wouldn't the roles of protagonist and antagonist change based off the perception of whoever's story it is?
overlord 2
Villain to the players perspective. Such as killing innocents and people who we as humans would consider morally rigteous.
He said villain, not antagonist.
A villain can be a protagonist.
Why did Badhouse fuck up S2 and S3 so badly?
It's supposed to be promotional material but all it did was make me even less interested in Overlord
Soul Nomad and the world eaters. Doesn't get more "bad guy" than ruining everyones life and destroying the world
>ywn mindbreak Clementine
Why live
I guess Fable?
I mean there are certain "good" things you kinda have to do but you can also just murder the shit out of most towns and kill a couple main characters throughout the story and you can choose to kill your sister at the end and just take the sword instead so that's kind of a villain thing to do.
New Vegas. Everyone has at least one faction they consider evil.
Wizardry 4
Any RTS where you can conquer cities and loot and pillage and brutalize the conquered?
Evil Genius
Dungeon Keeper
KeeperRL (maybe, I haven’t played it yet)
from wikipedia:
Soul Nomad is well known for its dark alternate mode, the demon path, which is accessed by choosing the "evil" dialogue options at the start of the game. In this route, Revya decides to use Gig's great power to essentially destroy the world, and strikes down both Layna and Danette at the game's outset. With Gig's eager assistance, the player controls Revya in his/her bloody rampage across the continent, as they become the tyrannical "Devourlord" and commit atrocity after atrocity against the people of Raide. Like the normal mode, the demon path has a number of different dialogue options and endings, as well as unique characters Revya can dominate (mostly villains) that are unplayable in the normal game.
S2 and 3 were great wat u talkin bout
Pathfinder: Kingmaker.
The bad guys are actually chaotic instead of evil this time around, so being an asshole to them is extra satisfying.
>Ainz.jpg

Dungeons 3
>S2 and 3 were great wat u talkin bout
I love Chara!!!!!!!!
>he thinks worldbuilding is filler
only thing I didn't liked was some of the goblin shots and the Shub Niggurath creatures, those CGs were horrible, everything else was pure kino from begining to end.
Season 4 when
I want almost all of the maids to dom me.
Me too user
Hopefully never. I need Isekai to die.
Tyranny is a pretty good take on this, you're an enforcer of the Overlord's supreme will.
There is a good ending where you side with the oppressed and the alike, but the main meat of the game is all about being evil and keeping the Overlord's underlings in check.
>Tyranny is a pretty good take on this
It's a terrible example. You don't even get to be evil, you just have to run errands for factions. And the game forces you into rebelling against your evil overlord anyway.
Every Fallout game
There's plenty of opportunity to be evil, agreed that it sucks getting railroaded into rebelling though. In my playthroughs it was more or less replacing one evil with another.
>dom me
>Entoma, and Solution would eat you
>Narberal would not waste her time and just kill you
>Lupusregina may but would torture you and kill you
>CZ has no emotion
Yuri may be the only one to do it
Rance?
Rance is an antihero
>anime
I just want a new novel.
Yah if you want to play a potato game with shit story and factions.
That game felt 10 years old when it released. Imagine how poorly it has aged.
oof
hot
I don't know, Kingmaker felt pretty weaksauce for the most part and many evil actions end up being "I just met you for the first time so I'm going to kill you for lulz and also shoot myself in the foot in the process" type of deals, like there's several times where being evil plain out just derives you of party members and advisors, even certain evil advisors are hidden behind fucking good-aligned choices in some cases as if playing evil characters was an afterthought. I don't know if it gets better later on, as I dropped my game when I realized I missed all non-good councilor characters and there's no way I'm tolerating that moralfag cuckboi priest in my realm. Why wouldn't they just let Vordekai act as a Councilor in addition to Magister, like what the fuck, you get him in the literally same exact quest where you lose Tristian.
Regardless, coming straight to Kingmaker after MotB and One of Many felt like a straight downgrade when coming to acting like a tremendous dickwad. Not to mention Kingmaker's campaign in general feels more like a regular high fantasy romp.
XBOX
Dungeon Keeper
How about being a dick in Dragon Age? Or dark side in Kotor games?
