silver was my first pokemon game so i had no idea what kanto was

"What's a Kanto?" because no one paid attention to region names at that point.

I forgot the name of the Kanto region, but caught on when I got to Pewter City. I thought it was cool.

I bought Silver on release(I saved up my lunch money in middle school and rode my bike to Toys 'R' Us release weekend, like five miles away at 10 years old or so) and I played and adored the shit out of it. I didn't realize what the regions actually were until I ended up in Saffron City, then it dawned on me what was happening, which was really fucking cool at the time.
