ITT: Games where grenades aren't shit
Fallout 4
They were pretty great in halo.
In fallout 4 the whole game is shit
Planetside 2. The friendly fire rubber grenades are the best part of that piece of shit.
R6S.
underrail
Deathspank: Thongs of virtue
Left 4 Dead
>spawn from sunderer on a cliff
>throw a grenade down vaguely where the VS scum are
>kill a MAX and his two engineer healsluts
I miss that game.
>be engineer
>use underbarrel grenade launcher
>use grenade bandolier
>drop ammo pack in front of choke point
>alternate UBGL and sticky grenade
>easy 25+ kills.
Nobody EVER expects more than one grenade. Much less a never ending stream of them.
Plasma nades in Halo once you got the hang of them
Hand grenades and especially the rifle grenades in STALKER are really underrated.
Judging the trajectory is actually intuitive and they actually have enough power to clear out larger rooms.
Too bad grenades aren't useful because you're fighting outside 75% of the time and they take up too much weight to stockpile.
what are games where grenades actually behave like grenades instead of compact bombs?
Spec Ops the Line
People actually spend more time throwing grenades than shooting guns.
Doom 3
tell me, do grenades still bounce of walls and land directly at your feet if you throw them in the wrong position in vats, like in 3?
>grenades actually behave like grenades instead of compact bombs
That's literally what grenades are you brainlet. If they tried to use current physics tech to accurately model every single piece of shrapnel the way real life grenades work your framerate would drop to fucking zero.
Team Fortress 1.
Loved playing Spy and just spamming those toxic grenades close to enemy sniper/spam.
Halo ce
Battlefield 1 and EQ: Quake Wars. The Trogg Grenade were the best shit.
Metal Arms has some amazing grenades
Foxhole, during the infantry stages of a war an organised grenade push is pretty much the only way to gain ground
The frags were kinda shit though.
Napalm slingshot across map was always fun
Worms
Definitely XCOM EU and 2
Lost Planet 2 grenades are immensely satisfying to use. They're basically your second weapon with 5 different classes that all work differently and several within each class to pick from. Most of them can be shot in midair to drastically increase damage and radius too so there's a skill to using them well.
Killing Floor
Team Fortress Classic
FEAR
Left 4 Dead
Blood
Vanquish
I don't think you can throw grenades in vats anymore. Instead one of the perks shows the projected grenade arc.
americas army
Any game with blackhole grenades
