Bought this TV for vidya and movies. Did I fuck up?
yup
Yeah you absolutely fucked up, how can you even watch anything with that giant white wall around the TV?
what is it, like a lit up picture box thing?
short answer: yes
>nobody explains why
>make jokes
Okay.
>TV
Enjoy your input lag and artificial motion blur. Next time get a monitor with a high refresh rate and low input lag. Unless you're playing on console. Then you're fucked either way so at that point it doesn't matter.

ok retard
Everyone's just answering the yes or no question.
That's a jpg, dumbass, not a TV.
I have an LG C8 and it's the best TV I've ever looked at. Oled has spoiled me and my monitor looks like shit in comparison
I hope we get mled monitors soon so we can finally move on from shit tier lcds
oled suffers from burn in, so if you're playing any game with a HUD for several consecutive hours there's always a risk. All TV's also suffer from input delay so it's not ideal for high precision games.
lol epic reply
All monitors suffer from burn in. Relative to some of the other tech we've had, e.g. CRT, plasma, it's not really a big deal for OLED.
oled is so fragile its become a meme inside the television circle friend. All the major companies are working on eliminating this with the upcoming iteration and successor to oled, my advise is to wait for these to come out, they will also feature much improved input lag for gamers.

Every new tech is a meme. There's still people out there that think LCD is a meme and nothing well ever top CRT. It's a lot easier to deal with burn in in OLED than it ever was for CRT.
And since when has input lag been a big deal for console gamers? Most of their games barely run at 30fps and have input lag independent of the monitor of upwards of 120ms. And you think the TV is the problem here?
Ha no
You can play games on it with no HUD though. Its very immersive but it adds a bit of a challenge, though not as much as you would think
>OLED
Enjoy your burn-in, user. Hope you like whatever HUD you have in your most-played game.
>What are high end tv's
Sure their around 2-3k but they fucking destroy monitors on picture quality.
120hz 4k oled with freesync is the norm, user
The future is already here, friendo
I own stock in projectors, I swear to you it's going to be the next big thing. It's nowhere close yet to being a real competitor with Televisions yet but I'm literally betting money that in 10-15 years it will.
