Last patch you could host your own server and put a password on it. Set it to horde mode and change some lines in the server files so there are more spawns and you get more shekels for killing more things. There is also a console command to kill all the AI on the map. You would get tons of gold in a short amount of time. They stealth patched it though so im not sure if there is a new exploit

Favorite overall weapon, or at least the one I do best with, is probably greatsword.

Most fun loadout I've played is Battle Cleric though. Two medical bags and a mace. I don't feel like I have to tryhard and can just relax and have fun helping my team.

Was worried the handaxe was OP after I did amazing with it yesterday but I had a more even handed experience today. Still was ace when I did basically a 5v1 just weaving through the crowd like fucking jackie chan.

I tried the small warhammer and it felt like dogshit by comparison. I think it can do more damage to unarmored guys with the pirecing but what's the point when the hand axe does it better. The mace seems better.

The devs MUST have some kind of bias towards swords. The executioner sword has the weirdest fucking swings in the game that can be dragged like mad and on top of that it seems to deal a shit ton of head damage even through helmets. The zwei has stab range that manages to surprise me every time. I swear I've been out of fucking spear range and gotten stabbed by the damn thing. And that's not even going into the one handers that seem to have swing arcs much, MUCH wider than most two handed weapons (or you can just drag them so efficiently that it seems that way).

blacksmith hammer is the absolute best for an engine when it comes to repairing or building shit since it does like +13 to them but that's about it, the combat efficiency is garbage, yeah.

I see it commonly enough, but a lot of people will either just go full 2h with any of the hueg 2h swords, and the Messer fits the same niche and is slightly longer and hits harder in slashes. It's considerably slower and it has weak ass thrusts, though.

Using a 1060 6gig and an i5 5500 at 1080p I have no problems other than beginning of rounds every 10 games or so having some stutter but it very quickly fixes up. Pretty sure everything is maxed except for motion blur which I toned down a lot. Don't know exactly what FPS I'm getting since I don't have a counter or anything up.

Why are they trying to uphold some retarded balance between weapons? If you parry a maul with a fucking dagger, you should get instantly disarmed. And axes should disarm shields in one or two hits. The devs are so afraid of counterplay that the game is a samey, grey mass all around.

I run the game on both my desktop and laptop. My laptop is a i5, 1050, 8gb ram. I get mostly 60fps with a few drops with minimal settings. But the real bitch are these random stutters that happen and fuck me up. Probably due to low ram. Or because the game is CPU heavy.
Run the game perfectly in my desktop. i7, 1080, 16gb RAM.

timing for stab chamber is the most forgiving, it's almost the entire duration of the stab animation
most swings, if it's already halfway through, it's too late to try chambering, so you have to really be paying attention

There is a specific radius you have to match, only a few tens of degrees. When players start dragging those slightly off low horizontal swings vertically, it can be hard to tell exactly what angle that swing is coming from.

Also people drag and turn in swings near nonstop so it's probably even harder to chamber

Theres also the fact that stabs have alot of reach so its easy to counter it with your own stab. You need to be a bit closer for swings to connect the chamber hit.

You should be able to take out the legs of a horse to make it fall, or at the very least trip it with the billhook, though I'm sure it would do more than just trip the horse, realistically.

the problem is traspassing people like a fucking ghost, imo, if a person is in front of the fucking horse, it should just kick that person aside strongly, but the horse should slow down considerably

I managed to kill someone by physically hitting them with the firebomb and the 5 damage it deals on contact so that's neat.
Also for anyone that uses bear traps and likes to play Skirmish on Grad left of the Blue spawn there is a small pile of rubble on the path right outside the door. You can place a trap on the edge of this rubble and it will be nearly invisible.

The perk that lets you continue fighting for 5 seconds after you've been mortally struck is scary useful in Skirmish

I'm not sure of another way to yank them off, but you can also use a toolbox to drop a wall in front of them as they charge you and then just hit them upside the head with whatever weapon you have.

What's the best way to handle multiple opponents? So far I've found that not allowing one to get behind you (that's obvious and sometimes impossible), trying to turn it into a 1v1 as fast as possible, and using one guy's attacks to riposte another guy to be the best tactic to use.

It's pretty good yeah. The game modes aren't great (although it makes complete sense that those three modes - 64/48 players conquest, battle royale and ut2k4 invasion with a money mechanic - are the ones they decided to focus on before release) and some the maps aren't great, but the combat mechanics are a lot of fun.

Depends what you're after. All the armor pieces and such are unlocked by 30, but all the colors and tints will take much longer. For perspective, I've got about 60 hours and am at level 29.

You can make things that look really good without much investment though.

No. It's okay where it is, even if you've seen one too many dudes who will feint feint feint feint feint feint swing with an Eveningstar.
But if you're going to limit feinting in any way, DON'T make it any sort of lockout cooldown thing which would either require a new HUD element or audio cute which would still be difficult to know when it was ready again.

Perhaps make each successive feint within a certain window consume more stamina than the last. Something like starting at its current 10 and going up by 5 with each feint. This "feint fatigue" buildup resetting if you land a hit or your stamina begins to recover.

You gotta use them to get 60+ kills. For example as a spearfag, when I know a guy is pretty good at parrying my stabs, I'll sprint at him stabbing, cancel, then stab again and it works 95% of the time. It essentially cuts my fight with him in half so I can quickly move on to the next kill rather than waste 10 seconds finishing him off.

A morph can be like a feint in and of itself, baiting both a parry and circumvent a chamber.
Depending on the enemy's and your weapon's attack speeds, morphing a stab > swing or swing > stab can beat out your opponent if he tries to chamber the first one. As long as your weapon's windup is faster than his, your morphed second attack should come out first. Basically save that part for the smaller weapons, only use it like a faster feint with bigger ones.

More importantly in regards to chambering, those spear/rapierfags who love to endlessly stab and rechamber your chamber will lose to you if you chamber his stab with your stab and immediately morph into a kick (assuming he's moving in during his stab and not backing up because kick sucks ass).

I got pics if you want proofs. It wouldn't be unreasonable to think us sweaty nerds are better than your average gaymer.

Sure you're not talking about a feint? I use feints all the time. Morph is where you change attack patterns midswing. Like from a poke to a horizontal swing.
God I hate spears (I always pick them up on my 3/3/3 bloodlust guy). They're so fucking cheesy and very aggravating to fight against if they know what they are doing.

Replace Q with right click since you can bind feint AND parry to the same button. You literally don't even have to use your keyboard
