By saving all the free rolls and crystals you get. Save up 300 rolls and you have a spark, and you get plenty of free shit in GBF.

I'm playing since december, so I got 2 roulettes (christmas and anniversary) of characters, one discounted spark thanks to the roulette and I just got a new spark to spend. Basically, I have most of the characters I wanted (I'm playing to know the lore and characters before Versus and Relink). Basically, I can enjoy the game without any problem, only HL stuff (if you care about that) seems to be hard like a MMO and will demand a long grind to have a strong grid, but whales can also put money on weapons for their grids. But if you are here to enjoy the story, side stories/events and characters, you absolutely don't need do to that.