I'm a traditionalist catholic
NWN2 Mask of the Betrayer has the best villain storyline I've ever played
Not really evil, just "bit of a cunt"
Badman series.
What does this even mean?
I would say Alex Mercer but it isn't until the second game that he becomes a full-blown villain who tries to take over the world, and you can't play as him in the second one. Only the first one. He's more of an anti-hero in the first one. Also the body of Alex Mercer was already dead before he woke up in the morgue, meaning that the virus is the one who controls the body and the virus is the thing you play as. It's only after the first game that the virus realizes that the humans are evil, and that maybe it was a good idea to spread the infection after all. It's very entertaining to see him go down a path of insanity.
>almost
which one do you not want? Entoma and Solution?
>New novel
are you not reading the new novel that is out right now?
Free Cities.
Also the game is PROTOTYPE.
You mean the remake of the twitter side story? Eh, I'll get around to it later.
It wasn't ever good.
Entoma, can't stand bugs, less if they want to enter my body.
This is all assuming they don't want to kill me anyway because being melt alive by Solution isn't that much of a better way to go either
Have you tried the games named Overlord?
MotB blows a fucking lot of cRPGs out, it's amazing. Evil options in Pathfinder: Kingmaker are lackluster because they're mostly for the evulz, but there are some lawful evil or neutral evil choices that can work out. It still is a weaker choice though, and the game allows for some heavy purging if you're good and lawful instead.
I completely forgot that in MotB after the whole drama with the spirit eater curse you could tell everyone to go fuck themselves and make a amulet empowered by the soul of every one of your companions, skullfuck myrkul and tell everyone to fuck off by devouring the spirit eater and assuming the curse as yourself, that shit has yet to be topped, isn't it?
Yeah, it's fantastic since you actually get something out of the deal and even a wholly unique companion that can switch classes on the fly. Vanilla campaign forced you into a goody two-shoes role even if you were chaotic evil, so I think the game also benefited from making MotB a more personal story where roleplaying in either direction makes sense. I'm also a sucker for "true endings" so I was glad that both the best good ending and evilest evil ending had proper thought put into them with each requiring specific actions rather than just an alignment check. My only beef with MotB would be that the system incentivizes you to only go all out fully in either direction: suppressing is a lot easier and makes the timer system nearly completely irrelevant and nets you few risk free abilities, whereas devouring gets you hungry all the time but you can spam it so much that it stops mattering, plus you get unique souls used for crafting that way. I'd wager a middling approach would fuck you over with craving maluses without manageable ways to rein it in.
Either way, a really satisfying campaign for evil PCs that doesn't devolve into "petty assholery while still saving the world" or something like that.
>people wanted madhouse to do OPM S2
>after the shitshow that was Overlord S2 ans especially S3
>people didn't know that OPM S1 was mostly freelancers
>that one part where the group of 4 try to trick Ainz
>Ainz believes he found a friend of his after all this time
>the lie fails
>his rage and everything after
one of my favorite parts
also check out Evil Genius op
Honestly the only thing that REALLY pissed me off was the CGI that was so bad the fucking Deltora Quest anime looked better.
>slaughters hundreds if not thousands of innocent people, stealing their memories and wearing their skin like clothing
>antihero
I just didn't wanted the mage girl to die...
An extremely bad feel bro. Gimmie psycho yandere fantasy gf
At least you wont have to see the fate of her siblings. They go into detail about that in the books and it's not good. Its really not good.
Elaborate, just because I'm a fucking retard masochist.
i'm suprised there hasn't been a MMO yet that lets you play as the evil faction that it setting out to conquer the world.
monter races to play as instead of the typical human, elf, dwarf shit.
lamia or centaur race for example
Been a while since I read it but I think their father sells them into slavery and they spend the rest of their short miserable lives wondering why their sister never came back to save them
parents sell them into slavery. they get raped to death
>villain
I watched the first 2 seasons and dropped it out of boredom.
Not a single evil thing happened, all he did was being a cool adventurer self insert power fantasy garbage, i truly don-t understand the appeal of that shitshow.
