Hot take, FFXV was an enjoyable game after Squenix cleaned up the bugs. The point is this. FFXV just has very little variety in terms of what kind of music it has. Sure FF could have epic orchestra stuff like Liberi Fatali sometimes but it also had synth-heavy prog rock-style stuff and whimsical-sounding tracks too. FFXV just has full epic orchestra all the time and compositionally it sounds a lot more generic than the classic FF stuff. And even then the epic orchestral tracks it does have tend to sound mostly generic. It also has no electric organ which is a literal crime for FF.
