Lets talk about capeshit games. While the movies have their good share of problems can we agree the games are pretty fun?
Are the Spider-Man games the only ones worth playing? Which are the best? Are there any other decent super hero games?

Now how do you feel about the new MUA game?

PS4 Spidy is the one and only worthy
The rest are mediocre
Well the art doesnt seem to look very good and I've been kind of wanting to play MUA 1 & 2 so maybe I'll just wait a bit longer and see some more. The MUA games are pretty fun, it's a shame they're taken off digitally on PS4 and some stores now, seems pretty hard to get and you have to pay top dollar now to get em ($60). I might cave in and buy it!
I wish games like this and Ultimate Spiderman get ported, missed out playing it. Do these games stay true to comics via style?
I remember a Superman game I played when I was in Japan. Just punching bad guys and throwing rocks at them and whatnot. I remember it being fun
xiii
Hey!
2011 Captain America game is pretty good
Are there any good Xmen games? It was probably because I had a third party memory card but after playing a Wolverine game on the Gamecube it corrupted my memory card and I've never tried any since.
I had no idea they put the Avengers games on PS3. Did you give Iron Man a try? I am now realizing PS4 lacks all of the (arguably) "fun" gems PS3 had. PS3's library was fucking huge.
I played Iron Man on PS2 and it was okay
Welcome, to DIE!
Mutant Apocalypse and Clone Wars
>Do these games stay true to comics via style?
Ultimate Spider-Man was made in the golden days of the Ultimate comics, so good that the game is superior to the shitshow that the Symbiote arc turned out to be in the comics and everything that came after, funny considering that at first the game was supposed to be actual comics canon but it scrapped as the comics contradicted all of it.
>Are there any good Xmen games?
The Legend games, predscessors to Marvel Ultimate Alliance. There's also the Wolverine Origins game which is ridculously good despite being a tie-in for that shitty movie of the same name.
>tfw want to start reading some gud comics but no idea where to start
I have about a thousand questions holy fuck. I wont read anything pre-2000. Why the fuck is there plethora of different series.
why won't they make a AAA Avengers game?
>I wont read anything pre-2000
Good luck with that
The batman games from Arkham Asylum onward are fantastic.
>I wont read anything pre-2000
Why? Some of the most iconic stories are from the 80s & 90s. Some 2000s stories are okay but better enjoyed if you're familiar with what came before. You shouldn't read anything post 2011 though,
Spider-Man PS1, PS4, Ultimate, Shattered Dimensions, that old beat-em-up with Black Cat/Hawkeye/Namor as P2-4, and Web of Shadows' DS version. Batman Arkham series for the most part, Batman The Brave and the Bold, and some 8/16-bit platformer and beat-em-up Batman games. Hulk Ultimate Destruction. Marvel Ultimate Alliance series (3 looks good in its own way, you can tell the devs have Musou experience). Marvel vs Capcom series (each has its strong points, but UMvC3 is the king for fanservice by a mile since 2 was a rushjob and Infinite was soulless corporate MCU-focused trash in all ways but the core gameplay systems). X-Men Origins Wolverine and the old 6-Player Arcade game.
I liked nu-Secret Wars
Didn't everyone love that Wolverine game from a generation ago?
Tho I remembered renting X-Men Legends from Blockbuster, loved it when I was a lad
I'm a fucking retard holy shit. I mean POST-2000. Jesus what the fuck.
Literally every other MCU game bombed and games based off the comics or ones with entirely original stories were selling like crazy. They just didn't think it'd be worth it to do one based off the movies again.
>I wont read anything pre-2000
You honestly should read stories from pre-2000, many of the classics sure didn't come from the 21th century.
Square-Enix / Eidos announced one in 2017, no news ever since, people rumored that E3 2018 would be the full reveal but it didn't happen, now they are hoping it happens now at E3 2019.
Because Disney sees more dollar signs with mobile shit
Do you mean 2015 Secret Wars? If so, why?
