The no bonk badge is your friend for the early part, because you'll need to compensate for your lack of jumps with scooter distance and running up to where you need to be, like user said, short hopping with the ice cap is crucial for a couple of parts, but I fucking suck at it, so here's some extra advice: You don't need to ice jump the rocky stair that lead to the piano, just run off the rides and you can wall run up them (that takes finesse though), the distance your grapple hook takes you is based in part by the initial position you were in when you first used your hook, this is important because (if you finesse it) you can skip two of the the three platforms that lead to the flaming hoop jump, by riding your scooter off the edge, and just barely grabbing the second hook instead of the first. It's tough, but riding the second hook will give you just enough distance to skip the platforming. The rest isn't as bad.
Holy shit I wish they added some basic multiplayer modes, like capture the beach ball or king of the rumbi.

I might be inaccurate on the name, but Mustache Girl originally came from an island a kilometer away from Mafia Town that is inaccessible in the final game, and Mafia Town was formally a part of the island region where she at the very least constantly traveled too, but based on her having a hideout in Mafia Town, it was probably just changed to her always living there.

There aren't really any other NPCs in Mafia town aside from the Mafia, her, and the old men that the Mafia abuse. What happened to everyone else can be left up to interpretation but they're probably dead. With that said, I had said that everyone has a mustache not because of additional female NPCs, but because I believe one of the developers had mentioned this themselves that everyone has a mustache where she comes from.

They're kinda funny but it's true Mafia Town is lacking in notable characters. The Mafia Boss appears like once and then he's a jar, and then there's only the guy with glasses but he never gets developed. Compare to the Conductor and DJ Grooves who have actual personnalities and goals or to fucking Snatcher who has that and some deep lore. Now that I think about it no character in the game even get close to being as developped as those 3, even Mustache Girl disapears for the whole fucking game after Mafia town.
There's literally an achievement for murdering several members of the Mafia by pushing them off precarious places when they're minding their business.
What's really messed up is you can see some of the inhabitants already having been hung to death by these nooses. That's how I knew what would happen if I grappled that thing before it even happened.
You can't really blame the director, imagine idiots like the folks at kotaku getting thrown that bone.
