Games really were better in the old days Zoomer, get over it. Modern games are shit.
No, I don't. I know because I bought it again last month and started it yesterday. It addresses actual hood problems, has great dialogue, superb voice acting, and lets you be your own person.
Maybe I do, maybe I don't. An old, overrated game will always be better than microtransactions and spyware being touted around as a "game."
Don't get me started on the soundtrack. Even the talk show radio station is hilarious, even if you haven't been smoking. One minute you're popping ballas from your lowrider, the next you're flying a fucking jet. It's the ultimate rags to bitches game yet.
I just started playing it for the first time today after replaying IV.
So far it's better then IV and better then the start of V. I'll see if its overall better then V. The whole stats shit seems rather better. Only concern so far is that the map looks like it might be stretched out or something.
After this I'm gonna play vice city and replay V.
If this game had the graphics and physics of 5 no one would play the new one
Nah. The PS2 games were peak GTA and it all went to shit starting with IV.
The map is actually smaller than 5 but what made it feel big at the time is 3 cities compared to 5’s single one.
Few modern games will allow me to jump on an AI’s car, shoot to spook them and then allow me to do the closest thing to a rail shooter that isn’t scripted.
fuck off IV is the best gta to date
I miss the absolute hype this game cultivated. It was the talk of the entire industry and was sold out everywhere you looked. Then you eventually got hold of it and it lived up to the hype.... and then some.
There won't ever be a release like it again thanks to digital.
IV was absolutely mindblowing and revolutionary. Niko would literally use the stairs, lift each foot onto each step. And you could push people down those stairs, and they would fall realistically. The way Hasidic Jews rolled off of the hood of Roman's taxi when you ran them over, just amazing. You're a contrarian faggot, IV was the best.
Naw. Sure it has aged and what not like almost anything else missing some conventions that modern tech now can easily afford us. But for what it is it still stand out on its own being a super fun experience whenever i choose to replay it.
No its not
Has less content than San Andreas
I've replayed this game on a regular basis since 2004. The most recent time was a few months ago. I just really like the game.
It's not just the three cities, but the fact that there's actually stuff out in the countryside to explore. SA in general uses its areas better than V did. So much of the map above Los Santos were mountains, and most mountains didn't even have anything interesting on them. In SA, you had a lot of small towns, out of the way structures, and a lot more interesting odds and ends to make note of. Exploring the map of SA felt more like a road trip compared to doing it in V, even though the map was a lot smaller.
When did younger people start to hate everything old? When I was a kid I remember kids my age were able to appreciate older games. Maybe not prefer them but never dis them or call them shit like you see the zoomers on here do all the time.
Add Minecraft to the top and Risk of Rain to the bottom to trigger more people.
The character customization options were hot garbage, and all the cars seemed to have water beds for suspension. The city was fucking boring, and it had the kind of bleak, gray-brown color palette that was popular around the time, which certainly didn't make it more memorable.
Maybe it was a decent game on its own, but after SA, it was just disappointing.
Might try this out, sounds fun
Having more content doesn't automatically make a game better
This is why you IVfags are the absolute worst. It's always about the tech with you. You jerk off to the ragdolls and car damage while completely ignoring all the things they cut out from previous games and turned GTA into just another brown and grey cover shooter of the 7th gen.
