Why would some snow nigger civil war matter to sand niggers?

The peace treaty is probably going to be canon.

Imperials defeat the stormcloaks and the Skyrim protagonist takes the throne by right of dragonborn.

>tamriel was conquered by the thalmor
>skyrim and cyrodil fought together and lost
>history is vague on whether they were part of the same empire or just allies
basically they'll make it so the civil war didn't matter, they were going to lose no matter what

Man people seriously think there's any claim to the throne just because "he Dragonborn like septims"?

the Thalmor are a threat to everyone in Tamriel dummy

It's basically confirmed deep in the lore of the game that the empire eventually wins. If the Stormcloaks capture Solitude, Ulfric tells you that the war isn't really over because there are still pockets of imperial legion over skyrim that won't go away. Tullius has only been fighting for a short time and almost won the war at the beginning but got cucked by Alduin. He only has a small fraction of the army he was meant to have, because most of it were travelling to Skyrim from Cyrodiil but got cut off by an avalanche blocking the main paths between the provinces. If the Empire wins, sure there are still pockets of resistance out in the hills but almost every NPC you talk to is just happy the war is over and has no interest in restarting it. the sensible conclusion is that the avalanche clears soon after you stop playing the game and the bigger part of the imperial legion occupies all of skyrim and wipes out the stormcloaks for good.

Fuckhuge catastrophe/happening that wipes everything, so they don't have to account for anything you did, same as the Red Year and the Great War.

For speculation, I'm expecting a mention of survivors fucking off in all directions, but mainly to Solstheim where they either have some multikulti bullshit going on with the dunmer, or more likely a hamfisted take on holding on to old nationalistic grudges as they fight over the island, with some 'poor natives' shite thrown in with reference to the Skaal.

>there are still pockets of the Imperial Legion over Skyrim
Tulius literally tells you the same thing, just switch Imperial Legion with Stormcloaks
>almost won the war at the beginning
Irrelevant, everyone gets lucky eventually. Just like the Thalmor completely outwitted the Empire because Imperial intelligence circles were fucking stupid. Not to mention it's also irrelevant because if Alduin had not interfered there would be no Empire or Dominion anyway.

There is also no size of the reinforcements, they could be wiped out by the united Stormcloaks.

this, the official line will be that only the main story was done and no side quest content will be done canonically

>Ulfric tells you that the war isn't really over because there are still pockets of imperial legion over skyrim that won't go away.
Mostly just a result of laziness, don't read much into that.

They tear each other apart and the Argonians just steamroll the aftermath like they did in Morrowind.

The Empire collapses between TESV and TESVI and thus the outcome of the Civil War is irrelevant.

>Just like the Thalmor completely outwitted the Empire because Imperial intelligence circles were fucking stupid
nope
Legends says the Thalmor used a Daedric artifact to be able to spy on anybody they wished.

>Fuckhuge catastrophe/happening that wipes everything
what are you talking about? the last 2 games had very linear storylines, nothing like the civil war in skyrim. those events you mentioned don't exactly reset things
maybe, I'm just trying to make the case that the war isn't over and the imperials are not getting ready to give up their hold on skyrim. the soldiers holding out are probably just waiting for reinforcements.
>There is also no size of the reinforcements
I think Tullius says something about how lucky Ulfric is to only fight such a small portion of the imperial legion which I've taken to mean the reinforcement from Cyrodiil. Obviously he can't have been suggesting the empire would withdraw all the troops at their borders
>united Stormcloaks
not many NPCs even seem to support them in game except for those in Windhelm and a few elsewhere

Argonian Empire here we come

This. Lizards shall inherit the land of tamriel.

