Got hired a stocker for a grocery store. What am I in for?

Pretty chill job if it’s at night
Just keep pace and don’t call out and they’ll start handing you promotions like candy

Stocking shelves.

Work in a toy store 5 days a week. Assuming I play 2 hours before bed every work days and about 10 hours during off days, I'm playing about 20-25 hours a week. I could play more, but I like being with friends and family is a bit needy. Sometime I get an extra day off and tell everybody I'm working to have it all for myself.

Attached: 1549306845535.png (512x798, 544K)

I never worked as stocker but I helped sometimes. Didnt seem too bad. You kind of get to work at your own pace and dont have to deal with shitty fucking customers. I assume you have to help unload trucks though. I hated that shit, hands would get super dry and nasty. Granted this was at walmart and they dont come on pallets. Just have to make an assembly line and put shit on pallets yourself.

>work 8 hrs
>hope to God you don't have to work the weekend
>sleep 8 hrs (the minimum)
>add 4 hrs to taking care of errands
There is just no time for games. Fuck a job.

Imagine being over the age of 16 and younger then the age of 65 and work at a grocery store. Must be a sad fucking existence. Glad I got a job thats fulfilling

>tfw just quit from burger king
feels good. don't let Yea Forums meme you into getting a job if you don't need one.

Attached: 1554265009445.jpg (1024x993, 101K)

>got hired at a walmart bakery
>the nigress manager was always up my ass because I was the most useful and fit
>They always fucking relied on me to do freezer storage shit including unloading pallets
Fucketh you walmart

You're a neet? Where does money come from? Are you leeching off your family?

Forearm arthritis

What if that user doesnt find fufillment from lining Shecklebergs pockets like a good goy? What if that user just wants to make enough to survive and fund his own hobbies that he actually does get some sort of fufillment from?

If you're financially stable, then why did you get a job at a shitty fast food place?

Attached: Ao.png (368x512, 267K)

mad pussy

4 hours a day apart from some Sundays and Tuesdays. I want more working hours but at the same time I don't.

Just want a night job honestly, where I can chill and get paid for working 8 hour shifts.

Attached: comfy.jpg (499x499, 41K)

Work from 8 to 4
Talk to wife
>Game from 5 to 7
>Have food
>Game from half 7 to 10
>Go to bed

4 and a half hours a night when nothing else is happening.

Are you me? Had the same problem. Got fired from that job because I wasn't fast enough, but nobody else helped so off course it was taking long.

What do you mean "If you don't need one"? Unless you have rich parents or win the lottery or some something how can you get by without one?

Kill yourself

Can't work because of Autism
Fuck wage slaves

I got fed up with my life and thought it'd somehow help fix things. It made me forget my actual responsibilities and work fucking hard and after two and a half months I only have $1,500.

No matter what you do your work is going towards keeping Mr. Nose rich, unless you start your own business. At least if you're not working some shitty grocery job you're actually getting some money out of it.

I did electronics when I was there. It was annoying because they always made us take care of random shit like toys and the fish. Also worked with a bunch of old fucks and a couple girls who knew nothing about electronics so I was always the one who had to sell shit and get big as tvs out of the back. Hell they offered me some assistant management spot. Which was weird since i called in all the fucking time from getting shitfaced on my days off

That's 4 hours of games right there you lazy fucking neet

What are you even good for then?

>sent over 20 applications
>not a single call
How do I job?

Attached: 1543362479339.png (739x729, 424K)

A chill time if you've got some good co-workers working on shift. I met some of my best friends when I worked in my local grocery store. Nightshifts are top tier if you're able to get back into a good sleep pattern aftwerwards.

Posting on Yea Forums and ruining any thread that you're in takes up most of my time. I barely have any time for vidya anymore

>graduated uni with engineering degree in december
>cant find a decent job still
On one hand its nice having all this time to play vidya, and i kind of dread when i do eventually find work and lose this freetime. But on the other hand i feel like shit since I am broke all the time and can't find a job.

>chill job at a daycare
I literally just sat with a sleeping baby lying all over me for an hour and a half today and then I played kitchen

Shits cash

>sent a single application
>get spammed with billions of scam calls
>sent another application
>scam calls multiplied despite being blocked

Attached: 1557423538767.jpg (720x734, 42K)

I work a couple shifts a week doing resp therapy, and usually do music projects, live sound, record bands, etc.
I take home about a grand a week.

>Just keep pace and don’t call out and they’ll start handing you promotions like candy

There's no wageslave job where promotions are worth it. Do your job just well enough to not get fired but not so well that they pile all sorts of additional responsibility on you and call you in all the time on your days off and pay you a trivial amount more in exchange for exponentially more work.

How old and have you ever had a job before?

Lie. Lie like a motherfucker, anything you're sure you can get away with and will pad your resume, lie about it.

You could be applying right now

I work in HR doing interviews.
Post a sample of your resume, I'll qualify you

If you're in the Bay area of CA, I'll hire you

>NEET
>money running out
>need to start looking for jobs again
Working was the most soul destroying experience, I don't want to go back.

Attached: 1437389540277.png (327x327, 159K)

Worked overnights at Walmart as a stocker for Frozen. Fucked up my sleep schedule but slowly started getting used to 6 hours of sleep so usually had time for like an hour or 2 for games everyday if I wanted to. I handed in my notice in crayon

>work 3 12hr days a week
>4 days off in a row

all i gotta do is wipe old people buts for 12 bucks an hour

same here m8, the only job i've had was because my family knew the owner, shits fucked

>he doesn't work in his family's business increasing family networth

Attached: 1556646957517.png (459x475, 169K)

>get a part time job that was supposed to be just for experience and 6 months long
>3 years later im still here

I work about 45 hours per week. The job is about as enjoyable as a job can be but I would rather just play vidya all day. I usually save up some flextime and take a couple of days off every now and then.

Attached: 13246613196.gif (500x272, 1006K)

You should just die since you're so worthless.

I only work weekends as a Lazer Tag referee. I even get to listen to music/podcasts on the field.

24, 2 jobs as a salesman before.
I'll rather not risk posting my resume here. No offense but its Yea Forums after all

Attached: 1454466427444.jpg (854x859, 372K)

>tfw you're a construction inspector

6-10s are suffering but at least it's only for the summer.

I work 7 to 7 and a half hours a day since I get paid to eat lunch thanks to my office job.
Always feels like I don’t have enough time until the weekend when it feels like I have nothing to play.

>>work 8 hrs

I fucking wish.

>work 8 hours plus obligatory 1 hour break in the middle
>1 hour transit times two

That's 11 hours wasted. Now add in getting changed + grooming to look presentable for those normalfags, slow traffic and shower taken after work and you're pushing 12 hours a day on nothing but work stuff. Life is fucking shit.

Attached: 1472240552923.jpg (600x686, 45K)

Just get your monthly supply of neetbuxs.
Or you can kill yourself, saves you the trouble of working.

bruh i feel you. just waiting for family to die so i can sell the house and move to a cuckshed and be useless the rest of my life

>Having generational wealth

why admit to being jewish when this board is anonymous?

Fuck that shit. If your company is trying to pull this shit then that means they are reliant on you. Which means you have their balls in a vice grip and you can essentially tell them to fuck off when they try to get you to do dumb shit like work extra hours.

Come kill me faggot

Wasn't this thread deleted literally half an hour ago?

you don't have to post your name dumbass just your most prominent bullet points
however from what I see you'd be a good janitor

a slave bragging about his alpha slave perks

My friend worked at burger king and he had a lot of stories to tell. Here's my favorite:
>Be my friend
>Suddenly, wild customer appear
>Ask for whopper without bacon
>Friend misunderstand it has Extra bacon since whopper don't usually have bacon.
>Customer go home with their order
>Come back 15 minutes later angry as fuck
>Starts yelling at the cashier
>Customer:"YOU PUT BACON IN MY BURGER YOU SICK FUCK"
>Cashier is confused
>Friends comes from the kitchen asking what's the problem
>Customer proceed to tell him he's muslim and can't eat pork in any form becaus religion
>Friends appologies and offer free meal coupon
>Muslim accuse friend of maliciously putting bacon in burger
>Friend apologize again, but says he can't magically take back the bacon.
>They scream at him angrily for a good ten minutes and he just stand there kind of flabergasted at the ordeal.
>Muslim ends is rant saying he's going to burn in hell because of him.
>My friend just condemned a muslim to hell with bacon.
>MFW

Yeah the whole boomer meme of "put your head down, work hard, and everything will work out for you" is just that. A meme.

I'm on the flexitime so I can work whatever I want really as long as I do all my hours during an 8 week period.
8-4 just keeps shit simple.

Don't be out of shape, be fast.

I bill 40 hours but it's much closer to 30 in the office, although I would say in a given say I complete maybe 2 hours of actual work.
I don't play videogames on weekdays, I go to the gym before work and come home and make food/clean then go to bed.

That nametag is an excellent touch

That can be arranged, post your address faggot.

I wagecuck at Domino's, late afternoon to evening shifts, 30 hours a week.

