Gerudo desert

>Gerudo desert
Holy shit this area is fucking awful and tedious. Some of the least fun I've had in gaming.
Also, when do the enemies stop being 90% bokoblins?

empty desert areas are always awful, I don't understand why devs keep doing them

Sand seal surfing is entertaining as fuck though.

FOUR
ENEMY
TYPES

Molduga are fucking fun to fight though.
Plus they have the best boss music in the game.

Fucking loved the desert. Great atmosphere, sidequests, seal surfing is fun, fun fight with Molduga.

There's definitely more than that.

>Chuchu
>Bokoblin
>Moblin(?)
>Walking tank
>Helicopter
>Wizard
>Octorok
>Biggest goblin
>Molduga

Probably more I'm forgetting.

wait what
I'm seriously about to drop this game, it's so insanely overrated

Lynels

this, I thought that region was the best part of the game

Also skellingtons

Imagine thinking this game is above average in any way

shut the fuck up snoy, you can't win.

you are now aware that 50% of all posts on Yea Forums are made by viral marketers, and do not represent the opinions of actual human beings. do not trust anything you see on the internet.

I mean I can understand why someone would not enjoy the game as much as I did, but for me it honestly was the greatest game I've ever played.

Just because something is not for you does not mean it's overrated. The good reputation and reviews are well earned in this case.

What? But that was one of the most fun areas in the game for me. The sand surfing made the desert a minigame and the Molduga enemies were kino. I thought Death Mountain was the most boring once you got over the lava gimmick.

>drops game over the first shitpost that he sees
I think you just want to shitpost instead of playing video games.

Keese and elemental varieties
Small Walking Tank
Medium Walking Tank
Big rock guy and elemental varieties
Small rock guy and elemental varieties

Lizard
Bats
Big Rocks
Small rocks
Ninja
Giga Ninja

I didn't get it because of Yea Forums, I'm borrowing the switch and games from my brother
I wonder why people post stuff like this
I disagree, I think the world is extremely empty and the enemy and combat variety is insulting. The healing system also sucks ass, cooking is just a timesink and letting players heal by pausing the game is so lazy.
There's also like 3 melee weapons, and all of them have a very small moveset.

Melee Ninja
Ranged Ninja
SWOLE Ninja

the graboids in the desert are the best part about this game

>People say Moldugas are fun
>Can't remember which enemy they are
>Google it up
>This video pops up

WTF guys. I finished the game without fighting a single fucking Molduga. I never even knew an enemy like this existed.

Why is this game so kino and full of stuff you can miss?

I'm several hours into the game, have defeated two divine beasts and I'm STILL fighting the same boring bokoblins and moblins 90% of the time. when does the variety pick up?

Well, there are some quests in Gerudo City that ask you to retrieve some Modulga remains. The fight is pretty intense too

What did you never go exploring the desert? They guard most of the interesting landmarks in the further reaches.

A cool thing about Moldugas that this guy doesn't do in the video is if their eyes are underground and they're hunting you, you can stand still and roll a round bomb down a hill and it'll peel off you think you're the rolling bomb and eat it
They track vibrations on the sand, not off sight. Of course if they're swimming with eyes out that trick stops working

>I disagree
You disagree with my argument which was that "If you don't like something it does not mean it's overrated."?

Because none of the things you mentioned I never paid any attention to or found any fault in playing the game. And the game has LOTS of people who HONESTLY like it.

I personally think BoTW is a pinnacle of game designs and will affect the way games are designed for many decades to come.

You sound more like Dark Souls or MonHun kind of guy and those games are in their own category in how they do stuff (I personally don't enjoy them).

No, I disagreed with it not being overrated and deserving every reward it got, not that particular statement.
Also, I don't see how BotW will affect anything considering it's a product of other gaming trends. What new stuff did it do?

What the fuck are you talking about? I meet those fuckers constantly, only bit of variation I had was the red ninja dudes and that was a shitty stealth section

>t. falseflagging snoy

>it's a product of other gaming trends. What new stuff did it do?

It took the good things about the trends and discarded the bad ones. It did everything it did really well. The things are really well designed in a way that you don't even think about it.

I think prime example of this is the world map design. They did not want you just running after a quest marker, which robs the player the feeling of exploration, so they designed the WHOLE MAP following this philosophy: No matter where you are, you should always have multiple points of interest visible to you.

This means no matter where you are in the world, you should always have the next point of interest where you are travelling to.