Square Enix is supposed to be developing one. I feel like now that the 4th Avengers movie is out the perfect window for it passed though. MUA3 might fill that gap though, it's pretty Avengers/GotG-heavy with some X-Men so people don't riot like with MvCi (and like two Inhumans, Miles, and Spider-Gwen just because).
It's supposed to be happening, but no fucking news since 2017.
I adore the blueberry so much
>Do you mean 2015 Secret Wars? If so, why?
I like big scale stuff like that. I don't know! I don't really read much comics
There's way better events, though. That one was dogshit
>The era of the licensed movie game died halfway through Phase 1 of MCU
>We never got an Ant-Man action platformer
>We never got a Dr. Stange game that's like playing as a Dragon's Dogma Sorceror 24/7
>We never got a Black Panther hack-and-slash game with a fire OST
>We DID however get a fucking Telltale GotG game that nobody played
I remember a scrapped avengers game that was going to be first person that looked like it had potential. Each character played very differently and had their own story path like the predator vs alien fps games years ago.
>Now how do you feel about the new MUA game?
The mixed MCU designs make no sense, why Nebula is full MCU while Gamora is her comics self?
>he doesn't know
it's going to be basically be made by naughty dog in first person and will focus on your playable character being an inhuman but that is just really the premise for the character creator. Character creator = terragenesis and it's basically like a city of heros type of deal with a marvel skin and cinematic.
What's wrong with it?
The only other "modern" runs I've read is Superior Spider-Man (which I liked), Superior Iron Man (which I didn't like), and The Flintstones (kino)
Leave Capekino to me
Since we're doing some general comics talk in this thread, I want to say that despite most of the minority legacy heroes of the past few years being mediocre-to-shit in execution, Cho Hulk was great. It helps that Cho was an established character with ties to Banner that had never been physically involved with the superhero stuff before, mostly being support via his smarts or the straight-man in a duo.
I remember tha, it looked very cash money
>Cho Hulk was great.
You are fucking joking right? In my days the Hulk was running from literally everyone who hated him, with great stories in his misery, Asian Hulk was on Starbucks having social meetings.
if you read capeshit comics you're a fucking homo
i want to impregnate that black widow
inF4MOUS when? 3 couldn't have bombed that hard, it was a fucking launch title. I just want more stuff from this franchise.
>blocks your path
>subsequently stops blocking your path
I remember this being pretty fun
does anybody actually even like these games outside of forced marketing threads? I never see them discussed at all anywhere else. I see shitty old MMORPGs that lasted a few months get more discussion than these games do.
It's more that Sucker Punch has probably been working on Tsushima since Second Son wrapped.
>tfw Second Son pussied out of giving you paper powers
I remember there being a x man game where played with nightcrawler, iceman and wolverine, was it this one?
Do you live on 4channel or something? People talk about these all the time? What makes you think there are forced marketing threads? The series hasn't had a game in 5 years.
You can only be thinking of X-Men Legends.
You can skip to the final issue and not miss anything important. Literally no character other than 616 Reed and Doom mattered in it. Every fucking time someone is about do something cool, Doom blue balls the reader, and it goes on for 9 issues that take nearly a year to finish since the artist couldn't keep a fucking schedule.
There is no good reason that every book being published at the time had to be canceled for that shit.
So should I buy this bundle for $60? Reminder the license is pretty much gone everywhere and it's considered hard to get now.
Infamous 3 could have been great if they just let you change powers sets on the fly rather than having to stop everything to find a power source to swap.
That's X-Men The Last Stand you're thinking of
I remember because I used to rent it just about every weekend from the local video store before they left abruptly
No this ones all wolverine but for a generic movie game I recall having a ton of mindless fun
inFamous 1 was a really solid fresh IP with some good ideas and solid writing. Nothing amazing but for a game I got for free because of Sony apologizing for getting hacked I enjoyed it. I did like [Prototype] more though because of the way more involved movement and interesting stealth aspects, but inFamous 2 is said to be a good amount better than the first.