Get discounted food and can stay up through the night for vidya, I'm a night owl so that's good.

Pretty based desu.

Salary of £2k a month, £3k currently in savings.

What should be my financial goal at this income rate?

Attached: 1550567581688.png (800x800, 563K)

Not him, but I'm a resp therapist at a hospital. I literally go unit to unit replacing oxygen tanks and chatting up nurses. I've fucked a dozen in the last two years. It's only part time, but plenty of money to survive. I love my job.

Pretty cool

7am to 3am, Sunday to Thursday. I get home for half 3, prep dinner, do some cleaning if I need to, go to the gym for an hour, have dinner, chill for the rest of the night if I've got no other commitments.
I've hit a nice rythm.

Attached: 1555702568372.png (882x688, 528K)

>work and video games

you really wanna spend your only life the worst possible
slaving and suffering and then on your free time staring at a screen and waiting death

Attached: KL7zcqK.jpg (500x333, 24K)

>Work as a housekeeper in a hospital
>32 an hour tho
>thatsprettygood.avi
>remember that you live in the bay area and that even 32 an hour is at the poverty line

>every weekday
>either weight lift or jog 2 miles at 5am on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7am on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays
>go to work at 7am-11am or 9am-11am
>60~90 minute lunch
>back to work around 12 or 12:30 ish
>work until 4pm
That's pretty much what my regular day looks like, except I dont have to go to work until 9am and leave at 4pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (on Fridays I'm off at 3pm).
>dont have to work weekends, also have holidays off

I don't even think it was half an hour

40 hours work
35 hours sleep with a nap here and there
rest is spent browsing, anime and games, occasionally helping out around the house
no gf so I'm lucky I can live with my parents

If you have college education and looking for a regular job, do NOT put it on your resume
Thats a big red flag to employers if you're educated for something else and then looking for a regular job. They know that the moment you find a job in your field (lmao good luck) you'll drop the job like a hot rock.

Astolfo hentai commissions.

Attached: Tiger.png (809x716, 646K)

wow this totally happened

also the "you offended by pork, mudslimes?" is a literal facebook boomer meme, try harder

Yes, where do you think we are?

Free time is about 6:30 to 11:00

If you can't find me you're more worthless than I am Billy Big Bollocks xD

Depends on your expenses.

>SysAdmin
>37.5 hours per week
>work from home
>most work only takes half a day
>play vidya the other half
>gf goes to bed at 8pm every night to walk dogs early
>play vidya until 1am every day too

I like my work/life balance

Sure.

What the fuck else is life for at this point. Just add some time to keep yourself a little fit.

3pm* fuck

Well, if my friend lied to me, he's a pretty good liar. because up to that point, he had a pretty open distaste of muslim.

Reminder from the last thread. Engineering is a massive fucking meme degree

Wait I did add college education on my resume. Is that an actual red flag? can somebody vouch for it?

That might be the factor

Attached: 1531976822519.jpg (960x684, 29K)

I work 40 hours a week Monday through Friday. I usually get a few hours of gaming/alone time Monday Tuesday and Wednesday night. Thursday-Sunday is usually either gaming or doing stuff with family.

20 hours. Pretty comfy. Wouldn't want to work full time and don't know how people stand it.

Mooch off my mother and pay minimal rent, my expenses are basically zero besides occasional ice cream and booze to cope with the wageslavery

Same, enough time to play a shitload of stuff and even invest time in other hobbies.

>part time work
>part time school
>rarely play videogames anymore
>any free time i have i just want to shitpost or relax with youtube videos
Help me

Did someone put bacon in your burger user?

There's more to NEETbux than that, I'll eventually end up in a job anyway.

>
37.5 hours a week is nice. I have a lot of free time during the whole week and don't feel burned out on Friday.

>work from home
how can i accomplish this? i wanna get into sysad working from home. got security+ certification too

Actually yes that is true. The whole overqualified thing is true. If this is just some regular shit job that probably doesnt even need a highschool diploma. You shouldnt put your college education on your application

I left my job at Walmart after 10 years without anything lined up. I was arrogant thinking my 10 years of retail experience would land me a job quickly. Boy do I regret it. I'm basically living off of my 401k money right now.

If the console you choose to pick up was the Xbox, you're clearly not good with money.

You're only there because you choose to be.

Something similar happened to me, a bunch of Jews from Isreal came and barely spoke English and each and every one of them asked for "no cheese" on their Whopper which annoyed me since the Whopper doesn't come with cheese anyways. Anyways the new bitch in the kitchen misreads the receipts and gives them chesse anyways, and they all blame me.

So they take off the cheese, and five minutes later the one who ordered the angry whopper is back and is enraged that we put bacon in it saying "I can't food bacon, I jewish" and getting extremely upset despite not mentioning bacon once in our initial meeting. So they replaced the burger with a chicken burger or something and they cursed me on their way out.

There was also the time a schizophrenic boomer woman got angry we gave her only one whopper on her mobile order because she was elderly and meant to put two, so she stayed in the drive thru for 20 minutes, then threw the whopper back at my manager who promptly slammed it back in her face.

>most people want a shorter work week
>technology advances and it takes less work to meet society's demands
>work week stays the same because boomers demand to get paid without doing work

so if yang wins could I theoretically live in the midwest without ever needing to work?

What job

yeah, probably why he makes up stories because he's a bitter seething fast food wagie

we both know he's too much of a coward to even talk back to his manager, let alone do something that would guaranteed get him fired.

Let me guess, you're american?

I have like $30,000 atm, but still paranoid I'm gonna be broke, so I'm cheap and work 35 hours a week.

Shit I'll re-apply but remove the education part them.

also, quick question. How is a Walmart job as a stocker?

Attached: 1531024800547.jpg (250x238, 20K)

Same but my boss is from El Salvador and refuses to speak English

This, I worked at Publix as a cashier but was immediately promoted to customer service because I'm not a social autist. Twice the responsibility, none of the pay raise! Quit a month later.

20 hours a week,
mon-Fri
2pm to - 6pm.

Plenty of tkme to game. I get up at 10am and play games before work. It's perfect for me, I get optional overtime and don't pay tax.

If a low-level/entry level job thinks you're always going to be looking for something better, they're less likely to hire you. No point training a guy for 2 months and then having him walk.
Higher education can legitimately keep you from getting a wageslave job.

just work part time bruh

I work 40 hours a week. I play 4-6 hours a day (more on weekends) and if it's slow at work I play mobile games or bring my 3DS. I play more now than I did in college, honestly.

Every wage hell needs to adopt a 10 hour a day 4 days a week routine.
You never feel that 2 extra hours a day, plus I get some small overtime. It saves on gas because you commute 1 less day a week.

I work Mon-Thurs with a 3 day weekend. I live alone with no outside life and cook for myself so I have three solid days to game.....if there were any good games to play in the first place. Today I mostly fuck around online or play old shit.
I have more free time now than ever since I don't have to go to school, have a parttime job, have to do homework, or deal with people in general all in one day.

after tax or before?

I mean, Im on a team where we develop instruments used in science projects all over the world, I even get to travel to install some of them, its actually quite interesting.

I work 8 hours, occasionally work one weekend day, and average 5 hours of sleep per night.

Yes i know
The hours are just so flexible and my boss is cool and pretty much the only friend i have.
IT retard

Canadian to be exact, and you're actually pretty spot on. Friend is a doormat in most situation, but he was in my class back in high school and liked yugioh and videogames.

>bro get a job that isn't willing to work around school hours and has super high requirements and expectations while you're at school

40 hours, 9-5 office admin
Just waiting for death

It implies two things:

You will be leaving suddenly and unannounced once you get the job you actually want.
Or
You will act like the job is completely below you and won't be willing to do the more menial tasks.

It could also imply you are a failure but find its more related to you suddenly leaving once you get a better job. Employers want dumb people who won't question authority, accept awful wages, and will always show up. Someone educated tends not to accept any or all of these things.

>got job as video game tester
>got fired because I kept saying their games were shit
I thought if I acted just like Yea Forums it would work

None. I lack "work experience" so nobody will take me in. I keep getting told to go elsewhere but then they ask for experience too so I'm stuck unless a miracle happens.

>Labourer

38 hours a week of work, sometimes 46 or even 54 if I get lucky with shifts. On a bad day, I have no time for games at home, which is once a week

>home at 0510 and sleep till 0710
>leave for uni and stay there 0900-1600
>1700 back at home and go to work again at 1930
At least I spend almost all my working hours on my phone playing games.

~14hours a week and i make a couple hundos a month playing poker. im not rich at all but ive so much free time and its all i want

UBI is a retarded way to fix inequality anyways, the majority of the left doesn't back it, only the lolbertarian techbro left does

No idea. I've been unemployed for a while with big gaps. Had a cashier job in December that lasted a week. The only reason they called me was because they were obviously desperate (as was I), basically no interview and the turnover rate was insane due to management. Basically got treated like an idiot for not knowing how to do things I wasn't even trained on and then treated like a retard when I'd ask questions. Job before that was a call center where I got told to kill myself a lot each day over the phone.

