Anyone else already bored of Dreams before its release and wants MM to go back to LBP to make a fourth game?

anyone else already bored of Dreams before its release and wants MM to go back to LBP to make a fourth game?

>characters feel and move like shit
>even "games" with a shit ton of logic behind the characters feel like shit
>most "games" have as much depth as a mobile phone game
>environments are trash, everything looks like fucking play-doh glued together, characters included
>no actual playable character like sackboy unless you consider the imp to be your character
>requires ps move to sculpt anything half decent and most people aren't going to get one just for dreams
>everything can be copied or """"remixed"""" so there's no real creator identity

despite its limits I find LBP to be a way better game overall

Is this a developer demo or something?

This is the fourth game
They did everything that could be done in 2 and the 3rd was just milking the franchise with gimmicky shit
Dreams is the natural progression

Anyone else think the narrator(s) is shitty and condescending
They talk to you like talking to a baby

SONY

HIRE

it's the open beta available to anyone

What's the best looking stuff to come out of this thing so far?

Is this going to go out with a whimper like Project Spark?

The solution to all those gripes is literally "git gud"
There should be a story mode out with the final product. Maybe that'll be more your speed.

I unironically want an all-new Tearaway for VR. But at this point it wouldn't be that special, since there are quite a few games now with the player being his own character while controlling a smaller character.

I would like to know what will happen to MM if Dreams flops. They stayed profitable so far thanks to micro-transactions from LBP but had two flops with tearaway already. I highly doubt Sony is going to keep them around since unlike Bend they are not working on generic shit guaranteed to sell if you market it enough. They already killed Liverpool studio and the Motorstorm devs for few flops. So prepare for more movie shit if Dreams fails.

Well thats just how british people are in general , user.

Every Thursday MM do a stream of the week's best looking stuff(non-copyrighted). Usually the demos are short, but they put together the full playlist/collection so you can go into dreams and play everything yourself.

DEEEEE DEEEEEEEEEEEEE

It's Early Access and it costs $30 for the full tools and community creations, and when the full game releases you will get the full upgrade at no extra cost.

>want to make games
>can't stop sculpting tits and thicc asses
HELP!

I wish they had more pre-built mechanics like lbp did. Stuff like grabbing and swimming and the power ups like the grappling hook. Right now it’s too overwhelming for anyone to make anything remotely fun. Just concepts, walking simulators, and phone tier mini games

what the fuck do you faggots want? You can make literally fucking anything in dreams and you still find a way to complain

I think these threads could benefit from being on /vg/ where a community can come together and share their tips and creations. This game is clearly meant to be played with others. You'd have to be a savant to make something of quality (with music, art, animations, logic) completely alone.

A goal, for starters. Dreams is in a weird limbo zone where it’s too freeform to appeal to Minecraft levels of autism (where you’re still working within established rules and have clear goals to reach), but it’s still restrictive in the sense that you probably can’t sell your creation and thus there’s no incentive to make a large-scale game with a ton of effort (unless Sony foots the bill for competitions or something).

It’s the equivalent of dumping a box of Lego bricks on the floor and telling someone to make something, but only giving them the most basic 2x4 bricks. Everyone is either going to want a premade set to build, or at the very least some interesting pieces to better express their creativity.