Clementine kind of characters stopped being cool in 1984 when it was done for the 100000th time, woah so crazy :D:D
And the CGI is laughable. Way below the average
Damn that's fucked up, magegirl just wanted to retire and take their siblings to safety... But then again that's what you get for messing with Ainz Ooal Fucking Gown.
In the Web Novel, Ureirika and her sister, Kuuderika were sold into slavery after Arche vanished. She and her sister were given to Ainz Ooal Gown as sacrifices by a cult of nobles that worshiped him. Ainz later returned them to Arche, allowing them to live peacefully on the 6th Floor.
In the Light Novel, however, the author mentioned on his website that the two twins were sold into slavery and died of overwork.
>literally takes humans to his Tomb so they can be eaten by slime maid
>kidnaps citizens to run experiments on them
>submits and slaves humans by making cockroaches eat them up from the inside out and then healing them back to health
>completely massacres multiple parties that dare to enter his Tomb
>nukes 70.000 people with a spell and turns them into giant lovecraftian abominations
>nothing evil
haven't read the LN or WN, which one is supposedly the original? Or is the author rewriting it as a LN after making the WN and thus retconning stuff?
In the Web Novel, she became Shalltear's sex toy and she also teaches Ainz how to dance. She was also given the privilege to later live as a civilian in a log cabin on the 6th Floor with her sisters.
In the Light Novel, her dead body was cut into different pieces: Entoma took Arche's voice to replace her old voice that was lost in the battle against Evileye, Demiurge takes her skin, several undead take her arms and legs, her head is used as decoration for a Silk Hat Demon and the leftovers became food.
Maruyama mentioned on his website that, in the Light Novel, her sisters were sold into slavery and eventually died from overwork.
wn is the Original
but the author was upset that fan votes for arche's fate had her live
so when it became a light novel, he changed it to her getting brutaly killed
>weaksauce
What horrible dimension do I find myself where people use this term
Entoma a cute.
Is this a VN exclusive shit? I saw nothing of that in 24 episodes
Damn, well at least best girl Narberal is still alive and kicking
city of heroes/villains
He also enslaves an entire race of lizard men because he wants to experiment on ruling over people after murdering hundreds of them in cold blood
No, you're just too much of a retard to take the clues, this is a series that don't spell shit for you
So if I finished watching the anime last week. Where should I go after that? The VN, the WN, or both?
>VN
LN, chapter 1
Soul nomad
Have to beat the game once, but man is that evil badguy route worth it.
Its great seeing a complete opposite of a game.
woah, tough shit, he started with the idea of a genocide and ended up having them as "servants"
Half assed bullshit
>this is a series that don't spell shit for you
Never thought i'd see someone claim subtelty in a self insert power fantasy
>he needs to kill everything or its no fun!
ow the edge!
Keep been a retard, bro
>he started with the idea of a genocide
He didn't though, good job at proving how much of a brainlet you are.
>everything else was pure kino
He wanted slaves, he got them.
>isekai
I kind of want whoever jumpstarted this shit genre to die in a lake of boiling napalm
>some of the goblin shots
I talked about that scene in that very same post you imbecile.
Play home.
4 Dummies:
Protagonist - The person that we follow throughout his story. The Main Character.
Antagonist - The person who opposes the Protagonist. You either experience the Antagonists story together with the Protagonist or indirectly learn about him.
Hero - A person, who in the views of the majority of the viewers (and most of the time also characters in the story), acts morally good and save someone or something which is also morally good.
Villain - A person, who in the views of the majority of the viewers (and most of the time also characters in the story), acts morally bad and follows his own goals which severely disadvantage or even hurt other people.
Most of the time in stories:
Protagonist = Hero
Antagonist = Villain
BUT it doesnt always have to be like this.
Theres also some Antihero, Redeemed Villain and Protag-Antag-Switch sometimes
>ow the edge!
>In a show that has edge as the premise
Overlord is a dark comedy, sorry that you're too fucking dumb to notice
>edge as the premise
Except that's not the premise at all, brainlet.
It wasn't just the CG that was shit. They removed a bunch of important details like the huge variety of monsters in the throne room of Ainz when he got human visitors.
