Quite honestly? If you keep an open mind you'll be blown away.

It's ubishit so it obviously has no soul. I use that term unironically. But the core shooting gameplay is quite fun and there are some fun things to do in the physics sandbox.

2 is the peak of the series, closely followed by blood dragon. 3 is turn off your brain fun while 1,4 and 5 are there just to be there. new dawn is subhuman tier.

For $20 you might enjoy yourself. It’s literally nothing like 2 though, much more like 4.

No, it's a low point for the series after 3 and 4. They "listened to the fans" and removed towers and crafting which was supposed to "fix" the Far Cry formula, but at the same time they made it worse in half a dozen other aspects.

far cry 5 is a massive improvement from 4 , no more fetch side quests , improved writing, and good villain

If you didn't care for 3 or 4, this won't change your mind.

It's enjoyable enough. But it's just a farcry game. The best part of the game is the soundtrack which they really cared for and gives a really good atmosphere.

If I try and play rainbow 6 siege without v-sync on it spikes to 200 fps and sounds like a jet engine too, but not a sound when I turn v-sync back on.
Partly bought a new pc for far cry 5 so this is bullshit.

I loved it pretty much for the setting alone.

Probably just bad ubi coding.

1.the story is not linear, you can start doing any of the 3 regions.
2. there are no more get the box at the bottom of the lake 1/150 , you actually have a written story even behind these little treasure hunts
3.a lot of completely optional sidequests that are fun, can you say the same about far cry 4 ?

4. game is more fun , more diverse weapons alien guns , Magnopulser , etc
5. no more clean up 50 basses full of copy pasted enemies

6. Fangs for Hire , diverse types of people to bring with you

so cmon man dont tell me far cry 4 is better.

The base gameplay is really fun, with a lot of movement options, decent stealth and combat etc, but it's all withing an absolutely chore of a game.
Too bad, really.
It is probably worth 20$, but i'll suggest you at least play it in coop.

Really just want a good cowboy game for pc since rockstar refuses to port red dead 2.

I enjoyed it a lot. The setting is nice, most of the side quests are fun, sometimes I just like to drive around because it's genuinely relaxing (Once the region is cleared, that is). SPAS-12 is lowkey one of my favorite weapons to just blow away enemies point blank.

Maybe it's just me, but I enjoyed it. May not be a perfect game in all regards, but I'd say it's worth $20.

crysis is the best far cry game

More of the same, but in Murica and has planes and better ally system. Tbh i had a decent time. Incendiary rounds + sawed of shotgun was great and OP.