I'm a wal-mart box jockey.
The jobs not bad but honestly try and get something in the backroom.
Wal-mart isn't a terrible place to work but I tell you wal-mart customers are some of the most frustrating, retarded and smelly people you'll ever have the displeasure to deal with.

>staying at walmart for 10 years

Literally why? I spent like 3 years in retail when i was a teen and the turnover was insane.

I mean, if it did happen, technically your friend tricked that dude into ingesting haram goods, which renders the damnation null and void if he was unaware of it. From my experience, people like to use that rule as a loophole: one co-worker of mine often buys a pastrami sandwich for lunch of which he doesn't know the meat contents, but then he plugs his fingers in his ears if anyone tries to tell him it's pork he's consuming. He technically doesn't know, so there's your "get-out-of-haram's-way" card for Muslims for you.

So what do I do? the "higher education" jobs aren't calling me back, and I need an income. I want out of this NEET life considering the fact that both my brothers are working full time and I'm the oldest among them. It's pathetic to live like this

Should I really subject myself to the wagecucking life?

Being overqualified isn't a meme, fren. You'll be seen as someone who's just looking for an in-between job while you pursue something with a better salary and less likely to be offered the position.

Attached: 1557607660524.jpg (550x550, 61K)

This

requires absolutely no hard skills besides common sense either, the software does all the "research" for you

Like this You get to kinda do your own thing without managers or customers fucking with you too much. Also it keeps you busy. But unloading trucks sucks dick. Maybe its not so bad once youve been doing it for awhile and you know exactly what box goes on which pallet, i only had to help woth that shit a couple of times so I didnt know exactly where shit went while unloading and its kind of hectic. Also it would get kind of hot in the backroom so unloading left you a bit sweaty.

I got a job as a programmer and as long as I fill up my weekly quota I can make my own time so that usually leaves me with 4 days a week free to play video games
it just feels a bit lonely sometimes

I work at least 8 hours a day during the weekday. If no OT limitation, I usually stay 9-10 hours doing stuff I can't do during my normal hours, 5s shit, planning for other days, etc.

I usually only play an hour or so of vidya each day. I don't play at all if I stay for super overtime. I worked a 14 hour shift the day before.

The only time it affected me was when I was applying for a super entry level job (it was warehouse assistant) and was told I was way too overqualified. I got a better paying position working in logistics there instead. I've gotten other retail slave jobs from seasonal warehouse stocker to night shift manager with my education on my resume.

What is stupid though, as that my place just hired a kid straight out of high school as a maintenance assistant. No skills related to the job what so ever (only job he had was flipping burgers), and the usually maintenance guy is always pissed at him since the kid knows absolutely nothing and he can't teach him anything (and he shouldn't either. He himself had to apprentice as a plumber and electrician, and this isn't an apprenticeship. So the kid gets sent out to help my department 90% of the time, but due to his position, he actually gets paid more than most hourly people in the building while all he can do is put stickers on things and stuff in boxes.

tl;dr
apply to everything you can, even if you are under qualified. You might get lucky and get paid 20+ dollars an hour with no higher education of any sort and no work skills what so ever.

If he is covering his ears that means he does know.

Remember NEET anons:

Most normies are fucking useless, if you put half as much effort into your eventual job as you do to shitposting you will blow your employer away.

I work 8-4 every day, but I am on full flex so I can come/go at what times I want.

Pretty comfy, planning to be a full time raider when WoW Classic comes out, unless I get a new gf in the meantime

Have two resumes; one with your college education and one without.

>my boss is cool
This never ever happen, user. Consider yourself lucky.

I fell for the Graphic Design meme.

I get paid 10$ an hour to sit around a fuck with a Wordpress Site part time. Only work 20 hours a week and then 10-15 hours doing freelance work for a client if I ever get one.

Fuck pajeets and fuck fiverr.

call them. why are you waiting for them to call you? show some iniative

It gets worse

>labourer implies tradesmen
A labourer can be a guy who fucking digs ditches for a living. Which is without a doubt a shit tier job

in a real job you can't just close the thread and go pace circles in your room every time you get btfo

Except the old people working at grocery stores tend to be retired from professional work and are just working for a little bit of spending cash and don't need the 40 hours of week labor.

I used to work at a dollar store but couldn’t handle all the niggers and white trash junkies, plus my coon manager completely fucked up the store to the point where I was having to come in at 4 am to stock, when running a dollar store should be literally the easiest job ever. I used to come home and smoke tons of weed and play vidya for hours but now I’m a depressed NEET and I just lay in bed or read books most days. I wish I could find a low effort low human contact job, like night watch at a parking garage or some shit.

I work at a gym where all I do is make sure people have a membership. I'm allowed to play video games on the job

>making you unload a truck with stuff not on pallets

I worked unloading trucks at a supermarket and it was really easy. Just taking pallets off the truck.

This is true, most people that get a job don't really work much. If you actually do your job, you'll probably end up getting employee of the month or some shit.

been there. most of it just stems from insecurity. their lives are shit and they need to vent. don't take it personally.

Hope you at least do a mid-shift work out

Alright I'll try the "no education" resume with Stocker job. Thanks frens

Depends. I'm a sperg so even though i can out work normies easily no one is going to care because it's all about being likable and sucking up.

Howd you get a position like that?

I might be going uni this year but if i don't the degree I would be studying for is accountancy

No, like, he does that for every pastrami sandwich. It's impressive, the lengths people will go to to get some good food in their belly. Besides, the rule also covers co-ercions, so there goes your fantasies of force-feeding mudslimes haram shit. No but really the pastrami sandwichs are so damn good at the local deli so I understand my co-worker completely.

Put this in the last thread. Im located in the US. My GPA wasnt great, but not bad either. Right under 3.3. Also yeah I did have internships. Its disappointing, because everyone always fills your head with "if you can make it through the schooling an engineering degree is a pretty easy path to a nice high paying job."and this has been anything but that...

That seem highly hypocritical. Can't help but picture this :
>Allah: You seem to have lived a pretty haram life my child
>Muslim: Thank you Allah
>Allah: Just one thing tho... you seem to have eaten a lot of pastrami.
>Muslim: Well yes. Pastrami tastes good.
>Allah: was there pork in that pastrami?
>Muslim: Well I'm not sur-
>Allah: You mean there could have been pork in that pastrami and you didn't even bother to check!?
>Muslim: B-but allah I didn-
>Allah: OMG there was pork in that pastrami!! to hell with you infidel!!

>2 year wage gap
i'm in that boat.

What the fuck were you going to do with your life anyway?

Easy and mindless work. Unless you're some kind of weakling and just focus on work you'll do fine

Yeah the grocery store i worked as was like this. Not walmart though. I assume cause they have so much shit

I work about 40-50 hours a week. The job itself isn't bad but it's a fucking hour long commute both ways, meaning I'm spending an extra 20 hours a week not at home. It's awful.

Cap 2 doesn't do that. You have to load the at the store.

>3 trucks
>2000+ pieces
>meat and produce truck inbound
>only 10 people because everyone called out
gg

Retail is still better then fast food or a call center

IT'S NOT FAIR, IF I'M NOT WORKING 100% ALL THE TIME MANAGERS ARE ON MY BACK

Attached: 7161364812.png (633x758, 16K)

Depends, that's half true

But statistics don't lie, also doing your job to an extent it makes everyone elses easier without intentionally taking their role off them will win you big smiles

>tfw wish i worked more hours cause work is the only place i socialize and actually interact with other human beings
An abstract type of feel

play vidya and fap to anime bitches

Walmart isn't awful as a temporary job. I enjoyed my time there and it helped that my CSM and ZSM where good and recognized who was just sucking up to them and who did work. I'd hate being stuck on the floor for years. Cashiering, and electronics were good ways to be consistently noticed by management at my store. Stocking itself was pretty bland, you didn't get to meet the crazy people and you were only recognized if you weren't doing your job.

Because I'm an unskilled laborer. It was my first full time job with benefits.

I work 7-4 as a groundskeeper and since I don't talk to my coworkers outside of work I still talk to my high school friends and we play video games all the time after work because I just so happen to live with a couple of them. I get at least 4 hours a day to play games. I clean the house and do dishes and laundry and all that on the weekends but I cook for all of us daily. I'm quite happy with my life thus far.

Attached: 1556318550316.gif (250x250, 144K)

Yeah, the Abrahamic books are full of weird shit and loopholes like that. I mean, one of the testaments says you go to hell for eating seafood, so yeah.

But user, remember
The NEETs on this board would have to learn how to shower and make themselves presentable. And those are skills that are beyond most NEETs. Many don't even think they smell because "I don't smell anything!" since they're become accustomed to their own stench

Get a job in the public sector, unless you're high tiers you get treated way better and better benefits than private sector where they treat you like shit

By having a marketing degree and not being a sperg in interviews.
It's at the head office of a very old fashion company so the higher ups are half a bottle of gin in by 11am, then it's the mid-highers who run all the teams who have in fighting politics, then its people on my level who dont get involved in all the infighting

It's overall comfy with lots of benefits, as long as you have some good conversion skills (not to be confused with salesmen talk, people can tell the different) you can get a head in marketing

Stocking.
And praying that none of your former friends or bullies see you.