That said the best non-licensed superhero game is The Wonderful 101.
Sure why not.
i liked marvel heroes
shame it had to end
diablo with marvel skin is a no brianer that could be done right with the right people
Ok, so I've been playing lots of capeshit crap growing up and can call some of the better ones.
The Hulk (2003) – pretty good beat'em-up with stealth levels as Banner. Also has amazing Grey Hulk mode that makes the big guy spew one-liners left and right.
Wolverine (2009) – violent and fun GoW clone with some unique twists. Just be sure to steer away from the PS2/PSP/Wii verions. They are crap. You need PC and last-gen consoles version.
X-Men Legends, Legends 2, Marvel Ultimate Alliance – very good Diablo clones with fun stories, great roster of characters and very atmoshperic levels. One of the best mutie games ever made.
X-Men Mutant Academy 1-2 (2000-2001) – decent fighting games on PS1. I'd recommend the second one as it has a large roster and even includes Spider-Man. Also, paraplegic Xavier.
Fantastic Four (2005) – mediocre beat'em-up based on mediocre movie, yet the only way to play F4 game (aside from MUA) and not be completely disgusted by lack of quality. Because there's the game based on the second movie and ooh boy, it smells like Wasp after being BLOBBED.
No, not legends, althrough I also had this one
Yeah, I think it is this one, I recall final fight with sabertooth being fucking hard as balls.
I remember this one, I was stuck on Lady DS
>The Hulk (2003) – pretty good beat'em-up with stealth levels as Banner. Also has amazing Grey Hulk mode that makes the big guy spew one-liners left and right.
How the hell can you recommend the damn movie tie-in game and not Ultimate Destruction? Did you actually not play the best Hulk game ever made or are you seriously recommending the bare bones movie game instead of it?
That shit killed the fucking game, just completely ruined the moment. I was literally always just hiding behind something waiting for a power source to recharge. The bitch heals so slow and they'd always force you to use a power source that was completely useless for the scenario. But, the biggest insult is how they hype concrete up and then you finally get a completely nerfed version of what you've been seeing and only get to use it for one mission.
>you will never get a black panther mgr clone with cheesy nigger rap as the music
fuck
Punisher had 2 or 3 good games. Best was probably that beat-em-up where P2 was Fury.
Anyone ever play the Hulk game that was on 360/PS3?
I remember always wanting to play it because of how much I liked Ultimate Destruction, but I never picked it up.
Is it any good?
Liking the Arcade beat em' up over anything else is pure nostalgia talking, the best one is obviously the 3rd person shooter for PC, PS2, Xbox, it give the best Punisher experience ever outside the comics.
>Is it any good?
Absolute trash, it tried to mimic Ultimate Destruction as it was a damn near perfect game but don't be fooled, it's nowhere the same, the visuals are vomit inducing, pop-ins everywhere, draw distance is literally PS1 level, just climb a building and you could see the whole city as grey boxes.
>no mention of Lego Marvel 1
this shit was before Perlmutter and Fox took away the FF and X Men video game rights, come on now.
If you've played Spider-Man 2 then Spider-Man 3 on PS3 then it's basically like that. It's like UD but the city's fucking empty and there's barely anything to destroy. The mechanics are nerfed and the controls are terrible. Just a complete downgrade that tried to emulate the previous one but completely failed in every way.
It's a fun Lego game, but if you think it's on the same level as some of the classics already mentioned in this thread then you are out of your mind.
I was really discouraged from LEGO games in general after Lego Batman 3 let me down. They all feel look like soulless cash-ins now and it's very apparent that the quality is slipping with each new release.
whats the best Lego Marvel game?
>the only game where you can play as Squirrel Girl is gone
Fuck Disney or whoever's responsible for killing that game.
Lego Marvel says hi
This dead game had a GOAT roster and plenty of non avengers characters too.
What made you stray away from LB3?
I admit it's inferior than the first two but still how come?