>edge is the premise
I think you mean Goblin Slayer
But the elves were the bad guys all along
Not that user, but I really fucking dislike the new novel. More specifically, the idea of doing a spin-off thing now. What I mean is that, had I not liked the thing, it would be a bummer because I'd have to keep waiting for the continuation of the main story. And if I like it a lot, there's no guarantee that it'll have a sequel and/or a satisfactory ending. It blows.
Lmao no, there is nothing dark and there is no comedy.
All they aired was a blank slate autist that plays the bad boy while an army of generic hoes lusts for his dick because he's so cool and powerful, OC do not steal
>aired
The fact that you think your shitty opinion mean anything is hilarious
>A show about a level gorillion lich causing trouble on some low-level fantasy world! This is going to be so cool!
>Spends 90% of the time in the outside world disguised as a fighter
FOR WHAT FUCKING PURPOSE.
At least his introduction to the lizardmen was cool.
Overlord is kino
You can complete the game without killing any civilians.
Reminder, Bonefags
Aqua is insanely powerful (she's a goddess and the absolute counter to undead), what are you even trying to say?
Did they try pinching her cheeks
>FOR WHAT FUCKING PURPOSE.
For the self insert
Isn't that cool? You can imagine you're secretly powerful and no one can bully you
But I meant why give him swords. Don't we have enough main characters with swords
I remember this game solely because of the legal arm flexing DC did to make them change the title
>imagine seething this hard over seeing people enjoy things you don't
Wario Land
Literally everything good Wario does he does on accident
M8 the main reason he is smurfing the world as his Knight-Alter Ego, is because he wants to lure the fucker out who also has OP Admin-Tier Items
imagine defending a shitty cartoon on the internet
Ainz isn't a villain.
>Why did you come here tonight?
>...
>Have a seat.
Unlike you, I'm on a thread of a [thing I like] and therefore I'm having actual discussion with likeminded people, you on the other hand are wasting your time screaming that you don't like a chinese cartoon as if you're going to convince anyone to stop liking it.
Just leave the thread and stop embarrassing yourself.
he's not even that strong
>Constantly keeps his cunning, evil king persona up in front of his minions
>Blackmails and threatens entire nations
>Willing to destroy innocent people if he benefits from it
>His minions do most of the brutal dirty work but he is fine with that and even plans for it to happen
>For example, its implied that Shalltear sextoyed a 14 year old mage girl to death
He is the Protagonist and Villain of that world, but there is ANOTHER villain who is opposing him
none of that is his fault, they keep coming to him
Dude, he lured a bunch of explorers/adventurers to his base, claiming it was ancient ruins. When they then entered he revealed himself and called them a bunch of thieves who are robbing his house and need to be punished.
Needless to say, the party in 's image got fucked by Mister Boner himself
>e-entrapment!
eat shit thief
didnt he give one of the girls over to the disgusting roach king he has?
They were filthy thieves, keep crying, moralfag
>disgusting
okay incel
Cultist Simulator
You murder people, sacrifice them, steal their occult shit, abduct them.
Is that game good, user? All I see on it is a bunch of cards you somehow link together, but what can you do in it?
FFTA
Gameplay is shit, story is decent
It's a specific game, it's fun while you're learning the systems and getting into the world.
It's a drag and formalistic when you're familiar with it.
It's like the darkest dungeon with less rng and less game depth, but with more lore.
A LOT was glossed over/ignored
while it doesnt have a story or anything, Dominions 5 is the closest game to Overlord you can find.
TBS, you create a demigod that wants to become a god and you manage its empire.
You can create an elder lich, and there are countless high level spells that affect the whole world.
At least it gave us Konosuba.
They added a loyalty ending but it sucks. The big boss basically says
>Fuck this guy is loyal but I wanna kill him
>But if I kill a guy this loyal it looks bad
End
post vidya character that can defeat ainz
I had to.
youtube.com
Powerman
Don't have a picture of him
Metal Gear Solid 2
Bowser's Inside Story
If you want to play as a villain who is killing innocents and doing bad things for no reason other than "me bad guy" then the game's plot is going to be inherently shitty.
mount and blade warband
I guess tropico too?
Total war.
I actually do read the LNs. What's this one about?
>plot
Im looking for a game like an rts/civ type game where I am basically Sauron trying to enslave the world