I do 40 hours a week. I usually can play about 2 or 3 hours a day. If I'm busy then none

There are already countries with this policy and they do just fine. Your hoss Mr. Shekelstein is invested in you being against this so you'll wage slave it up for 4 dollars an hour or whatever the minimum wage is in your state.

Damn that sounds shitty, hopefully you're getting paid well, my commute is an hour one way but I at least have the option of working from home a couple of times a week

But if I'm applying for part-time jobs shouldn't they know that I'll be set to leave eventually? What else should I add to my otherwise empty resume?

>Besides, the rule also covers co-ercions, so there goes your fantasies of force-feeding mudslimes haram shit.
Interesting. Thank you user. Will try to bring that up to my pal eventually. Hopefully this will ease him a bit.

I work on average 36-40 hours a week. 10 AM to 6:45 PM. 5 days a week. Off two days. I have a cushy/lax job & get paid pretty well. Manager just spends their time in the office or bullshits with us/other colleagues in the building we are leasing in. I have plenty of time to game after work & on my days off as well as meet up with friends & colleagues to spend time with. Downside for me at least is that I can't fall asleep till 2 AM. Then I wake up at 8 AM to get ready for work. If anything I feel like I game too much.

>tfw can sleep at work as long as I get the job done
>job just involves a 30 minute team meeting and 30 minutes out in the field after driving to site
Feels good to get paid more than you for this.

I believe in you user
Out of curiosity, what is your actual education for?

>Working a nightshift over Christmas period in local supermarket
>Place is completely empty expect for me, 4 co-workers, and a manager
>Nearly finished our work for the night
>Print off a bunch of barcode labels and stick them on our chest, arms, etc
>2 people go to opposite checkouts
>"Shoot" at eachothers barcode labels with the handheld checkout scanners
>Whoever got scanned the most by the end had to buy the first round of drinks at the pub on the weekend
I miss that shitty job sometimes.

37.5 hours a week at a Pharma company, but probably closer to 30 with the extra time I steal on tea breaks and lunch.

It's comfy, and super easy to maintain a work/life divide. If that shit doesn't happen on the clock, it ain't happening 'til tomorrow.

Became an English teacher after college. Making a comfy $36k a year. Every weekend off, holidays, summers, etc. Get done every day by 3pm. It leaves plenty of time for vidya, and even get to discuss it with students. It's also pretty damn fulfilling.

Not a wagie I have my own company, I work about 25-30 hours a week and pay myself 50k a year after taxes. Used to work like a dog 50-60 hours a week and no vacation untill I got the company growing (currently 13 employees)

Planning on selling the company in a few years and retiring since I also have a six figure sum in crypto.

So nothing of value, yet you expected to get everything for free. Life has plenty to offer, you're just personally worthless.

I am utterly bewildered by people who do not shower and go in public.

Wicked easy. I stocked shelves all through college, it was actually pretty cash. You get to move, get a little exercise, and flirt with all the young cashier pussy. I look back on that job fondly now.

A friend of mine also went to school for being a teacher. 12 years later while working 2 part time jobs, substitution work AND a home business, he FINALLY got his foot in the door for a full time position.

I legit wanted to fucking end it all when I worked in a call center. I REFUSE to ever work a job like that again.

I work at a really shitty IT company as an ETL developer and hate it
Shitty pay, 1.5 hour commute each way, 9 to 6, cameras inside the office pointing at the monitors, can't surf the web, have work all the time because they can't handle all the clients.

I was in advertising and marketing by you need to be really extroverted, and you really can't fake it. My social battery kept running out by lunch time while everyone had made chat groups and were hanging gout after class. It ended up being very cliquey. The work wasn't for me either.

I'm thinking of taking either wielding or horticulture as an arborist or gardener. Wielding pays more and I can finally move to America, but it can be hazardous. Gardening pays nothing but you live squirt healthy life in nature, also doesn't guarantee me a citizenship.

I really don't care. I don't have any passions. I don't want to live to work. I want a job I can go to and not have to think about when I'm off the clock.

I'm literally shitposting at work listening to music.

Mind you this mostly happens on Sundays but I'll take it.

Being cheap is good

And what does that mean, user? What are you doing to accomplish that?

20 applications total is nothing, I was doing that every two days during my 5 months of job searching. Try the government, if you are in the US try governmentjobs.com/. You have access to 50 states, which all have their own departments, and this also includes cities and counties. You have hundreds of potential employers all on the same website.

Be sure you do everything the application asks you to do. We have to throw away applications because their cover letter or resume didn't address the points we wanted, they didn't show they had the experience we needed, and so on. The application requires are shown on the application for most government jobs. Just avoid the federal level with our current political environment.

Don"t know what hospital you work at but RTs around here are worked super fucking hard without being given full-time benefits. Many of the smart ones left to go work for DME or HHOs for the better scheduling and benefits. If what you say is not fabricated, kudos to you and don't get another RT job at a different hospital because RT's are abused more than nurses.

Currently doing work placement for a warehouse place (not Amazon) doing returns, 8:30-16:30 Mon-Fri (Mon-Thu during placement).
The work is fine, but they have Heart radio playing throughout the warehouse and hearing the same 10 songs over and over is really triggering my autism (we're not allowed to bring phones into the warehouse).
I've even asked my manager if I could have some noise protectors to block out the music and he said yes.

I work around 50 hours a week. I barely play Vidya during the week and do most of it during the weekend.

I just got into a Master's program though, so that shit is gonna go bye-bye. I'm trying to wrap up StarCraft 1/2 before classes start, about to finish WoL so I should be good before August.

At least you have the option.

My first job was at a Bottle Depot; no music allowed at all, just the sound of machines and clanking/smashing glass.

>Nursing Job.
So why aren't you working in a hospital? Sure the hours are long but christ the pay/benefits is so much better. At least consider being a traveling nurse. The pay so much better and its easy. Get to spend a few months in another town/state and move all over again. Sure it could be tiresome, if you see it that way, but at least its paid for, including your food/transportation.

Yeah, easy but boring as fuck. When i worked jobs like that i'd be slow because i'd have to find anyway to distract myself or go insane.

There's literally nothing else in life worth doing, besides working out because I'm a narcissistic fucker

I ended up quitting my full time job in the city and now I work 20 hours a week in a local charity store. I still make enough money to cover the house and now I have a lot more free time to engage in hobbies like working on the garden and hiking. Video games too, of course.

I had what you'd describe as a perfect office job. Sat by the window, easy job, no one ever checked what I was working on. I hated it. I was so fucking bored and I couldn't just obviously not work, so I had to stare at the computer. It was a company computer so I couldn't install anything and still had to at least look like I was working if anyone came by. Office jobs are soul crushing. I eventually quit despite making good money because it was driving me insane. Not to mention I worked in an office full of women.

Going to come down on how much of a pay difference we are talking.

Gig economy work is true wage slavery. It should be banned.

I'm lucky my coworkers are usually nice, at least to me. I get a ton of people come and vent their woes to me though for some fucking reason.

Now, occasionally we'll get people who act like babies and shit. Just recently, my lead, who is quit a bit younger then my desk neighbor and myself got super fucking pissed and threw a tantrum for some unknown reason. Turns out, my neighbor (who is also technically a lead, but was stealth promoted and even he didn't know until months later when his title in HR system changed) was chosen to go on a week long cushy business trip for training instead of the lead. Turns out the lead was planning the trip for quite a while. It actually only made sense, since the my neighbor is also a lead and the other guy went on the same trip not even half a year ago.

That's actually a pretty good idea, I'll ask them tomorrow.
The no phones thing is also so that people don't take pictures of inventory or customer's details.

>being paid per package
I hope you can at least claim the gas money...

About 40 hours a week. I'm a contractor so sometimes jobs take longer than expected or they go smoothly and you finish earlier than expected. I usually have time for 1-3 hours of vidya every weekday.

You should probably ETS. People who make the military a career instead of a stepping stone are scared of real life.

Wow, absolutly epic post user. Im sure every one is clapping for you. You really rose up my gamer

I've done some basic stuff here and there
>Subway
Really fun actually. I suck at memorizing but making the sandwiches and doing them quickly became part of the game. We also got to do homework or watch Netflix when the store was slow/near closing. Left because it wasn't paying well.

>Janitor at a supermarket
I liked my time there but one of my tasks was cleaning the meat room and lemme tell you putting a normally social 20-year old in pure isolation for four hours with nothing but his thoughts can make him an angry and bitter person. Made decent money but quit because the managers got uppity with me one day about tasks I wasn't doing that they hadn't told me to do for the entirety of my 8 months there

>Deli at a different supermarket
Easily the worst job I've ever had. You work with sad old people in a cold and moist environment at godawful hours. The mood sucks, the breaks suck, the pay sucks. Don't work at a big supermarket deli ever. My friends worked at smaller delis in smaller stores so that might be the key. Quit when I found my current job

Pure kino. You get to listen to your own tunes, enjoy nice days, and if you have a microscopic more work effort than the average dude there the bosses will eat you up and let you get away with almost anything. EZ 20$/hr. The day also goes by fast as each delivery will take you ~20m and most shifts aren't terrifyingly long. Have to leave soon to get a real job now that I"m finally finishing up school, but holy shit get yourself into a good delivery job and you're set.

