I liked it
I liked it
The only people who didn't are joyless faggots.
I think it was not complete shit, but I preferred 4 and 5 over. No buying and upgrading weapons annoyed me a little. Most people who hated it are oldfags who keep complaining about how Resident Evil was better before though.
Mercenaries was the most fun in this
giraffe blowjob
it's better than RE7 or REm2, but that's not saying much.
and you have shit taste
the people who didn't are the actual RE fans. Go buy your yearly CoD if you want something like it
I enjoyed it because of helena because I love laura bailey
I still haven't played it. It's on sale for $12 right now. Should get it, even it is a below average RE game, that's still better than most games.
>but that’s not saying much.
Yeah. Because you have shit taste.
Are you actually defending those zoomer-bait yank shits? Wew lad...
same, parts of it anyway lol
Mercs mode in 6 is godly
>zoomer-bait yank shits
And RE6 isn't? What's your point?
It's a great schlocky fun TPS with fantastic mechanics and so many little moments that most peopel wont see because they require melle attacks in just the right place to trigger etc.
It's also a fairly terrible Resident Evil game.
However, it oversexualises it's female cast beyond all previous measure.
7 and R2make are the new watershed entries coming in to clean up the series identity, idk what you're on about
helenas sexy
They should re-use the gameplay on a new IP. It's mad fun.
I mean there’s a lot of content, multiple campaigns, ext. it’s just a floaty over the shoulder shooter with RE characters. Game feel is okay, probably a 6/10 ultimately.
>GAMEY GOOD (ignore all the obvious issues, it's GAMEY and everyone who can spot a flaw in your retarded logic is JOYLESS)
>shitty brown and bloom late 2000s/early 2010s gaijin bait good because it's old enough for my zoomer self to be nostalgic over it
Whoever is contrarian enough to unironically praise garbage like RE6 and Ninja Gaiden 2/3 deserve the rope
not sure why jake didnt get his own spinoff sub-series like revelations-esque
It was fucking garbage, however if the entire game was like Leon's section it wouldn't have been so bad.
It's bad, but it has some moments. I like the Mercenaries mode.
Deborah Harper.
For fucks sake.
R u that guy who thinks likin god hand makes u a contrarian?
Comparing God Hand to the absolute shitstain that is RE6 is exactly what I'd expect from somebody with the kind of logic I described. Sasuga user-chan
I liked the fixed up current-gen rerelease. It's still merely okay but at least its enjoyable now.
Lol it is u
I thought it was pretty fun
7 and Demake2 make 6 almost feel like a masterpiece. I bet you fags loved TLOU as well.
That's why you're a virgin.
We're reaching peak contrarianism, here.
Trust me. I'm a resifag who actually didn't mind 6 that much. Hell, I'd play that game a dozen times over than play 0 once. But RE7 and RE2make were both great, top 5 Resi material, actually, and you'd have to be a massive imbecile to think they're not.

good man, user
Good for you. Glad you enjoyed it while I didn't.
>RE7 and RE2make were both great, top 5 Resi material, actually
I seriously hope that you get hit by a speeding bus in the near future. There's a matter of lowering your standards to get some minimal satisfaction out of modern shit, and then there's just outright insanity of yours, that enables and apologizes for utter butchering of everything good.
Are you practicing to be the new Bazztek? god speed lawl
You're the one that puts the classic games on some sort of pedestal. I'm a huge RE2 classicfag, user. It's my favorite of the series and even I recognize how good the REmake is. Saying it isn't as good as the original is one thing, which I AGREE with. Saying it's not good, is fucking retarded. Saying that RE6 is better is almost inexcusible unless you're an action fan first and foremost and you don't even like the classics.
Came here for this
I tried to play it again like 3 months ago and its just painfully un fun.
Not him but REmake 2 is top three for sure. 7 is mid-tier though.
RE6 should've been a new IP instead of a Resident Evil game. Not only would RE be spared of this indecisive game staining its legacy but RE6 wouldn't have the pressure to try and adhere to horror convention when all that did was water down its potential to be the greatest gun kata game of all fucking time. I don't inherently hate what RE6 is, I just don't see (beyond sheer brand recognition) why this wasn't just made into its own IP. It would be a win-win situation and it would probably be a uniformly beloved game instead of pissing off an entire subset of a fanbase while failing to realize its own potential in the process.
7 is mid tier unless you play the VR mode. Trust me on that shit. It's what skyrocketed it to #5 for me.
What changed? I played it on the 360 and it was...ok, I preferred ORC ironically enough. It's on sale now, convince me to get it again.
>Not him but REmake 2 is top three for sure.
Jesus fuck no.
It's literally ORC and RE6 -tier abomination.
7 is literally Outlast -tier movie.
I tried it and played through the entire game in one sitting, which is usual for me. It's fantastic but since most people won't play the game that way I wasn't factoring it in.
Not that user but you are just spewing random words without thinking of their meaning. At least I hope you are because that is MUCH better than the alternative of you being sincere right now.
You know how the best Resident Evils are the ones where they had to throw everything out in development and start over? That's what should have happened with 6. They might have been onto something with the combat system, but it has way too much jank to be ignored. 6 was the epitome of what was wrong with AAA gaming at the time. Most games deal with delays. Capcom actually pushed the release date forward with 6. Even though, Capcom later had to massive patches to fix even basic stuff like FOV. It was rotten to the core and deserved to fail.
Well depending on when you played it on 360 you may have already seen the changes. They patched it like crazy. Camera was massively improved and customizable, QTEs were altered, balance was tweaked. The current-gen versions also run at 60fps which is a huge improvement. But if you didn't like it before I wouldn't suggest buying it again.
