Arcfire should be used when you've cornered your opponent. There's more or less obvious situations in which it's good, from near the ledge, to when reading your opponent's option Out of Shield. It isn't a move that can be thrown out so recklessly as long as your opponent isn't comitting.
To push them to commit to a more defensive playstyle, you have powerful Levin Sword aerials, and the different variants of Thunder, which you can jump cancel to retreat & charge more as means of incentivising an approach from your opponent, or approaching them and mixing them up with an erial, or an empty hop into a grab if you expect them to shield, or Nosferatu.
Nosferatu is another situational move that can be good if you know your opponent is going to shield: When landing next to them, if they do expect you to use your aerials or a projectile, it will be a pretty rewarding punish.
Make sure to mix up well between retreating aerials or aerials at point blank range: The former may enable your opponent to pick a wrong Out of Shield option, and open themselves up for Arcfire or anything else as they commit, while the latter enables more combos & better positioning to potentially capitalize on.
Don't burn Double Jump too early, as Robin's bad air speed & poor landing options will only make you more vulnerable. Think about what your opponent is doing & react accordingly.

You really need to know what each of your tools is for, zero in on what you can read in your opponent's actions, and use the moves that punish that specific thing. You have no combos at all outside of ArcFire -> any Levin attack and UTilt -> USmash at VERY specific %s. Your grab and throws are bad outside of just getting them offstage if you grab near the ledge, and Nosferatu isn't much better outside of healing you.
Learn how to use discarded books and swords effectively. Learn how to cover your approach or set up combos she otherwise wouldn't have with them, or at least situations that otherwise wouldn't exist. The biggest brain thing you can do is put yourself in a situation where you have only one Levin swing left and are pressuring them from beneath a platform with it, and allowing the sword being discarded to be an unexpected second attack after the swing.
Basically, Robin is really fucking bad unless you have an IQ of 500. Now that I've contributed, I can feel okay about posting this image.

Learn how to use Levin Sword to pressure people. It does ridiculous shield damage, shield stun and is really scary.
Only other thing I'd say is get really really good at edgeguarding / ledgetraping. It's becoming more and more apparent that these two things will separate bad players from good players, and good from great players.