>guys who made Thor were making Battle Realms 2
>it died last year
What if Lego MvC?
I'd say 1>2>Avengers
>You can play as Howard the Duck
Yeah alright, I'll still saying that LM1 is cool though
>look this up on amazon
>no record of its existence
>only super heroes 2 is shown
Damn.
>Howard the Duck
This character would never work as a movie, yet it somehow got one in the nineties, what the fuck.
It had way too much going on. It was barely a Batman game and way more than Justice League game with a Batman focus like 2. I don't expect LEGO games to have the best story ever but it just wasn't even interesting or funny like the first two. Outside of that, there was tons of shit to unlock but most of it wasn't fun to use. Half the "characters" are clones of each other because it's either alternate costumes for existing characters or characters with extremely similar movesets. On top of all that it was pretty buggy, I ran into many glitches that set me back hours of progress. It just really let me down after how much fun I had with 2.
*I'm still saying
Jfc I need to sleep, later dudes
Yeah, makes sense.
2 had the better setting just being Gotham and stuff, and the lack of one in 3 in favor of hub worlds is kinda garbo imo
The same reason I haven't mentioned any Spidey games. It's being recommended every time someone starts a capeshit thread here. But the original Hulk game by Radical is pretty good too and desrves attention, I think. It's quite solid linear beat'em-up and has nothing to do with the movie storywise.
That Thor game was pretty kino desu
Yeah you go so many places and can't call any of them home except the spaceship. Then you have to sit through loading screen after loading screen to go between all the worlds and none of them are very good and some are downright poorly designed. Like the Lantern planets, they were way too fucking small to have so much clutter on them, hardly any room to walk around.
>All we have is more Spiderman, Lego and mobile games
>They'll never try anything risky or innovative again
>Even if they do it'll be bogged down for SYNERGY
Spider-Man ps4, bamham, and umvc3 are the only good capeshit related games.
NO, do NOT
pirate the 2006 raven version. the remaster is not mod-friendly and activision was so lazy on it control support is almost non-existent
they are STILL modding the 2006 original game and it's based
>not playing the GOAT cape fighting games
>mullet-man
>green arrow
hehe no thanks
Can't go wrong with Punisher Max
I'm a consolefag
>2006 raven
I can't find this version.
2006 version has low min specs, almost any pc can run it today
it's just the 4 GB one on pirate bay, one with the most seeds. should be raven-mau.iso or whatever
don't get the 2016 remastered/codex releases
Thank you so much. Is this pretty much the same came as MUA1? I was about to buy it for PC just now but saw that it is not possible.
>that ass on Gamora
it's literally a rip of the 2006 MUA yeah
>the Flinstones
Absolute 10/10 taste user. In terms of recommendations, you can't go wrong with Superior Foes of Spiderman, Bone, the whole run of Invincible and the Goon. Before that, Justice League International from the 90s was fantastic and so was Geoff John's Justice Society.
Nice.
so MUA 2 was trash? Not worth the buy?
>I have to get a PS3 or 360 to play this
IT'S NOT FAIR
Huh? It's on PC as well.
>2005 was 14 years ago
what the hell man
I'm a console fag. When I got my apartment, I was going to turn my other bedroom into a PC room, but my mom butted in and put a fucking bed in it.
>just watched synecdoche new york
>realize the past 4 years have been the fastest of my fucking life
This game is actually pretty good if you’re a Cap fan. Bouncing a shield off of Nazi skulls, deflecting bullets, doing gymnastics, all the classic Cap shit. It’s way too easy though.
Both Genesis games are good. Brutal though.
It's an alright God Of War clone. It's funny how DmC Devil may Cry stole a mechanic from this game.
I tried so hard to like Cho Hulk and I hated it. He needs Herc to bounce off of.
Remember me?
Also he had hero’d, he had Herc’s mace for a while + Banner tech
Fuck forgot image
god damn, that game owned. i remember getting the preorder edition with the little action figure, that was cool. never played 2 but i heard it wasn't as good anyway.
this guy knows what the fuck is up
>the Goon
Based taste, can't go wrong with The Goon.
