the kiwami 2 music mod is available for pc right now. Im not sure if Kiwami 2 is playable on a hacked version of PS4 firmware.

in Kiwami 2 there's a substory at the trannybar where some fag wants to touch his beard and he doesn't like it, so Kiryo beats him up and tells him not to do it again. The man then begs not to be banned from earth angel unless he stops being so problematic.

Go to Kamiyama. You're going to need somewhere in the range of 50 millionish to buy everything from him and you still need to sell him 10 million yen worth of items to get his entire inventory. You can also buy out everything from the stores since you carry everything on your person now if you feel like it.

Has to do with the arcade control scheme. You had 2 sticks. Pull them outwards you jump, pull them inwards >< you crouch/cancel. The problematic part is that one stick up with the other down is used for turning ^v, so there is physically no way to move and turn at the same time. I think some people used jump+cancel to face the opponents, I usually use dash+attack, it automatically faces you too.

Btw you can select the twin stick config from the minigame pause menu in Kiwami 2

How do you deal with those huge couchfuckers in K2? Are you supposed to hit and run or do you get that one heat action later for them?

Some of the videos are for skills, most of them are simply for the silly lines Kiryu gives. He also sells a skill once you beat Jo Amon that makes weapons last infinitely provided you swap to another weapon before it breaks. Selling items to him gives you more stuff to buy from him.

I just throw stuff at them, it's weird that you don't get the heat action against them that K1 gave you

Charge attack and I think you get one free punch then run away and repeat. Or you use an equipped weapon since you get a sword in the Omi HQ and you should already have equips later on. Older games had a Heat Action that instantly killed them if you had Heat but it's kinda random which game has that one.

I am liking the beam sword more than the poison stun knife. It doesn't have a status effect but it's cooler.

Just visit the melon monk and do his melon cutting every chapter after you meet him. You need to make sure you use the boss-specific ones against the boss and make sure you get the 1kat, 2kat, and large weapon ones on Kojiro 1, I think Tengu works, Sekishusai, and one other guy because they're the only way you can do those since there's no other way to trigger them since you need to use boss specific ones.
The same applies to vising The Florist's underground area and doing his kakashi training and jiraiya training since they unlock combo enhancers and Heat Actions. The sexy priestess in the waterfall is also something you should visit every chapter or every other chapter for various upgrades.
Besides that I think Horse Archery and Kabuki were the only ones that has unique Heat Actions to get.

If you're talking about missing Heat Actions then make sure you get the paper wall stab near the start of the game because you can only do it one other time later on and I can't remember if the burning Tsuruya has an opportunity, the Tatami Flip in I think it was chapter 9, when the Tsuruya goes on fire since it's impossible elsewhere, the burning coal stomp during the blacksmith substory because it's the only way to get it in the entire game, and the various boss-specific ones like I said.

Komaki and his rival can be done at any time but you need to do them before chapter 10 or 11 due to it locking you out of Gion permanently and I seem to recall you needing to visit there. Make sure you also under no circumstances finish Gyoutensei's inventions before doing his substory in chapter 8 or 11, can't remember which. If you finish every invention it permanently locks you out of Amon.

Sorry, I mean to say "If you finish every invention before doing his substory it permanently locks you out of Amon for that playthrough." Make sure you also don't get a 終 and that you get a 完 on every substory. This means that if you pick a single incorrect option you have to revert your save or you also miss out on Amon.

you need to gain the weapon mastery scroll or whatever it's called.
i think you get it from kamiya (the fat guy that sells weapons) or another substory.
basically, just keep doing substories, since this game and the original yakuza 2 have a lot of specific upgrades locked behind them.

Weapon Mastery is from beating Jo Amon and then buying it from Kamiyama.

there's other scrolls and stuff that let you use weapons, isn't there?
or am i getting those mixed up with the dvd's you can buy?

I think you're right that Weapon Mastery allows you to but I honestly can't remember what you need to wield it. I know Kali Sticks, Nunchuks, and one other require a specific skill, but I'm not 100% sure on Photon Blade specifically.

it's probably one of the dvd's that allows you to wield the photon blade he's talking about, since iirc they're basically kali sticks since there's two of them.
i think you can use the regular photon blade from the start, but it's been a while since i played.

I just finished kiwami 2. It was pretty fun. Though I feel it's kind of silly how ryuji died while kiryu was completely fine at the end.
