A while. There's about a hundred abnormalities. A fair amount aren't even gonna slow you down, but some will if you want all gear. The "boss" fights can be tricky if you don't cheese.
The last days are HARD if you don't min-max.

The shooter's EGO gun actually heals sanity on hit, so make sure that there are other people in the halls around him when your agent is firing it.

whats great about der fagshoot's EGO weapon is that it powers up the most agents that are in the room. If you have it and are going to suppress make sure to bring a lot of agents so the magic bullet is even stronger

best way is to find out - work her, unlock her managerial tips or...be a risky man and just send someone in to find out if the blazing granny needs something

the Note is useful for boosting success rate, you just have to be careful with it and return it before working too much.

everyone has the same number of continous types/tools (you get one per department, 1 every 4)
I don't know about the notes, but the iron maiden sadly is pretty useless outside of some niche (and sometimes gamebreaking) uses
just keep going, when I look back at what I did the first few days I cringe hard
I even lost a few "blessed" employees and didn't care that much about it

You lose a bit of energy. Often times it's not worth it since you can easily regain it by working once or twice more

Mostly you will just lose some boxes but there is at least one that can be dangerous if you don't stop it.

The ones that aren't too hard to keep suppressed, like Blue Star and Nothing There. White Night is worth keeping both for gift farming and for the bonus to his armor.

If you want some tips:
You have to pause. And just hope the pause doesn't kill anyone important. It's necessary.
It doesn't matter if everyone but one person dies. You just need to win that day at any cost.
Doing all the meltdowns the Arbiter spawns immediately and having enough damage to immediately phase her while she's vulnerable and stunned is how you win.
If you are fast you don't need to pause in phase one and can just select the meltdowns quickly since nothing will be escaped in save one when she spawns and she will take a while to run to the end of the corridor and closer to the elevator where you want to fight her anyway.
You need a lot of damage to kill her fast enough that you don't need to do two spins of meltdowns per phase. If you can't kill her from one period of vulnerability you may need to restart and get more ALEPH gear.
You can potentially finish her using the bunnies for the last half of a health bar so long as you can get at least one employee to survive.
Some abnormalities are really, really annoying to try to do this day with. Mountain of Smilie Boys, Little Prince, Silent Orchestra, Blue Star, anything that escapes with a lot of deaths and which will immediately just wipe all your dudes is no good. If you restart then only take abnormalities which can potentially be ignored for long enough to kill an Arbiter.

you use the not-SCPs to generate power to meet each day's quota, and most days you get one or more additional not-SCPs that you'll have to deal with
they usually stay contained as long as you don't do badly when working them, but you can't just spam the small-energy low-threat ones because as the day goes on you get "meltdowns" which force you to do work on random Abnormalities, so it pays to quickly figure out what each one likes and dislikes.
from there, you can use the excess energy to produce weapons and armor that let you fight escaped Abnormalities or various creatures that invade your base during the day
also the music is great and the plot is interesting, and although dialogue suffers as a result of the devs getting scammed out of their translation money, it's not awful.

I typically put my best and a middling employee in the new departments, send the middling to test out a new anomaly with my best waiting in the hallway just in case. It's worked every time except for the red shoes, i sent one of the only two agents with less than 3 prudence to test it out, I only had one agent with 2 prudence for a long while after that

There is nothing lost to a restart beyond your current employees and the time you will play the game getting back to where you were in days. You keep everything EVERYTHING else, get to re-pick anomalies you now know are good/avoid ones you can't handle yet, and generally just play a better round than the last one.

So honestly? Restarting is a personal choice, do you want to have an easier time? Restart? want to plough on? Unless you hit three trumpets there's nothing stopping you, and you could ALWAYS restart a day later, with new knowledge you didn't have before.

Oh and a load of dropped e.g.o weapons from your dead team if you fucked up, but really as restarts go on you start piling up so even HEs and WAWs collect up into the triple digits, making requesting new E.G.O trivial.
