I remember being so uptight as a kid I used to hate how this intro had Buu saga characters like Goten/Kid Trunks co-existing with bald Krillin and Future Trunks even though it's a fighting game and I shouldn't have been looking into it that hard
That said it's kinda funny how that's sort of moot now since Super brought back Future Trunks and reverted Krillin's design anyway

Well to be fair the Krillin thing happened with Resurrection F but it still applies, felt the same way about them bringing back Frieza and Cell back for the story mode only to now see DBS brought back Frieza anyway and keep hinting he might get another arc on top of that.

Not quality of the visuals just what is actually shown and how it is choreographed with the music. There's a lot more happening in the Budokai 2 opening then there is in 3.

FighterZ was such a disappointment in this regard. All they had to do was copy and paste Budokai 2 story mode and change it to suit the story.

All fucking fighterZ needed was a Kageyama opening. Why? You stupid fucks messed up!!!!

Third was completely terrible. They cut out all the physical specials (blue capsule moves), tied ultimate moves into an easily-blockable opening strike that you had to pull off or the move would get canceled, and cut the story mode to ribbons.