You're trying way too hard. Few games will ever be as bad as ORC or launch RE6.
Me too user, me too.
I'm lazy and I forgot to update the chart.
>RE2make is in God Tier
>REVII in Top Tier is specifically the VR version
>RE5 stays in Top Tier, but it's specifically taking Co-op into account
All that said. Prove me wrong.
I think I did play it patched then, the camera never gave me a problem.
On that note I don't think ORC was bad. A let down for sure, but it was awesome when the online was active. Especially the helicopter extraction mode.
>or launch RE6
That's another thing, no one remembers RE6 without the FOV slider and QTE toggles. Those weren't there at launch.
I hope you cry yourself to sleep tonight knowing that I am being 100 + 1 % sincere and honest when I say that I would gladly go back in time and massacre all of Crapcom's employees before they got to finish RE7 and the butchering of RE2.
And believe me, I am not alone. When the alternative is seeing the series dumbed down and butchered more and more each year, it would be way more merciful and better to let the whole show die.
>Few games will ever be as bad as ORC or launch RE6.
Yet 7 and DE2 managed just that, without even trying. Jesus, it's like seeing a SH-fan defend Homecoming!
I still do.
>RE6 was the highest selling RE when it came out
>Capcom sleep on it then rebuild the series from the ground up with RE7
Why did they do that? Usually companies go full retard when they see money and you'd expect them just to churn out identical sequels
You're trying too hard and you've made zero arguments other than the "movie game" buzzword with no real substance.
>It doesn't want a player, this linear, quick-time-event-speckled parade of meaningless twaddle, it wants a little ducky it can drag along on a piece of string. Show it a bunch of sparkly lights and then smack it when it doesn't seem impressed. Resident Evil 6 is not the bold fresh continuation needed by a series that hasn't so much worn out its welcome as spent most of its visit shuffling about on its arse, leaving an elongated brown smear along the hallway carpet.
Was he right, Yea Forums?
>Why did they do that? Usually companies go full retard when they see money and you'd expect them just to churn out identical sequels
Probably because RE6 was incredibly expensive to develop>?
There is no way that RE7/REmake2 are worse than RE5/6. Those games lost the plot on the franchise so fucking hard that they're frequently cited as near unplayable in single player. RE7 and REmake2, at the very least, had focused single player campaigns that emphasized horror ambience over balls to the wall action, they're objectively steps towards getting the series back on track after the identity crisis of RE5/6. I don't know what strain of butthurt one has to be to be to think that the series has gotten WORSE after RE5/6 but you should really do something about that. It's only moved steadily closer to its earlier stylings in the years since, albeit in a more modernized context.
Because they think that it's more important to build fan love over the easy buck. Rather than crowd pleaser they rather build a loyal fanbase. It's their new strategy after trying the former.
Capcom went full retard with RE6's budget. Way too much manpower doing way too many things, and you can see it in how kaleidoscopic of a mess the campaigns were. RE6 was initially deemed something of a financial disappointment even though it sold millions, and that's because they might as well have gone in with a blank check after RE5 did as well as it did. With Capcom realizing that they went too far with RE6, they sized things down and refocused their efforts. Plus, there was talk of not even knowing where else to take the action direction even if they wanted to, RE6 tried a metric asston of shit for better or worse and they didn't know how to build upon that, though I'd say the answer would be to focus more on the few things RE6 did right and make a game revolving around those bits.
LOL, you think THAT was "trying too hard"? I guess you've not ever had to work for anything in your life.
I take that you've not even finished any schools, as you demand some sort of "arguments" for cases of straight forward opinion throwing. I also know that you will just green-text shiggy diggy at any sort of argument people would post, acting like a rabbid idiot you are.
But I'll humor you.
RE7 is trash. It is the exact same garbage that's been plaguing the horror genre this whole generation. Just made by a triple-A studio, and wielding a name of an oldass IP.
You get 99% the same experience by WATCHING the game as you would by "playing" it. This was actually stated by bunch of my friends, who went and watched either me play it, or checked out an LP on their own.
There is zero replay value, zero learning curve, and zero challenge. It's a typical, disposable trash title of modern times, meant to be consumed at quick pace and then to be forgotten. Only manufactured hype and literal memes kept it afloat at all.
>There is no way that RE7/REmake2 are worse than RE5/6.
There is, and it happened.
RE7 has literally nothing to do with Resident Evil, period. DEmake 2 is just a TC mod of RE7, which plays like TEW / REV / TLOU, and lives through "lol X gun give it to ya! :^)" memes.
Both are extremely formulatic, predictable, generic and outright boring shit. But apparently the 00s kids are easily distracted by the exact same meal they eat on daily basis, if you just swap the plate.
>It's only moved steadily closer to its earlier stylings in the years since
I somehow doubt you have even SEEN the original games.
Also, you're practically implying that a red tricycle is totally the second best thing to a Corvette, just because you haven't gotten to ride one.
RE5-6 may not have been amazing masterpieces, but god dammit at least they still KINDA jacked-in to the original style and writing. Everything in the 7 & nu-2 are "Netflix Original" -tier shit.
It's fun if you had someone to play with. If you didn't it wasn't very good
Still waiting to get into RE 2 for PC. Got frutrated too quickly at the first stop in a store when numerous shots ddin't stop the zombie from killing me. Can someone recommend just a good game I could truly get into?
>He got jewed into college
>Thinks he's smart for it
OH NO NO NO NO