>tfw The Goon movie is apparently still in production
it's never coming out, is it?
This looks a lot like the ultimate spiderman game.
And I'm not talking about the cel-shading
The director's show Love Death and Robots came out. Maybe The Goon will come out eventually as well.
>voiced by Chris
Hmm shall I purchase?
How about Thor? I think each game is like $10. They got their OG VA's
>why won't they make a AAA Avengers game?
It's because Disney/Marvel know they'd have to make games for the PlayStation which is owned by SONY, who own the rights to Spider-man which Disney/Marvel desperately want back, so Disney/Marvel are being petty shits by not making games to further enrich a rival company!!!FACT!!!
Completely worth it for those fucking ragdoll physics
>her comics self
THAT SHIT WAS ONLY USED FOR LIKE 2 YEARS ABOUT 6 YEARS AGO! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! QUIT USING THAT SHITTY MASS EFFECT ARMOR!
MARVEL Powers United VR looks kind of similar.
Raven was a good studio. A shame they were condemned to slave away in the COD support pits.
Will they ever make another one like this?
During it's prime DCUO for me was the quintessential capeshit experience.
>I wont read anything pre-2000
Yikes.
...
this
Did somebody mod in the dlc characters yet?
Ill give this game one thing
Its bike sections where much better than Bayonetta
The Thor game is like a good of war clone. Totally worth it.
Funny how within, like, half a year there were three superhero games with very similar premise released. Web of Shadows, inFamous and Prototype have the city slowly going to shit, karma system and open world traversing. Which one is best, though? I think inFamous is, with Web of Shadows being close second. For me Prototype got boring pretty fast.
Based
They really fucked the story on 3, the DUP are such a non threat to the main character and were woefully underdeveloped. There really should have been some time where your captured and see how the conduits are treated first hand.
After seeing how underdeveloped video and concrete were I’m sort of glad we didn’t get paper. Smoke and light were some of the most enjoyable powers I’ve seen in a game which makes it all that more disappointing they couldn’t stick the landing.
This and LoTR were the last great LEGO games imo.
The character creator was kino, anything that lets you become a shapeshifter is S tier.
I keep hearing that the Thor game on the DS was alright.
I didn't even realize there was going to be a Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3. Thoughts on gameplay footage so far?
I don't mind the style change but the environments leave a lot to be desired. Also I'm not getting the dungeon crawler vibe the first one did which is worrisome.
XIII is getting remade, actually.
This was an alright game for the the 4.99. Wish Rocksteady would make a Watchmen game like the Arkham series.
they need to remaster this and include all the version exclusive shit
i remember playing the fantastic four ps2 game and being in some burning building. had mindless beat em up gameplay. does it at least have some comic characters in it that aren’t in the movie?
I thought they did? Is the PS4 version different from what they put on Steam? I had it on PS3 and the PS4 def comes with some new shit.
>punisher netflix and riverdale crossover never
looks like absolute shit
Original superhero games aren't capeshit. They're actually good video games.
explain
>Most of these super hero games arent as dirt cheap as I thought
Why the fuck is Captain America and Web of Shadows $20+??
i just want a capcom vs dc but it would never happen because MK devs owned by WB and make their fighting games
I want a Marvel vs DC game.
Except Origins
To be fair you probably picked the worst time to buy any superhero games what with the latest Avengers having just come out. Not saying they aren't normally expensive, but at the moment you're paying a premium.
Don’t read anything post 00s. New 52 was shit and has sucked since. Marvel don’t care about the comics now they make bank from movies. It’s a dead art form.
Even the gamestop prices increased? I can definitely tell on amazon they're top dollar. Fuck maybe I should grab the MUA bundle for console if this is the case. Amazon is the last place to sell it, it seems.
