Kondo: It has got to be Rean. This whole time these five years... even longer than Estelle!... I've been with Rean since he entered school until the end of Sen 4. There's not really any specific scene/line from him, but I've just become deeply attached to him during this whole time. While I've portrayed him for longer than others, I feel like he's also been the most human character. Estelle was a very pure character... always courageous, brilliant throughout her time. In comparison, Rean has a lot of weak and rough elements to him. He's relatable like how you view your family, you don't always just see the good parts... you see each other's weak and timid sides too. So in that sense I'd say I'm even more attached to Rean than either Estelle or Lloyd. I think Rean is the most deeply (and longest) protrayed character in Kiseki series. By the way, every time I always feel sorry for Rean. Like "Yamero, yametekureee" and all that (laughs).

I liked SC a lot more than 3rd.
3rd was great in that it had so many characters and more gameplay elements (such as higher elements resists, more turn effects etc.). But I found the progression of 3rd really tedious.
I get that they went for a dungeon crawler approach, but compared to this grand adventure that FC+SC offered, revisiting old palette swapped or mirrored dungeons and floating corridors in space wasn't engaging to me.
Kevin's whole story was neat, but spread really thin over the whole game, and while I liked the flashbacks the doors offered, I would have loved to experience them in a more ''organic'' way. Gehenna was pretty kino tho.

I hope no one thinks that. They're good, but such reflections on the faltering points of Sky will maybe teach them to cope when character arcs take interesting turns that they may not like.

Sure they're good, but they're not great, simply because they aren't better designed than later games in the same series. The combat is clunkier and more restrictive with one or two gimmicks, the characters are still every bit the one-note cliches, the plot is the same bloodless political melodrama except somehow with even less blood despite involving more assassins, and the filler content has even less justification for dragging on as long as it does. The one thing they really have going for them is that central pairing that wards off the stupider harem elements infecting later games, but Joshua and Estelle aren't exactly amazing characters, and their romance is still kiddie anime fare.

Sky is your basic-ass shoujoshit and "MMO quest guild" shit: it literally is kiddie anime fare, no doubt. At least Crossbell mixed things up a little with the police perspective, even though if it did introduce the haremshit.

The police thing was a legitimately good angle. It works really well for their preferred gameplay systems. The other games have to come up with "we're sort of like cops but not" to explain why everyone is running around doing random shit for strangers who submit actual formal requests for assistance.

The series needs to stop being afraid of death already. I recently played Tales of the Abyss, and for a colorful anime game it can handle a a shitton of deaths without coming across as edgy.

Basically none. Falcom stopped making PC games because the market for them completely died in Japan, Falcom only develops/publishes games for their domestic market. Any western release is handled by other companies and PC ports of their games have been handled by 3rd parties for a good decade now. Their last PC game (as in developed and released first for PC by Falcom themselves) was Trails the 3rd and Zwei 2.

That all being said Falcom has stated that do want to get as many of their games on PC as possible with the niche following they have gotten in the west. They are just a small company and do not have the resources to dedicate to it so they have rely on other companies to port.