Depends where you work. If it's a busy area like where I worked and its upscale like whole foods, expect a lot of annoying questions about organic shit. Beyond that, it can be an easy job beyond the fact you're stocking groceries and its lame and boring. The hours usually suck too if you're new.

sounds good to me

struck a nerve, huh

I don't know what the fuck to do. I have some little money left. Do i pay for welding courses? Or something else?

They don't exist. You are going to have to interact with people.

dishwashing, its pretty shit tier but I could pretty much avoid any social interaction when i wanted too

Night work is probaby the way to go.

my dad retired early and he took up stuff like chairty work, beekeeping and becoming a church warden to pass the time.

Fucking this. Worked at a bookstore and because I was the only competent employee they made me head cashier with no pay raise, then eventually a supervisor with a small pay raise while I had to do all the work of a manager. Quit as soon as they told me I couldn't use any PTO to go on vacation during the slowest time of the year.

That costs money, besides I already take plethera of vitamins to supplement my poor diet of granola bars and ramen

It's not full military so I can't do that.
I just program the computer systems but for a department that isn't contracted out.
It's full time employment for life and the job is easy and interesting but if I have to speak to one more person I'm going to go crazy

>tfw can't even get a job at kfc

I work at a bookmakers. Job is chill, coworkers are great, pay could be better but i spend most of my shift chatting/browsing Yea Forums but honestly I only play vidya 2-3 times a week. Usually if i have a working day i'll just go out and see a friend or watch a movie. I save vidya for when i can fully concenrate on it.

Go be an electrician or get some CISCO certs.

>Pizza Delivery

do you drive your own car and do the pizza store have their own for you to drive?

Analytical Scientist. I work for a third party company for a Big Pharma corp, doing the work their scientists used to. The third party just does it cheaper and less benefits on our end. It's not in London, but it's in London commuting range basically

Janitor
The most interaction you'll get is your manager or someone telling you to go clean something

6-7 hours a day usually 6 days a week. Though some days can go for 10+ hours depending on the jobs, its usually rare. Got all of Sunday to play whatever I want. Granted I have the personality of a doorknob, and no friends, and im living at home paying really low rent.
But i can play enough games to be happy-ish and have the money to buy more along with whatever else i need. Probably not wagie status.

In a factory.

>busts ass off everyday for barely above minimum wage full time
>overqualified but dumbs down everything so I can see how condescending everyone is since I was told to not to make people feel stupid
I brought this upon myself but holy shit i genuinely forgot how some folks treats strangers like total trash.

>if I say something dumb and people point it out it means they're upset

Attached: 35._Glad_To_Be_Here.jpg (3336x2564, 2.04M)

Never take on more responsibility anons, it's almost always extra work for no extra pay and not worth the stress. Don't go thinking it will lead to better things down the line, it doesn't.

The fuck did you put on your resume to be rejected by the colonel's slave army?

Attached: 6d2.png (641x320, 260K)

I can fully understand why people who aren't extroverted to some extent don't like it. I was very comfortable with presenting and talking in class to answer questions and discuss topics, and even normies who went clubbing every night struggled to present in class, (and from what i've seen on LinkedIn those that could not talk in class are struggling for work)

talking to people is very key in marketing so if you did stick through it a job would likely involve building relationships a lot, I have about a dozen suppliers, account managers and branch managers daily, you gotta remember to ask them about their holidays, any past shit, it's a lot.

You can probably get financial aid for classes if you go to the fasfa website, assuming you're American. Just look at what's hiring in your area to see the job outlook for that trade and then go for one.

About to wrap up machining training myself and a good amount of my classmates that graduated already have decent paying jobs.

>tfw only make 20k/y
>live /w mommy
>pay very litte rent
>can basically keep my entire salary and save it/dump it in shares/crypto
>end up with more money overall than some of my friends who earn 1.5x/2x as much

>using their truck
Wew.
Take pictures of the truck often.
They will blame you for its condition.

get out. my biggest mistake was re-upping for two more years instead of getting out after my first four. those last two years were in a pre-deployment cycle so i was busy as fucking and wearing myself out. As of today i've been out a year and five months and it's been amazing. Going to school and working full-time is a little draining, but I can learn to enjoy it and make the most out of it because i remind myself daily that I could be on an aircraft carrier instead. Sweating my ass off, wearing down my body, stinking like a pig, eating shit food, dealing with shitty people, and sleeping in an area the size of a coffin.

tl;dr get out.

>work at dude weed shop
>make close to 23 an hour (including tips)
>benefits, excellent coworkers, company parties and outings all the time
>only downside is occasional faggot hippy or California fag who thinks their shit dont stink

Pretty confident it's "bring your own ride" for deliverymen.

Lighthouse attendant.

>It means not working for some fat rich fuck.
Work for yourself, problem solved.
>It means having time for myself.
Easily achievable if you put in more effort than the average replaceable cashier drone.
>It means going places when I want.
Then go, no one is stopping you. Or do you need money for that, yet expect it to happen for free just because you want it?
>It means spending time with people I love.
Also easily achievable. Ridiculously so, actually.
>It means doing things I want when I want.
So you want the world to bend to your whims, while contributing nothing in return. Strange how it's ok when you do it, but when people offer you money for something they don't want to do they're evil.
>It means not wasting my time with shit I don't want to fucking do.
You don't seem to want to live, so go ahead and jump off a bridge. No one is stopping you, user.
>It having time to learn this I want.
Apparently learning proper sentence structure isn't something you want.
>It means enjoy my life.
All on you, and no one else. There's billions of jobs out there that will pay you for extraordinary things that you could derive enjoyment from. You, however, are content to just sit and moan about how everything isn't handed to you for no reason.

You want everything in exchange for nothing, and it brings me joy to know that you are the sole cause of your own suffering.

Let me guess, near Cambridge?

They pay like shit anyway

He's probably not meeting cleanliness expectations.

5 hours

Reminder to always put in minimal effort because the more work you put in the more thats expected of you

So, anyone here working for the military?

I'm doing it just to get the experience so I can put it on my resume. I know fully well I'm underpaid, but I wanna learn a bit more before I resign.

Get a night job. I worked as a security guard at a university doing midnights and now I work at a jail as a C/O on midnights, and I literally don't interact with anyone except the guy who comes in at 6 in the morning to replace.

The job itself kind of sucks, but being alone all hours of the night is beautiful.

Welding or other trades are excellent jobs. Look into unions in your area and see if any are taking on apprentices.

>pizza delivery
I wish I had your experience user, it was by far the worst job I had. I worked at a local pizza place and we were always slow as fuck so I spent most of my shifts washing dishes and cleaning the kitchen or prepping ingredients, the manager was an absolute retard who’d yell at me for not knowing shit he never showed me and when someone hit me, totaling my car, the owner of the store revealed that he didn’t have insurance for his drivers and claimed it wasn’t common practice in the pizza business (absolute fucking lie). I almost took the faggot to small claims court but didn’t bother over a $2000 piece of shit car, and then he got cancer a few months later, which is based.

Never work in automotive industry brehs. It kills you quickly.

45ish hours a week of brogramming

it's pretty good, but my coworkers don't own anything except switch and xbox

>also graduated with an engineering degree
>only 2 real offers
The first sounded decent. Pay was shit, but the experience would have been great and most likely would have landed me another job easily. Too bad the guy just fucking ghosted on me. 2nd offer was awful. Pay was pretty good, but only because you worked so much. 100 hour work weeks. And when you arent at work you still end up staying on location in a trailer with another guy (you work 12 hour towers each get paid for 14 though). Also you dont actually get set days off. You get days off between jobs (like 3-4 days). which means you might be out there for 2 weeks or 2 months. Job was apprently easy enough as long as nothing is going wrong, assemble the tool and then send out surveys every so often. Guy interviewing me even said that i would have "plenty of time to read." Cherry on top of this shit pie is that it doesnt require a college degree, they prefer it. But why not since they arent going to pay more for having it...

TL;DR engineering might actually be a huge meme

Attached: download (1).jpg (512x384, 62K)

having met a lot of older dudes who pizza sling as their night job, it seems pretty comfy and a good way to earn money if you have a lot of down time. The only bad part is delivering to shit neighborhoods or getting surrounded by some nogs or mexicans who want what cash you have or whatevers in your car. All of those dudes that I know that work pizza delivery are packing in case shit goes down

Stop doing consumerist hobbies and start doing a hobby that improves over time. You either stay the course or start playing guitar. In 5 years you will be playing the same games, or playing something new, or you can play an instrument, or own an entire garden, or paint.