>games marketing promised a lineup of less popular villains hunting batman
>turns out it’s the fucking joker again
>it’s a joker origin story
>the same story we have seen a million times
are they contractually obliged to have him included in every game? it made sense in knight even, but origins just wasn’t necessary to have him
Would it be better to buy comics in a 'collection' format or w/e? For example I have the dark phoenix saga in a bigish book so far. What would I look up to find the infinity war saga?
>ghost rider
>xmen origins wolverine
>shattered dimensions
>iron man 1
>ultimate alliance
Feel free to add any
honestly just read scans online. that shit adds up quickly
I NEED to play this.
gonna be picking it up real soon as well! This and Lego Super Heroes are on my list.
I played this. It was as average as any game could ever be and probably a 5/10 at best. I always felt it was hated more due to the fact so many hated Silicon Knights at the time.
>Captian Quark brigade.
It's fun.
>environmental kills
That's the good shit I need
Get ready for E3.
can't believe that Sora's an Avenger now
the joker is probably known more than batman himself outside of the capeshit fandom
That Iron Man VR game looks kind of neat.
damn not bad
Kino fights with flash
Before the newest God of War game came out I was planning on making a prototype for a Thor game. The gameplay was almost identical to God of War, so it's kinda pointless now.
Just slap a Captain America skin on it and call it a day.
It's hilarious how capeshit the new GoW actually is
>team-up moves
>fight scenes straight outta Man of Steel
>Marvel inspired weapons
also muh quips, I guess
>games have never copied another's gameplay
>there has never been a god of war gameplay clone
Lol?
I unironically like it because I thought Gamora looked pretty good in MvCI
Has anyone played Telltale Guardians of the Galaxy? I liked Wolf Among Us, Batman and Tales from Borderlands, but GOTG always looked kinda lame. It's like they were attempting to go with how the movies looked but missed the mark. I could be wrong though.
For me it was the hub worlds. I went through the story and it was cool and all but once I beat it I just didn’t have the drive to 100% and get everything and grind for studs, mini kits, red and gold bricks AGAIN. I liked the openness of Gotham City in 2, and 3 just didn’t bring me in the way the first two did. I’ve been considering picking up lego games again with DC Villains, The LotR/Hobbit series or hopefully new star wars ones.
I was actually kind of interested in this. Movies were ok
How is edgeFAMOUS ALL AMERICAN Son?
3 had way too much it was almost overwhelming. iirc, there was the batcave, hall of justice, the watch tower with multiple areas, hall of doom AND the lantern planets. I guess in terms of variety and exploration, but when it came down to it and unlocking everything after the story fuck man I just couldn’t be bothered. It was too much. I liked exploring and messing around with vehicles in Batman 2. Gotham was great.
XO: Wolverine is fun but so weird with its pacing and some of the design choices. It feels about twice as long as it needs to be, some of the levels are bloated to fuck. Not to mention some of those hilarious boss fights where the boss has a fucking trillion points of HP. Or that part where you are dropping on to a helicopter and unless you keep pushing the stick upwards as you are falling, you will get caught in the spinning blades and die.
>hey this actually looks cool and I have never played a LEGO game before
>proceed to 100% the game
>now I never wish to play another LEGO game ever again
has that much content huh? does it have online multiplayer or only couch coop?
Jesus Christ that looks anti-fun.
pretty sure it's just couch co-op. it's not a massive game, I think it took me around 40 hours to 100% but after around a halfway point, you begin to do a lot of repetition and the cool pay-off in the form of a unique unlock or a scene starts to get farther in between. but there's a lot to love for a Marvel fan, there are a LOT of pretty deep cuts.
only ultimate you should touch is ultimate spider man, it's cringe and tryhard edgy and ugly as fuck but it holds up decently for post 2000s comic standards.
I hate it when in Lego games you see areas that you can't enter because you don't have the character yet. Same thing with the Arkham games and not having the equipment yet.
now give me pre 2000 recommendations cause thats what I actually meant.
