I just ordered this.
Good move?
I just ordered this
But not the ti version. (crappy picture)
what resolution and cpu are you going to use?
>falling for the 20 series jew
Full HD 720p on my 19" monitor
i made post lol
currently 1080p but my next purchase will be a new monitor so I can run 1440p.
My currently CPU is i7 3770K
the Dell S2716DG is 1440p144hz gsync, pretty cheap too. I'm very happy with it
Literally the worse series deal since like ever, the only comparable was the 700 series 6 years ago but atleast those werent that expensive,Nvidia deserved the huge drop in sales for being such huge fucking jews
>Dell S2716DG
thanks for the suggestion. I've added it to my list.
may you expand your answer.
lol you dont need that card for that
>not picking up a 1070ti or vega56 on clearance
Ruh roh
what was your old card?
question to all the enthusiasts out there, when do you think i'll have to upgrade from my i7 7700k/1070 sc combo?
gtx 670
>>Nice price for performance KEK
nice. it seems at 1440p i7 3770k should go well with an rtx 2080.
i'd reccomend something like this: amazon.com
actually geforce fx 5000 series is a good contender
you are right, there isn't much difference between performance of the gtx 1080 ti and rtx 2080, but then theres not too much difference in price really.
and i'd like to try out ray tracing.
excellent. i think i would like to have a monitor with g sync however.
nvidia now allows freesync monitors to be recognized as "g-sync compatible*. infact i'm using a "g-sync compatible" monitor right now.
Im tired of waiting for Nvidia to 'come back' I dont care about ray tracing(until its more mature).
This summer I will probably sell my gtx 1080 and buy an 80ti,because I can barely play 4k 60fps with my 1080 anymore
A 1080ti obviously ,they are cheapo used now
actually nvm, the monitor has issues with g-sync compatibility and only allows freesync up to 90hz
For what? 1080? 144? 4k?
Based. EVGA make the best video cards this gen.
I did consider a gtx 1080 ti but couldn't really find any decent ones new.
The rtx 2080 is a little bit more powerful in some cases and much more powerful than my current card. and because it's newer chances are they'll developer newer better drivers for it as time goes on.
I would have gone all out and bought a rtx 2080 ti but I would only do that if i could run the latest games above 80fps in 4k and it seems that nothing can do that just yet.
for me it's the founders edition
Yeah Im willing to spend big money , but I want to justify it I hate getting ripped, thats why AFTER 3 YEARS(I always buy a new card after 2 years at most) Im replacing my 1080 with a 1080ti until a new series comes up(I hope in less than a year)
Also thats why I dont care if its used , I will have it for 1 year at most
it is a good card
but not price performance wise
lucky i'm good at wasting a bit of money ;)
I imagine 99% of the time a used card will be great.
I last updated my card 7 years ago, and will probably do the same again, hence buying new.
suit yourself
i got my 1080 Ti back then when it was still at 700 eurobucks and just tested today the singleplayer campaign of battlefield V with raytracing
got solid 90fps @ average
You dont usually sell your cards I guess hahaha.
In reality it isnt that expensive buying a new graphic card every 2 years or so,since you get good money from selling the one you use because its still usable
Is 1660Ti a good purchase right now? I'm planning a 3600X + 1660Ti build.
Not really ,we are trapped in the Nvidia Clown timeline right now,I hope we get out of here next year.
i'll be selling my old card soon. just checked ebay and might still get £80 for a evga gtx 670 4gb. not bad.
buy me a sx os licence then
If one possesses the money, would a RTX Titan be worth it? I haven't seen much talk about the Titan in comparison to the 2080ti
>tfw still rocking a 7970
I'll upgrade eventually.
it's marginally better than the 2080ti and costs more than half the price
No. It's not like the previous generations where Titans would shitstomp the next highest card at 5x the price. The titan isn't focused on gaming performance so it's only marginally better and still costs way more.
Fuck it Im replacing my gtx 1080 with an used 1080ti this week, I cannot take this anymore, this thread gave me the little push I needed
gonna get the rtx 2080 myself
I hope that navi will do something to push GPU prices down a bit, I've been sitting on my 3.5gb memecard for ages.
>with an used 1080ti
one that was raped by miners?
No, one with little use,not a fried one
it seemed like a good idea to me, and still does after reading all these comments.
I used to be able to run new games on ultra at 60fps+ but now i'm running mortal kombat 11 on medium with maybe 50fps+
I feel you ,sometimes we are forced to buy on the worst case-scenario especially those which want to maintain good performance over time
>720p
>Full HD
Pick one AND ONLY ONE
I actually just got this monitor last week. Lucky enough to get the latest revision as well, great monitor if you care about high refresh rates and not so much about getting the absolute best image quality.
Always pick the 70 card.
>mfw 6850
it can unironically still play all modern titles on low...which is all anyone plays competitive game on anyway