I'm trying to look ahead and plan 5 years ahead. I don't want to be playing the same fucking video games, I want to get good at something I can be proud of.

Nah, it's not around that Science park arena.

A lot of people start with that attitude, then suddenly you're 5 years down the line.

I worked in a Hotel at night, cleaning the dishes, setting up for breakfast and spending 6 hours sitting in a little office playing on my PSP and browsing Yea Forums.

One day a guy came in demanding a room, even though I wasn't supposed to take bookings at all. The guy was weird and sat in the next room to me all night, he was on the phone to somebody saying he had escaped from prison and he'd murdered his mother by pushing her down the stairs. which turned out to be actually true
When he barged into the office asking where the toilets are I showed him where to go and then I locked myself in the kitchen with the biggest knife I could find until the cleaner arrived at the end of my shift.

Don't believe the night work lies; nothing happens but when it does it's the worst version of a happening

>"work" 9 hours a day
>first half hour is just a coffee break and depending on how the day goes we're done at 1-4pm but can't leave early without using our saved up hours
It's pretty comfy but I just wish I could go home instead of sitting around

>Office Wagie
>Work 9 hours a day with no OT pay cause salaried
>Commute 1 hour to work and another hour back
>Sleep about 5 hours a night
>Eat/shower/misc tasks add up another 2 hours
That leaves me with 6 hours a day for vidya. Being a wagie is suffering.

>he had a pretty open distaste of muslim.

and that isn't clue enough that he would make up a stupid story where he pwns a muslim with pork and logic?

I'm a contractor for the Army down in Florida. It's pretty decent. The guys we support mostly leave work around 3 or 4 so no more tickets come in until the next day.

>too good for part-time
>not good enough for professional
I want to die.

I play at work for 1h+ everyday, 10-17 job

>Full time student
>Part time employee
>Work at a computer lab at nearby school
>Talk shit with the other lab assistant all day while he parsecs into his home PC to play video games

Now that I'm off until the Fall semester, i put some applications out there and got some phone calls back. I'll have my Associates for Computer Networking/Security in the Fall, but I'm really interested in Database administration/design. I'll take whatever I can get for the summer though, just gotta get that entry level shit down so I can more easily land positions at new places.

If I had to give any anons here any tips for interviews, always talk up your willingness/skill to learn new things, how resourceful you can be, and stress that you have initiative. Nothing frustrates employers more than people that finish an assigned task, and fuck around all day until their boss asks them to do something. I'm a 28 year old boomer getting into a new field, if I can do it, so can you.

Attached: REALLYbigsip.png (260x200, 38K)

I fell for the trade meme and am fucking miserable. I'd rather do retail stocking again for 1/3 of the pay

That's a big fucking difference. That extra money will absolutely offset the "stess" you feel. Just avoid thinking of work when off the clock, don't forget to enjoy your money.

I work about 40. I don't do anything intense, stock shelves, help customers with the occasional asshole. Flirt with qt cashiers and shoot the shit with the guys.
I have it pretty comfy for now till I start school again

I've been out of high school for 2 years and I still can't get a job, I've only ever been invited to an interview once but I wasn't picked, I went to an open application a few days ago but there were like 20 people there, anyone got any tips on how to get hired?

Any advice for a fag stepping into that industry with zero experience? I've got an A+ cert, network + and earning my bachelors. I've applied to literally hundreds of places with a few interviews but no work.

Can't really be bothered with any hobbies, after a day in work I just wanna sit on my ass.

40 hours a week and work four 10 hour shifts.
I work at an Amazon warehouse and I'm constantly on edge about getting wrote up over bullshit and been desperately looking for a new job but I have good insurance and getting $16/hour

>tfw just got a job at amazon in a robotic center
>10 hours. 2 days , break , 2 more days and weekend off.
Wish me luck

I was pretty upset when I was turned down a promotion twice for a lead position in retail. In the interim when the actual manger of the department was fired, I basically running the department for almost half a year. I don't mean to suck my own cock, but there were plenty of people who rerecorded me as well, some being managers from other departments. Instead, they promoted a dude with no customer skills who just started a few months prior and no management history and another dude which while a nice guy, had no real clue as to proper procedure (we deal with a lot of legal shit) and has straight up done illegal shit before. I was declined officially because I have to many "mistakes". Sort of no shit, since I'm the one doing 90% of the paperwork, so I might have six mistakes from doing five hundred, while someone else might have once mistake doing two. They also told me I had two major mistakes (one of which someone was terminated over) pending write up. Right after those two dudes were promoted, I was told that those write up? Nah, don't worry, they actually weren't your fault. Well, fuck why didn't you promote me then? And I still have to do lead responsibilities.

After a while, I was glad I didn't get the promotion. Tons of more responsibility, tons of having to deal with pissed off people, and only for a dollar more in pay. Fuck that shit.

ok, rant over. tl;dr, retail sucks

>Planning on selling the company in a few years
I always feel like it would suck to sell off something you've built off your own hard work and just toss it to someone else and forget about it.
But it seems like thats really the way to go about it to make the most money and actually getting to enjoy retirement early.
Start it up, get it running, find a buyer and gtfo. Good for you user. Im kinda jealous honestly.
I dont think i could do the same with the family business if it came down to it.

I work 50 hours a week. I get Mondays and Tuesdays off. On my job, I go in 4 pm to 10 or 11 pm.

Am I a wagie if I get an hourly wage plus good commission for every sale I make? I only work 25 hours a week yet make roughly 800-1000 per week on a good week.

8 hours per day
Mon - Fri.
Coming home so exhausted from this shitty job office I have no strength for anything. Even missed outa gym for a month. Quitting at the end of may tho, fuck that shit.

Why?

Is there truth in the statement: "There is no scriptural basis in Islam for blasphemy or the burka"?

Why didnt you call the cops you sperg

Wowee! I'm cured!

>He sleeps 8 hours a night

Lol what are you 70

Sink or swim because if you don't make rate each week they will get rid of you quick.

I take promotions because it's the only sense of achievement I get in life.

I'm always pumped for gaming when I get back from work, but in the end I rarely play anything. Fuck

Attached: 1553363390411.jpg (401x422, 9K)

Sorry, not american, it doesn't work like that here. You pay like fucking 500€ for course and then even more for certificate for a certain group of welding. And there's a fuckton of them.

between 30 and 40, depends on the week

I've been rejected by McDonald's before, depends on how many people are applying and how many they need to hire really.

I even had like 4 years work experience and they still weren't interested. If you're applying for an entry level job you just need to apply to everyone around you and hope for the best.

I'm at a machining trade school and we have like multiple mechanics in the class, evidently being a mechanic is mad expensive due to needing to buy a bunch of tools, plus it's pretty dirty work.

I also heard welding is dirty work and is a pain.

>tfw fell for the history degree meme
fuck my life.

I get paid about $9.50 and only work weekends because I'm a college student. I make way more money than I know how to handle desu.

that's my dream job

>800-1000 per week
Oh how the other half live.

It makes me frustrated when I see shit like this. Managed a small game store ages ago and I knew the pay wasn't great and customers sucked but I wasn't going to take anything out on employees. I was honest, treated them with respect, like adults, and in turn I had pretty great employees. Some bad apples, but it happens.

Attached: 1358673632653.gif (460x345, 492K)

Well he never communicated or showed any hatred before that story/event and it's pretty low-key distaste even after. Not like he's parading with a burning arab flag. he's just cracking a couple muslim/arab racist jokes here an there between friends and like to tell that story when "Shitty customers" topic gets brought up.

What trade are you in? You can always try something else.

>casino industry
>$21/hr
>bankers hours/days
cool. if i get a wife and a kid, then lifes basically complete.

No one else can cure you, it's up to you to get over yourself. That's why it's hilarious when people like you cry relentlessly about how unfair life is and how you're suffering.

buy land in Venezuela

Don't worry about getting written up, worry about automation taking your shit away.

enlisted air force. there's some good and some bad, but overall im enjoying it. the 4 year experience will be pretty useful if i decide to get a job outside of the military after the end of my contract. only have 19 months remaining

Parasite.

You actually need less sleep the older you are

We had a presentation class and although I thought I did good enough I was getting C's in every assignment. I couldn't tell if the proff didn't like me but then I was seeing guys who were stoned in every class get As and it dawned on me that I just aren't suited for it. I wasn't even THAT quiet, god it makes me bummed but at least I passed. A diploma is something at least.

>get a job in IT
>expect people with similar interest
>all my coworkers are older tubro normies who i have nothing in common with
>even my most normie interest they've never head of(e.g. jre, rick and morty etc)

I dont think i've spoken to any of the about non-work stuff for more than 1 minute and i've been there for 2 years

Jesus Christ are you all fucking bottom of the barrel burger flippers? Get a fucking career you failures

Because I'm literally a sperg

if you're desperate for a job where the qualifications are being able to walk around and say a sentence, consider pushing carts at a grocery store

>get to see crazy shit happen in the parking lot
>fights, robberies, fires, arrests, you don't have to do shit but tell someone inside
>get tipped constantly by old ladies when you help them load something heavy onto their cars, supervisors don't care
>get fit walking several miles a day
>get an hour of lunch halfway into the shift with 15 minute breaks every 2 hours

The right amount of autism can get you places.

