So what's next for A Hat in Time, Yea Forums? The developers have delivered every one of their kickstarter goals and they've all expressed interest in working on different projects. They are improving in skill. You can see it in the DLC. Each better crafted than the last. So I hope they keep the team together, and work on something similar. If not a sequel, then just something akin to what they've made now.

I like their maze-like level designs. It would be interesting to see a more adventure style game from them. If they can continue to produce big complex levels.

No, the chapter is worth the price. it's really fun to wander the ship. If you're the type of player who only cares about beating the next challenge, then I can see what you mean. But if you actually soak and savor the world, then it's definitely worth getting.

Hopefully a sequel or a spiritual successor. We need more 3D platforming games, cause they were the only devs to make a good one in a lot time (outside of nintendo).
I don't want them to keep updating HiT for a lot longer, other than adding mods to online and having better sync they shuold be done with it. UE3 is outdated as fuck, and they should move on to a newer engine. But hopefully their next game is just as cute, funny, comfy and features another online mode

something similiar happened to me when I was first playing the game a few weeks ago, basically at some point inside the spaceship the music got all distorted and creepy
I thought it was a bug but inside the game files there's actually a music file named spaceship_uncanny_loop so that's obviously been put there on purpose
anyone know what causes it to trigger or if there's any more side effects I didn't notice?
I haven't been able to replicate it and trying to google it just takes me to that other easter egg

Is there any way to know which area a holographic sticker spawned in? Mine just says one has appeared. Do I have to find all the regular relics or something? Hat Kid honestly have real fucking potential as a mascot for them. Her OG design is minimalist and elegant, and her name is easily memorable. 2 is my least favorite. I don’t like the linearity of it but I can see why some people like it.

3 is super fun and really fun to explore just like 1.

4 is fun too but not as good as 1 and 3.

I could see the hourglass being something, but I personally feel that subcon fell to the flowers that we deal with in the alps. There are a lot of similarities.
If true, then what really gives me a loreboner is the coincidence of Vanessa seeing a florist with the prince, along with the fact that there are seemingly 3 major powers in subcon, judging by the towers.
The towers are technically another dropped plot point, and subcon was originally going to be a 3 way war between vanessa, snatcher and the prince, who originally wasn't snatcher but instead was "moon jumper". However, moonjumper was completely removed barring a few visual references but the towers are all still clearly visible, so who's in the flaming tower?

If you want tips on fighting Snatcher, I find staying as far away from the middle the best don't let bumping into the wall discourage you. Always going left worked for me and you can pretty much jump right into the lasers the second after they hit the ground, they rarely hit the same spot twice so chasing them can be a good strat if you can't keep a distance

The only one that’s somewhat fun to explore is the one murder express. The other levels are a linear stealth section and mini games.

chapter 2 has my favorite tracks in the game, but besides the charm of some missions none of the levels are really that good besides train rush

chapter 3 is probably pretty good, but I can't remember much of it and the last mission I played was mail delivery which is just a throwaway level

4 is probably the best designed, but there is no charm to it like the others and the level being so big and linear can make it tedious on repeat playthroughs

It's strange to the point where I suspect, at one point, that there were going to be more levels on the train, and the Conductor was going to be the only path in the chapter. DJ Grooves' levels seem to have a lot less... Substance to them, especially in comparison to Murder On The Owl Express.

It was the called “the train wreck of science” or something and was supposed to be the 3rd world, with subcon being the 2nd.

From what I saw it was this desert level. You drove around in some sort of vehicle and you had to keep track of your thirst I believe. I didn’t follow the game too closely during development, I just kind of looked up all of this stuff after I beat the game so I’m sorry if it turns out anything I said was incorrect.
While I’m mentioning cut content though, you should look into all the scrapped plot elements and characters. It makes to wonder what the original game was even supposed to be like.

My game version run's fine but when enemies die I get a huge lag spike which impedes gameplay in alpine skylines. did they fix this yet I emailed the devs to fix but idk if they actually followed up on it.

There's a mod that turns off the particle effects when enemies die which is what lags it, unfortunately you have to wait a week for mods to be turned on again.