Telling people to recommend comics is like saying recommend me movies. We need to know what characters you'd like to read or what genre.
last lego games I played were star wars back in 04. I remember them being fun but I was a kid. I always that Lego games now were just shameless kiddish cash grabs but the reception for Super Heroes is very good.
>areas that you can't enter because you don't have the character yet
this is a huge thing in lego marvel superheroes. it doesn't help that all the points of interaction are very visually distinct so when they are littered all around the map, you keep seeing them. the game's saving grace is that traversal is fun because flying feels good and different characters have slightly different handling and effects. TTgames really put the work in.
Oh right, I'm a retard. Well I'm very interested in X-Men and Spider-Man. I'm checking out some of the old Ghost Rider comics and they look interesting too (Old West Ghost Rider). Very interested in Old West Marvel
start at the beginning if you're that interested, though old lee comics are just WORDSWORDSWORDS and theyre all incredibly hokey and trash
>when they are littered all around the map, you keep seeing them
to flip this into a positive, it's the main way that I found the game pushing me forward. when I saw an obstacle where I recognized I needed to become Ant-Man, the promise of miniaturizing as a game mechanic is enough to keep you playing just to unlock it. and it happens over and over and over again, the game drip feeds exciting content and turned me into an addict until I saw and did everything.
No matter what these redditors tell you skip noire entirely. Spider Man noire is the worst book i've ever read in full, visual or otherwise. the praise it gets is entirely from fat unironic fedoralords who just want to live in a smokey detective room in the 30s. it's fucking garbage.
Here's more
X-Men
check out kraven’s last hunt for spoder
Google for "Yea Forums recommended comics" there's lists for different characters
This list makes no fucking sense stop posting it what the fuck does the AMS one even mean where it says stop whenever you wish then tells you to go back and read 31-33, 121-122, etc
list is fucking stupid
Ghost Rider
I have Deadpool on steam. Does it count?
absolutely based, thanks guys. Maybe an unrelated question but, how the fuck does stuff in the comics become canon? Or rather who decides it would be a better question? Is Peter Parker officially dead? I remember hearing a fuss about that a few years ago. Are there some series that have more "official" canonicity to it? I have always wondered this.
Gravity Rush FEELS like capeshit
Marvel Super Heoes (fighting game)
reading through roy thomas early run of xmen now. i am so relieved that it basically ends at 60. that means i am nearly at claremont's
Prototype 2 is a proper sequel to Hulk gameplay wise, you just gotta ignore the main nigger's retardation
I love the movement
Canon in comics is kinda fucked. The writers just decide to ignore things and sometimes use something someone else wrote. You really shouldn't worry about it. At one point Peter Parker switched bodies with dying Doctor Octopus, and Doc Ock became Superior Spider-Man.
I'm currently trying to hunt down the SEGA-published MCU games for shits and giggles, but they're relatively rare even in used copies, only got luck in finding the PS3 version of Thor.
As for Spider-Man, it's the same thing with 2 games i'm missing, Web of Shadows and Edge of TIme.
I'd prefer to use online payments as last resorts but it's becoming more and more the only option left.
I wanted to do this too, are you collecting them on PC or console?
PS3.
Thor has a couple of good ideas but the presentation is hideous and the gameplay too repetitive to be good.
there is a main continuity called "earth 616" and there are also many alternate universe stories of different earths which are not canon. spiderman did die in the 616 canon a few years ago but got revived.
I seem to faintly remember that Thor is just a God of War reskin. Is that wrong?
Yes and no, it tries to be like that but it's too simple for its own good, recycled enemy types, annoying pace (you have to stop have use your hammer as a ranger weapon occasionally for distant enemies but it's very schizofrenic) and a very simple story that while not following the movie it doesn't have a bite. For a PS3 title after stuff like God of War II were released, this isn't acceptable.
I just want to chill with my superbros...
Sounds like a carbon copy to me but you do you
The story of Silicon Knights is tragic, right up until I remember the actions they took leading directly to their demise. Straight up moronic
