on normal? no way in hell
this motherfucker was easy as shit
on any other difficulty? i guess
>not Nightmare 3
Nightmare 3 is easy as hell if you aren't dumb and know how to manage the cores. Nelo 3 is fucking insane with his damage. On DMD can literally 0 to 100 you in the blink of an eye if you fuck up clashing attempts.

based boss, fun game
only real issue is the yellow orb system not having a "restart mission" button when you die so you have to use one then reset to main menu and load save
>DeS
False King Allant
>DaS
Manus
>DaS2
Darklurker
>DaS3
sister Friede
>BB
Orphan of Kos
>Sekiro
Sword Saint Isshin
Game loads so quickly it's not even an issue though. Reset to Main Menu to Load Game to starting the mission takes all but 5 seconds.
Why was DMD so much better in DMC1?
The sequels just make enemies sponges.
DMC1 felt like it combined efficiency with style more than the later games. You could kill enemies very quickly if you know what you're doing, but later games padded their HP a bit to give you more room to make use of the changing combat system.
then it could be faster by just having a restart mission button
All the HP buffs were saved for the bosses and not the mooks. Hard and DMD normal enemies don't have any health buffs, and if they do it's incredibly small. Bosses on DMD feel incredibly dangerous.
>Nelo 3 is fucking insane with his damage. On DMD can literally 0 to 100 you in the blink of an eye if you fuck up clashing attempts.
I always have the most trouble with Nelo 3 on DMD runs.
OP when you say hardest do you mean on the first try, or even for experienced players?
Yeah I won't argue there, just saying the current system loads pretty fast already.
Obligatory
Nelo 3 on DMD will fuck up even experienced DMC1 players his damage is out of control, one fuck up will cost you 50%-100% of your HP bar depending on what attack he hits you with. I honestly feel Nelo 3 on DMD is harder than any iteration of Vergil.
>Hard and DMD normal enemies don't have any health buffs
They actually have less health on DMD for some reason
More like the only boss that's difficult. everyone else was piss easy
Honestly feel that's how difficulty should be done, but like one user pointed out the later games live and die by the Style meter system so enemies with less HP would be a hindrance to that. If Marionettes devil trigger they get so much HP it's absurd.
One Critical Hit I could never get out consistently was the Blades one. I don't know how to knock them on their stomach instead of their back
>If Marionettes devil trigger they get so much HP it's absurd.
That's when I'll just pop DT and use inferno or air raid, it'll still kill them fairly quickly
I always try shotgunning them in the back and it seems like they only land on their stomach about half the time. I think their hitbox might be a little wonky, and maybe being too close makes it register as you shooting them from the front/side or something like that. Or maybe it's from the shotgun's spread.
The camera is the hardest boss of DMC1.
Nero Angelo is the easiest boss, but for all the right reasons. The camera is often pretty good (though the second fight has clear issues), and his moves are clearly defined both visually and (mostly) regarding their hitboxes.
Griffon 3, Nightmare 3, and Mundus are easily the hardest bosses.
Some enemies had higher health, and if the Marionettes ever entered Devil Trigger they'd gain a ton of it and heal any damage they had previously taken. The Shadows were tremendously obnoxious too with their detached pink needles.
Play on DMD, Griffon 3 and Nightmare 3 are very easy compared to Nelo 3. Nelo's burst damage is absurd.
They all hit like a truck. It's easiest to keep away from Nero Angelo and counter his attacks. Nightmare's DT Round Trip can basically one-shot Dante if the miracle pixel doesn't activate.
Because Devil Trigger Buffs.
Yes, but Nelo can burst you down before you even know what happened. The only hard part about Griffon 3 is his first phase when he decides to just be invincible for no reason.
>Isshin
>hard
I died more times to the Guardian Rape Ape.
I killed darklurker first time without even knowing what the fuck I was in for. I don't agree with the DS2 one at all
Griffon's second phase can supremely blitz you by running in your face, shoving you into a wall, then yanking you somewhere when he jumps back and unleashes lightning. Furthermore, all it takes is one hit and Dante's thrown into a bad pattern that can be tough to escape.
As for Nightmare, he basically exists to land a pot shot at all times, and they can loop together. His final phase is also extremely annoying. Mundus is basically a constant onslaught of tricky attacks where the slightest error sends Dante flying into the next move. It's as if he has a "house wins" coding program at times, with some moves hitting no matter what dodges are used, and he keeps spamming triple meteorite rains whenever I fight him. Phantom mainly just has an annoying camera in his first fight and his meteorite rain acts a bit oddly at times in his second fight. Nero Angelo is far more manageable and the camera is less of a hindrance to boot.
The Angelo 3 room is probably the worst example of it.
Make a wrong movement, you won't be able to see shit and you'll get ass raped into a good 60% - 100% if you are unlucky.
It's pretty tough to get that camera in a bad spot, and it's usually just for the sword projectiles to boot. The Phantom 1 camera is probably the worst in the entire game.
