Left makes most sense and looks nicest

Agree, the others, well, unless they have the compatibility with the joy-cons I don't see profit on them.
But the left one, uhm, what would happen if the control breaks?

>putting analog directly under buttons where you can bump it

is this a nintendo thing? i haven't owned a nintendo console since 1995

I would love the right because I think all portable consoles should be clamshell, but would those circle pads push in or would R3/L3 be moved to the shoulders?

They don't reach that far.

Left, but I would love to see a version of the right. I liked the clamshell designs of the DS and 3ds.

Right looks like it will be more comfortable to hold
Especially when you are sitting without any support for your arms

Right, but then detachable with a USB C connection so that the screen could still fit in the dock.

>non-detachable joycons
Terrible idea.

None of the aove, just make it a regular switch with a reinforced joycon connection.

Integrated joycons would break several games and totally misses the whole point of the system.

>non detachable joycons

Say it with me. There will never be a switch revision with non detaching joycons.

Clamshell is the most realistic. You can't shrink the main Switch tablet any more without introducing heat issues.

How likely that ninty will announce a new switch model at E3?

Switch Pocket/Lite/whatever isn't supposed to be a replacement for the original Switch. It's for people who just want a modern handheld since 3DS is dead. You'd theoretically be able to pair joycons you bought separately/already own with the thing.

the one with a well placed charge port is my only answer

It shouldn't be any, but the 3rd if I had to pick one. You don't want a mini, a smaller screen and no detachable joycons is a downgrade from a regular switch, and who would want a downgrade instead of an upgrade?

>You don't want a mini
Speak for yourself. The PSP was the perfect sized handheld.

Pretty much this, the biggest problem so far is the flimsy and weak joycons and their associated issues from using them while in handheld mode. The damn things are made to weaken from normal use and lose their grip with the rail.

a switch with no detachable joycons is like a wiimote with no motion controls

So like a Wii u?
