What would be the point? You can use it on your phone. When do you have your switch but not your phone? If you have both, why would you want to use discord on switch over your phone? Opening the app on switch would most likely close whatever else you were using, making it objectively worse than having it on a separate device. At least with youtube, the screen is bigger than a phone's and you can have the videos play on the TV, there's no reason to have discord of all things on your TV.

Not him, but I've literally never used it and am not familiar with it at all. All I know is it's some kind of "chat thing." Why would you need it if you don't play multiplayer games?

This is what I don't get for all the apps like Netflix, Youtube, internet browsers etc. If you have a phone why would you need any of these on Switch too?

It might be a double edged sword. On one hand, the trannies will be contained there. On the other hand, it will further solidify the reputation of the switch as the onions console.

To be honest, considering how hard Discord has been leaking user data across multiple different incidents with different causes, I would fully understand why Nintendo might not want to make that part of their system. Sounds like a security risk.

Basically a more glorified and organized irc client known to be a bane to Yea Forums generals. People go there when general activity begins to slow down to a certain point and abandon anonymity so they can roleplay and engage in degeneracy the likes of which you've probably never seen. Once a general discord channel is introduced and enough people participate in it, it's Yea Forums counterpart will inevitably die.

You know how Skype locked talking to multiple people at one time behind a paywall? Well Discord was designed to be a more organized group voice chat for playing games. According to everyone here it's also infested with degenerate furries, erpers, and trannies, but I don't know how you would know that unless you are one. I've been using the service to speak to the same 2 people and I've had no complaints.