A STEM degree doesn't guarantee a job.

>Work in 3D Product Visualization, basic 9 to 5
>Great money
>Really fast at my work and no one bugs through out the day, actually just fuck off on the internet for about 5 hours
>Come home and fuck off more
>Go back to work the next day and do it again

I was one of those idiots who wanted to work in the Game industry until I actually saw how bad it was, then some company picked me up to make imagery for their website for them.

Its pretty good.

Attached: 1354790.png (706x532, 325K)

Is is true? Because I've been sleeping for at least an hour or two longer than I was years ago.

Few months ago I got a job with my state’s unclaimed property division and am loving it. While one of my duties is answering the phone and assisting people with their claims, 95% of them are courteous and grateful for my help. There’s no micromanagement, so I work at my own pace and the days actually feel shorter than when I just worked five hour days doing political survey calls.

If you really can't find a job and don't want to go military, then find a volunteer position to get experience. I'm a volunteer EMT, and they paid for my EMT education. I could become an EMT fulltime now if I wanted, since I have the experience, education and references. I don't actually want to do it full time though, since I like my job and get paid more than EMTs.

Point is, volunteer.

One of the dudes I volunteered with was a welder. He said he made good money and just started his own company.

work on machines. its comfy. some tipped people with no education make $28+/hr.

Could be I was overqualified.

real as fuck

In my experience (NPI), the automotive industry is the most hypocritical "do as I say, not as I do" industry ever. Fake ass quality standards that are never respected but you still have to bust your ass in the PPAP and "run and rate" audits to meet them. One time we worked almost a week straight (we only went home to sleep and come back) to get the line and all systems up and running for a new product, the customer visited and our management direction was: bypass the kanban reading system to meet the 85% efficiency required. Fucking ridiculous.

I've been living the NEET life for about 5 years now, disability allowance lets you live well, but at this point I am bored and am going get training in IT and computing because there will always be jobs for those, even if it is a pretty cutthroat field, I just don't want to study for something useless
at least I know a bunch of people who will reference me and lie about shit on my resume despite never having done any work, so I won't look like I've been sitting on my ass all these years and can pin it on medical if necessary

user, 30k isnt enough to live in NYC.

Enjoy your 5 room mates or closet home.

You americans have it really nice. Just enlist and that's it. Paid, fed, sheltered. Nice. Here you have to take several tests before they even consider to accept you. And then the goverment complains that we have too few of soldiers.

I work 40 hrs a week usually, in a factory. I usually play for about 2-3 hrs a day before work since I work nights. On weekends I sit in, drink and play vidya some more.

I'm off for two weeks after this week and I'm hoping Mortal Kombat drops in price some more so I can justify buying it.

>so good at cooking now that I can literally walk into any restauraunt and get a job in minutes
>but working in a restauraunt is shit, pays awful and has no advancement opportunities
guess i'll keep applying at tech companies with my shitty diploma

Having to work at all means you're a poorfag failure sweetie

Imagine having to work instead of having capital work for you

Look for a new job before you quit so you can have a smooth transition process

30k in NYC is below minimum wage. Idk why you're being smug about getting paid so low

I get anxious not doing anything

I'm kinda in the same boat, except my problem is that everyone is fucking married and has a kid, so whenever they start talking about their wives and children I just sit there.

Whats a good degree to get these days? CS? I figured way too many people are going to school nowadays.

I got inbound stow , they showed us a video seems easy enough and im fairly athletic

7AM to 5:30PM
Kinda hyped

You cant just do that though, you have a duty to find out what you are eating (at least ask the people who sell it)
Tell your co-worker that ignorance isn't an excuse when you can find out
If someone sticks bacon into your sandwich thats a different story

Are you illiterate? Just for the summer, moron. It's 10 weeks. If I come back after graduating law school starting salary is 180k

What are some jobs where time seems to pass really fast?

>Finished college in 2009
>worked a grand total of six weeks up to the present day
ask me anything

Attached: islep.jpg (311x260, 35K)

I mean a year isn't going to make much difference to how much sleep you need and sleep requirements vary between person to person, but yes generally the older you are the less sleep you need.

summer is only 1/4th of the year

yeah i know. I just see a lot more openings and schemes for them. Core subject or humanity degrees are so wishy-washy. It's just another point on my CV.

camwhoring

Degree?

I spent 6 months NEET after getting my STEM, then a year and a half working in a secondary school as a Science Technician.

How do you afford anything

I guess I should have been more precise, it's 30k for the summer alone. 30k for 10 weeks sorry for freaking out on you, looking back on my post it wasn't clear at all

Anything you enjoy doing

Understandable, but I need a goal. Also playing guitar was a lot more fun than I thought and it becomes quite addicting to just learn your favorite song.

something where you're too busy to think about how much time is left

Whatever you want. Unless you need a specific degree for a specific vocation (you aren't going to be a doctor without going to medical school) it doesn't matter. It's more about the prestige of your university and connections. Actualy subject doesn't really matter.

yea i had to take several tests before enlisting, and i still have to test while im enlisted.
i have to be able to do 33 push ups in a minute, 42 sit ups in a minute, and run 1.5mile within 13:36. and these are just minimum, i usually do more than 50 pushups/situps and run 10~11 minutes 1.5mile. and then theres more testing like technical schools and such

>work at amazon
>get paid $15/hour to sort packages weighing less than 50 lbs from a conveyor belt onto racks
not bad desu, they have heating/air conditioning and don't care when you go to the bathroom (unlike what everyone says), and we almost always get done 30 minutes to an hour early and get paid to sit around i the break room until we clock out

Pray you get a good waterspider and nice manager that will actually help you and doesn't play favorites (they all fucking do). If you get good your job after a couple months try to problem solve ASAP.

I'm looking into a trade, which one are you in?

There isn't one really, so many people have degrees even 'good' jobs are competitive to get in on.

Are you expecting anything different?
If you want successful people go to facebook or reddit.
Yea Forums is the bottom my friend.

It's not like I'm not working, retard. It's just funny life is all about working.

Web developer at a webshop, 40 hours a week. mostly 3 hours a day left playing videogames except for the weekends

what do you do with all of your free time? Videogames and internet, I assume, right? How do you never get bored?

How do you make enough money to live off of with no job?

Hard to say, I worked a lot of jobs that the 8 hours days took forever to go by.
Current job I have 10-12 hours days that we sometimes get go by super fucking fast.

I'm a NEETcuck now but I used to work anywhere between 60 to 70 hours a week.

No time for pastimes was literally pushing me into insanity and psychosis; weak I know.

>100 hour work weeks
>also literally having to live at your job
No way this is real... Like how the fuck is this possible? You would have zero time to do anything else. Like some dystopian future job where people literally live at their work. Anons been reading too much cyberpunk shit

2555 days without sex here
But I have nutted an estimate of 3300 times in my life

My bad, that's actually a pretty good deal

That's actually not true. To enlist you need to take the ASVAB, make sure you haven't committed any felonies, and not have any non-waiverable health issues like cancer, AIDS, or autism. Then you have to pass BCT, which still isn't difficult but some people do manage to wash out. But yeah, once you do make it in the benefits are pretty decent for any young adult.

80 plus hours a week.
I play Vidya while I'm at rest stops, and while I wait to unload. Play a bit when I get home. I do my bulking of playing on weekends.

Between 50 and 60 hours a week, depending on what’s happening with my job. I get my gaming in usually about 30 minutes prior to going to work and an hour to two at night. I get most of my gaming done on weekends though.

Unionize, cuck

Work as a Secondary Teacher. Where I am I literally never run out of work so I can work a year or two somewhere, do part time work for a while and find another full time position when I want to save more money to travel or something. It's fucking great.

My ex put on all of her resumes that she didnt have a drivers liscense and relied on her mom or dad to get her to work. She asked me why no one was calling her.Told her to lie about that.

miss me with that commie shit

Half the thread is talking about careers. Where do you work anyway.

a busy restaurant, during peak hours you will literally never have time to sit down or think and will only be working.

Work 40 hours a week as an animator.
$21.50 and hour.

Weekends off.

Maybe average 1 hour per week night. 10 hours over the weekend. So only around 14 hours to game, which actually seems sufficient these days.

>Work 30-35 hrs a week at grocery store
>Contemplate suicide every shift
>Get home and play vidya for hours and forget it
>Maybe put a hopeless application for a professional position
>Repeat

Honestly it's pretty believable because the average Tariq knows shit all about the actual faith beyond being a hateful mong. I never met a single other muslim who knew that Jesus is a prophet equal to Mohammed in the Quran.

t. apostate

Help me out, I want a job that is
>relatively stress free
>quiet and largely solitary
>no degree required (I have one but it's worthless)
>not a driving job

Right now I work night audit at a hotel. It's okay but because it's at the airport I get more customer interaction than I bargained for. Every hotel I've worked at has had its quirks and this one is the best so far, but I'd like to take the public out of the picture entirely.