From far away the map looks like E.T gettin’ blown

Unrelated, but I wish TES6 would integrate spellcrafting with alchemy. I'm thinking vancian magic, as in rather than having a magicka bar, you must prepare spells ahead of time by using certain ingredients or performing certain rituals. Make it so you can craft your own unique spells when you do this by combining different ingredients, as well as the spells you've learned. You could still have a number of basic level spells that work off a magicka bar that can be cast any number of times, but higher level spells should take some thought and preparation.

ignore it, it's a video game stupid, who cares about lore lol

wasn't whiterun neutral?

yes but in both questlines they join the imperials

I'm assuming the Empire winning is canon for the simple reason that it sets up a good strong Empire vs strong Thalmor mashup.

In theory, we're talking about a massive conflict. In practice, it'll be a 5v5 wave based siege type thing we got in Skyrim, especially if Bethesda continues using the engine they should've taken out back and shot 3 games ago.

Seriously, if they haven't upgraded for TES6 get ready for a shit game. It is that bad at this point, even with the billion mods it'll be supported by 1-2 years in release, I don't see them getting away with this anymore after Fallout 76.

This makes me excited and worried at the same time. Bethesda has had years with the creation engine and they still don't know shit about it, or at least you'd think based on how their games look. A new engine will probably break them, but here's to hoping.

the map isn't drawn properly anyway since apparently riverwood is stormcloak despite being in whiterun hold
don't be surprised when the second great war happens off screen.
>Bethesda must use different engine
I happen to know a little bit about programming and game design and I don't think there's anything wrong with their engine other than how they're treating it. They could have huge 3d battles with thousands of soldiers on a PS4-tier PC if they put the effort in. PC games were doing this easily 15 years ago. it just hasn't been developed and integrated into the Gamebryo engine yet and would be a lot of work. do you think it would be easier to integrate this into the unreal engine? or would it be easier to create an RPG in a total war engine? no matter what they choose it's going to be a lot of work. for them it's easier to start with the engine they know, but it doesn't matter since they're too lazy to do the work needed anyway

It sounds like whether they go for a new engine or stick to creation Bethesda is going to fuck it up. That is about how I figured it'd go. I hate Bethesda so damn much, they have two of the best franchises in their pockets and they'll continue to get away with cutting corners simply because people can't stay away from the same tricks they've employed dozens of times.

GREYMANE OR BATTLEBORN?

>Empire
>good strong

???

Neither. Both are stupid.

They won't

The one with the most stealth archers is canon.

ever thought it might take place before skyrim?
for example when hammerfell left the empire?

>it might take place before skyrim
Until Fallout 76 every single Bethesda game took place later in the chronology of the series than the previous game despite there being no real reason for them to do so

im expecting another dragonbreak then
its the only thing bethesda could do that would make the most sense

why would they, the set up was perfect, giving the illusion of conflict between one faction over the other, expressing the illusion of conflict, of civil war, as both sides meet the same end, which is the player's playing of the game.

the way the games canon works is all the main quests and dlc are done by the player and side quest stuff happens but maybe not by the player.

>implying they wont make another 2E setting

Elder Bros, help me out.
I bought TESO and I just can't get into it, every class feels terrible.
How do I make the game fun?
I just want to play through the Morrowind storylines.

>the empire collapsed after managing to almost genocide the naz- the thalmor
>all the provinces are severed in multiple petty kingdoms warring for ressources and border villages
>map is Tamriel
>you assemble a band of opportunists and over time form an army
>game is about conquering Tamriel and founding the 4th empire under your character's dynasty
> you are Tiber Septim reincarnated
Meh

Best outcome.

Same way the handled the past choices: They won't.

Lorelets are retarded subhumans, what else is new?

awful

tiber septim doesnt WANT the empire to continue. he directly tells the player this in morrowind and why its dumb to have arguments over empire vs stormcloaks unless arguing from the point of your own character. we know what the outcome is going to be

Some third party came in and fucked everyone up

It'll take place before Skyrim.

Attached: 1554173390391.jpg (1024x689, 88K)

lets hope they handle it like sony devs and make it an overbudget lackluster piece of shit but with intense annoying movie tier sound effects

Join the rebellion.
