealous, because he was jealous about Sora replacing them with Donald and Goofy. In KH2, Namine and Kairi rescue themselves and Riku basically just follows along behind her. Kairi hugs Sora (to his visible disinterest), then Sora falls to his knees and WEEPS OPENLY about Riku.

In KH3, Kairi serves ABSOLUTELY no purpose whatsoever. She kills a single heartless in one cutscene, and gets to be in the party against bosses she barely has much relevance to, before Xemnas effortlessly kidnaps her and the battle replaces her with Xion and Roxas.

Conclusion: Nomura never cared about Kairi, Sora and Riku's relationship is clearly the focus, and she only ever existed because Disney wanted them to have 'a case of the not-gays'.

Forgot to even mention that Kairi and Riku don't exchange a single word in all of KH3. Seriously. They never, ever speak to each other. Kairi's only major scenes are with Sora to reinforce that he is not gay.

That was Nomura writing himself out of a corner-- Sora and the party are defeated because that technically fulfills the future written in the Book of Prophecies. But then the game just zigzagzoops all over the fucking place and pulls a bunch of inconsistent, unexplained nonsense out of its ass to let Sora literally travel through time, 'because kairi believed he wouldn't die' and that's it. Then the game both acts like the characters know there was a loop but also do all the same exact shit again with Lingering Will again being written in to bail Nomura from explaining how they can pass this seemingly insurmountable obstacle. Also Ephemer just decides not to help in the first loop but conveniently appears to give Sora his OP Power of the Whales and beat the unbeatable enemy