You have all the time in the world to play games with 8 hours of work.

>cinema staff
>9.50$
>average 25-30 hours, 3-4 shifts a week, 2 on weekends and almost never on Monday
>specialize in closing shifts because I'm a nightwalker
>this means I rarely work before 5PM
>and I'm indispensable because no one else likes cleaning bathrooms after midnight
>3 days off every week frequently in a row
Plus on average I get up at noon so I usually get a few hours of vidya before work.
Yes I live with my dad but my parents divorced years ago and the initial years were spent with my mom so we're catching up on lost time, plus we're convenient for each other since I do shit he's too old/lazy to do and he provides a roof with internet.

New York?

>life is all about working.
I guess it does seem that way when you want everything in return for nothing.

I work in a public accounting firm. I'm the literal wage slaves of all wage slaves, working 12 hour work days regularly during tax season.

I want out of this but it's too early to quit. I've only been here 6 months.

Attached: ununn2.jpg (500x750, 163K)

I sit at a desk for 9 hours a day (1 hour being lunch) and shitpost inbetween phone calls from car salesmen who managed to break their PC.

If there's a game I like, I'll manage to work in 6-8 hours an evening playing it. If it's on Switch I'll even play during the later night hours when I'm one of the only people left in the office.

>"I don't know what I'll do, I don't like talking to people and I'm not athletic"
>"I guess I'll go into computers!!"

Wow, that's pretty shitty. Do you have experiences on other kind of industries?, or just the automotive one?

This is only true if you're so much of a beta that you take promotions with no raise.

Almost nobody gives a fuck about certs. Degree is mostly useful for getting you through HR screening. At some point you'll have to actually learn to code - /g/ has some good resources, but the most important part is to just start building things.

Git gud at the interview process in your area, whether it's whiteboarding or take-home tests. Learn meme languages (examples: typescript/golang/kotlin/python) and technologies (examples: kafka/cassandra/react) that are up-and-coming so you can put them on your resume. Be aware that the skills required to get a job are not the same skills required to keep it or be good at it.

Be prepared to move to a cramped American shithole if you want to get paid a meme salary.

Take the quiz at triplebyte.com/ and use it as a baseline for understanding what a good software engineer looks like and where the gaps in your skills are. You'll probably fail it, which is fine.

Do internships. They're really important.

What degree do you have? Honestly with all those requirements you arent probably going to find it without a decent degree or some connections (probably will need both)

Be a security guard.
Make sure you get the night shift. I use to do that and I'd bring my laptop, and switch with me and play Vidya all night, while checking cameras.

Easiest money ever.

pretty much

37 hours.

I'm on flexitime so I work roughly 10 hour days Monday to Thursday and then don't need to go in on Friday.

Only play games on the weekend, but I'd rather do that and have 3 days rather than try to just squeese in an hour or two each night.

I work for a small business, so I bring my own ride. I think some more corporate places like Dominos might have company cars in slightly more urban places, but even the chains by me have the drivers bring their own cars.

I keep a hatchet in my trunk for whenever I deliver to bad neighborhoods.

So who is going to make the next thread?

Programming is legitimately one of the worst career fields.

>mocks others for working jobs that fill Shekelberg’s pockets
>constantly consumes, directly filling Shekelberg’s pockets
wattafaggot

>tfw you're set for life
haven't worked since 2009

Attached: 3253546.jpg (197x190, 29K)

Usually work 40 hours a week.

I usually set week days into themes, Monday is movies and a pizza etc but I usually play vidya for about 2-3 hours a time, weekends I get free so I probably spend 20ish hours a week.

>Coworker 1 is a big fan of music and knows his shit. Also a legit artist that sells painting. Oddly really into mexican culture for a nonmexican (Luchador, sombrero, extra spicy food, etc.). Is a very swell guy, but not into vidya.
>Coworker 2 is more than twice my age, married and we have zero common interest. She has a lot of fun little stories, but no chemistry
>Coworker 3 is a huge faggot that's been working here longer than anyone and use this as a power trip. I usually just fuck off and do what she tells me to do.
>Coworker 4 is a young lady (5/10 at most) that's more interested by social media than anything else. Her girl friends often comes see her during the job and that's at least 30 minutes she just doesn't work. She broke up and came back with her boyfriend twice in a month.

25-30h a week. Home designer.

By being a psychopath

I want to get into wielding because of the demand and pay. In the military they'll train and lay you but it's 4 years of your life. Should I just go to for an apprenticeship?

Btw I'm Suicidally depressive and have taken anti depressants before but they don't need to know that.

I want this thread to continue and not die

Quran states you don't go to hell if you eat it while not realizing, so your friend is a liar or the muslim didn't even know his own religion

if you don't know how to talk to people in 2019 you're not going to get hired at any tech company anymore.

>Public accounting firm
One of the big 4 I take it? I graduated with an accounting degree and contemplated working at one of those as well. But everyone I ever talked to that worked at one of the big 4 would tell me about how much of a miserable soul destroying experience it was. So I said fuck that shit and went directly to industry. It's much comfier, pay is pretty decent, and I barely have to do OT.

>set for life
>waste it on Yea Forums
How sad.

Is 300$ a day considered wagie Yea Forums?

Which is hilarious because a huge part of IT is support and you absolutely have to know how to talk to people.

>Just learn a trade bro
Oh yeah I'm LOVING these 12+ hour workdays with 1 hour commute times from home to the shop.

Get home. Eat dinner. Go the FUCK to sleep. Great.

Attached: 1546666306864.png (241x234, 121K)

you're that fat dude reading the comic in the heist movie right before they take millions of dollars from the vaults, based.

Make a new thread and link it here user. It doesnt have to die

Same, I'm so terrified and any information, even from Yea Forums helps.

I left my program and now I'm in debt and have no future unless I take a trade and I can't decide on what to do yet.

Sometimes I travel, but there's no place like home

Attached: 345457568.jpg (750x479, 42K)

Have you thought about ending your parasitic existence yet?

You take home a grand a week from just a couple shifts a week as a resp therapist? What country?

I have worked 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for going on 3 years. I have a couple hour break in the middle of the day but I am on call for it. Actually having a complete hour to myself is rare. The active shift is 14 hours typically but I am on call all night as well.

Unforunately I cannot quit this job.

My request for one day off a month has been denied.

I can say with great certainty that human beings were not meant to live this way.

I know automotive, machinery and electronic components. Machinery was alright, I used to work for a John Deere manufacturing plant and, since they have succesfully integrated a lot of their supply chain to eliminate "tiers", there is not a lot of stress.
Electronic components I just started 2 months ago so I don't know a lot of it.

>just work nights as a security guard bruh, you get to play vidya and watch anime!
I wish you people would stop with this meme.

Which trade though. Wielding? HVAC? plumbing?

where's the balance between free time and work time
how did I do this shit as a kid

success is relative user, if folks are happy where they're at and not draining on others then let 'em.

Nothing wrong with flipping burgers

how many hours? because if that's 8 hours, or even up to 12 with OT, that's not a wagie job, that's really good pay.

Seek out apprenticeships first and make the military your last resort.

Fencing.

I'm pretty sure it's the later. Friend isn't a liar and even comes to me often to get shit off his heart. I also talked about it with the cashier at some point so I doubt they're both muslim haters.

What job fag

I miss my high school roommates dearly, I wish getting married and settling down in your own house wasn't such a meme. Our best times were spent with our ladies all together in one house like a family who you can actually stand. rip those days...

are you me?
also work at the cinema. earn the same money and do the same shit. last shift and I'm responsible for accounting daily finances and close shop. super comfy job but I don't see any future with a wage this low plus cinemas are dying in my opinion. currently trying to learn a trade but i'm being rejected left and right.

Paramedic?

What the fuck kind of job is that? A doctor or something?
Even those most get a bit of time off, right?

I'm night shift security. The real issue is the lazy cunt that I live with. She drains fun and energy from me.

This cannot be real
What do you work?

Attached: IMG_0255.jpg (402x555, 102K)

Have you tried not getting a shitty trade job?

Was she atleast hot?

...

Excluding pay, yes, it's bad. Programming itself is fine but doing it full time at a big company is awful.

Including pay, it's one of the only remaining ways to ascend from wageslaving into godhood.

It's not that unusual if it's not a year round thing.

I've got pals who work on the rigs and they're out there for 2 weeks, literally only not working while they sleep and eat, then off for 2-3 weeks.

>but I am on call for it
Why is this shit allowed?

>here's ur free time bro
>remember we can fuck you over at a moment notice tho lmao

>neet for 6 years
>slowly having to somehow afford shit I can't
>hate the thought of having a regular shit job that's borderline slavery and will keep me stuck doing something I hate for my entire life
>panic and apply for college in something I want to do
>get an offer for a higher degree than I applied for
am I gonna make it, Yea Forums?

>trade job
>Not shitty
Pick one
