ages

Ages

Season

jk ages is better

Ages

Ages is better, not by much.

Both games are great games, and I liked the different aspects of a linked game.

Ages

I recently played Link's Awakening for the first time and was blown away by how good everything was. I tried playing Ages right after and I think the game sucks comparatively. Anybody else agree?

Play Minish Cap then it's better than both.

Of course. LA is considered one of the best Zelda games

Janny why the fuck was this post deleted? It might've been a bad opinion but he's allowed to have that bad opinion.

Seasons. Fuck Ages.

No. Link's Awakening is brilliant, but the Oracles are even better. Among the best games in the Zelda series, actually, right there with Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time. An incredible 3-year peak for the series, now that I think about it.

How do people find Ages better? I find it really tedious to play, and I'd rather not play the same 5 color puzzles in every single dungeon constantly. Seasons is definitely a more fast-paced, better flowing game. Plus, Din is hotter.

Ages for the story
Seasons for the comfy overworld

Seasons to Ages for the perfect ending
Ages to Seasons for the gamepaly

>that part with lizard island in Ages
>Jabu-Jabu's Belly
Nah, mateys. Seasons for me all the way long.

Ages has a lot of interactions between the player and the npcs so instead of having a constant good flow, it's breaks off

Play Seasons, it's has that sense of adventure compared to Ages

If you're not pro-Seasons you don't know shit about videogames.
Both games are pretty great. Doubly so for their time and platform

This. Didn't like some of ages moments, didn't like spooky cemetery, jabu jabu belly and other stuff.
I could replay seasons any time though, love the music in that one more, it looks better because of different seasons, the feel of lost woods (though that's where i actually got stuck at as a kid). I would replay them both. Also, season have subrosia.

Yuck man. Minish Cap was terrible

It was very good, what are you talking about.

Anyone else use rocs feather + sword spin and jump between Onyxs hands and spin slash his head gem? Shit was fucking awesome.

Oi m8, Imma foit you on this one.
The only Minish Cap's downside is that it is too short. But the sheer amount of extra activities and overall easter eggs and throwbacks to all the zeldas before it make up for that. It's a comfy little love letter to the Zelda franchise with superb sprite visuals to boot. What's not to fucking like?

Exactly how I did it. Absolute blast. My problem as a kid was though that I never found L2 Sword until the very end. Made endgame zones a fucking nightmare to fight through.

Reminder that the windfish fucking DIED from a drought in BoTW

Seasons Highlights:
>Battling Aquamentus after years of being absent from the series
>Finding a mystical temple in the lava-filled Subrosia for your Rod of Seasons
>Throwing a bomb into Dodongo, only to find out in order to truly kill it, you have to toss him into spikes as well
>Travelling up a high mountain with your animal buddies and opening up a waterfall in order to access a new dungeon
>The Unicorn's Cave having a very mechanical feel with conveyer belts, magnets, and minecarts
>Travelling through the forest with mystical, almost melancholy music and pulling a sword out of a stone
>Travelling up a dangerous trap-filled tower
>Going on a boat ride with some rad pirate skeletons
>Exploring a spooky crypt with multiple connected levels of trampolines and platforms
>Gleeok starts trying to murder you even after it dies
>The Temple Ruins, showing the remains of the once magical temple now being overrun with lava and knights
>Finding the last dungeon in Subrosia, which is not only an fire dungeon, but also an ice dungeon where you must freeze the fire part in order to safely travel through it
>Fighting a FUCKING DRAGON that fights like Sigma from Mega Man X

Ages Highlights:
>The Maku Tree immediately falls in love with you after you save it
>Going through a forest full of trickster fairies
>A dumb borderline luck-based Thwomp boss
>Going on an island only to immediately get robbed by a bunch of lizard people
>Symmetry Village is being attacked by a volcano
>Getting a Switchhook instead of a Hookshot
>Turns out Ambi is actually possessed!!!! Oh noes
>A dancing Goron minigame
>Mermaids Cave involves going to it in the past and future
>Jabu Jabu's Belly. Enough said
>Turns out the last dungeon is the first dungeon from the past
>Fighting a Possessed Nayru (Who fights exactly like the Possessed Queen)
>Veran is actually a shapeshifting insect woman?

You tell me which is better.

Ages overall, but Subrosia over Tokay Island.

No, oracles are better.

The Virgin Ages
VS
The Chad Seasons

Hours.

>A dancing Goron minigame
That's identical to subrosia one

Why hours? It's already like ages, why not make it secrets. Such a nice project RUINED

Seasons and it's not even close. Ages felt like they stopped designing it halfway through.

How do you change the world for secrets? Ages has past/present, Seasons has the four seasons - What would Secrets have?

How so.

Because the oracles gimmick is actually about time fuckery, Ages focus was past and present, Seasons was about the Seasons obviously, hours would was gonna be about day and night fuckery

ages

>day and night
interesting. Hours is a lame name for that though.
Oracle of secrets is the the twinrova fight actually. I don't know, basically like another world that you could interact with or see through lens of truth or glasses of truth or something, similarly to minish cap

>goron dancing in ages
>the lizard island in ages
>the water temple in ages

youtube.com/watch?v=UNPAQVaqcHU

>GBC music
comfy

Seasons hands down. But you're meant to play bboth and they're both 10/10s.

The real question is: Which do you play first, which do you play linked?

Seasons, I like the hooded people and their own subworld, world layout and dungeons are better and more varied, there's just more bang for your buck, also the concept of messing around with different seasons is much more unique and interesting than the boring old time travel shit that just comes down to guessing shit to see what was different back in time.

Seasons has a better aesthetic. Also soundtrack. Also it has Subrosia. Which means dates with Rosa.

All Ages has going for it really is a better villain, but you can pretty much consider Twinrova the real villain of both games.

Seasons has a more agreeable overworld, fairly open and not that restrictive but still slowing space for screen specific puzzles like the woods and Tarm Ruins. Subrosia is also cool as hell.

But in a more traditional sense Ages is more akin to Link's Awakening since it's actually got a narrative of sorts. It's terrible in parts sure but it's highs are much higher than Seasons.

Long story short I like doing Ages first then Seasons so you get some extra plot shit in seasons involving Ambi instead of the big nothing you get if you do it backwards.

Oracle of Ages? I liked it better when it was called LINK TO THE PAST.
