Post obscure jrpg's like pic related. Enjoyed it a lot, unlike any other rpg I've played.

Koudelka on the ps1 is a prequel to the Shadow Hearts series so look into that.
SH is sadly one of the only horror/occult themed jrpgs. Maybe try the Megaten series if you enjoy that aspect.
Is Resonance of Fate considered obscure?
game sucks
I honestly thought it was made by the same people who did The Legend of Dragoon. It looks and plays like a ps1 game and it has somewhat similar kind of battle system with 'additions'.
Not him but do you recommend playing that first ?
Shadow hearts seemed interesting but I stopped early
Kind of ?
Okage: Shadow King is a treat
I go back and play Legend of Legaia every few years. Probably the best RPG on the PSX honestly
fuck that game was slow
Why does this give me a digimon world vibe
How complex is the game? Too many flowcharts give me a panic attack.
Dunno if its obscure or literally no one talks about this Shining sub-series but Shining Soul on GBA, shit's GOAT
From the first City to the first dungeon maybe but that's not even that long
I hear about it plenty but it's mostly camelot fans saying how terrible it is.
Nah, it adds to the story but it's not totally necessary. It's more of a cool side thing then a straight up sequel. It's not as refined as the SH games, as to be expected, but if you enjoy SH then you'll enjoy Koudelka still.
Playing this right now. Pretty fun but bosses keep kicking my ass.
Can't be fucked to find a larger pic.
Horrible game.
Actually really fucking good and pretty short. Took me a bout 10 hours or so to complete my first run.
I just started RS2 on switch, holy shit this game is hard even at the beginning. I didn't realize at first how crucial and scarce LP is
Hope you like TIMED HITS
Wild Arms 3 is pretty fantastic.
On the subject of Saga games, I really enjoyed Saga 2 on GB, aka FF Legend 2 everywhere else
Is it okay to play three without playing the first two?
if you have questions to go /vr/, there's a saga general
>prequel
No, retard, a previous entry in a series is not a prequel
My favourite game. Hope you did the secrets, they are fun quests and add a LOT. Also, now go play shadow hearts 2, you're in for a ride
Bump
>obscure
aaaah, zoomie-zoomie
Shadow Hearts is very underappriciated. What are you talking about?
Yeah, Wild Arms games are completely unconnected from each other, sorta like most Final Fantasy games.
One of the better things about the series is the dungeons are like Zelda ones, complete with new items you get to use to solve puzzles and stuff.
I played this back in high school. I don't remember much about it other than the girl in your party attacked with a book; like she would physically smack a foe with a book
Nice will definitely give it a shot. Got a new phone with an oled display so I've been making a list of ps1 games I wanna try, looks surprisingly sharp and contrasty, especially with a scanline filter on.
