CRT Thread

Why haven't you taken the CRT redpill yet user?

Negro, I have a 55" OLED TV. You really don't know what quality is until you experience a game with 4k HDR and true, perfect blacks.

>He actually fell for the 4K gaming meme

Dumb zoomer

Wow such good gameplay with input lag

>he thinks 4k is a meme
Dumb poorfag

It literally is

I would if you could still buy one that isn't a 20 years old used junk.

Game sauce?

Nobody selling an old CRT in my area wants to mail it. And I don't own a car.

Because i took it already when I was a kid, it's time to move on now

do it, it is worth it

Just get one of these. Uhaul or the Home Depot sells them.

Have a crt with a psp go, Wii, ps2, PS3 (for media streaming old anime) hooked up, took that redpill awhile ago

I got this for free yesterday.
Co-worker said he had an old TV that he needed to get rid off and offered it to me. Said yes, got a bud to make a day trip to where he lived, and got this beast.
I bit off a bit more than I can chew regarding it's size, but it has component in so that kind of makes up for it. Need to find a proper spot for it
Need to fix some geometry issues but other than that it's great so far.
It's heavy as fuck so I don't know how I'm gonna move it.

Eve or adam I don't remember, the new versions

No, that's the point, I don't need 20 years old TV with screen size of my phone, I want a modern, 16:9 big TV/monitor that uses the technology. I have the space, just no one will ever produce that shit again.

But I'm already redpilled, OP.

Sony Trinitron reporting in.

>tiny meme CRT
>probably paid hundreds for it
lol nigger I found a perfectly good consumer Sony Trinitron sitting on the curb for free just last week

Are you me? I'm the one from Project M photo and it happened tha same to me, a girl was just giving it for free.

How well does an old CRT computer monitor work for PS1? Are they as good as TVs?

At least she was trying to find a home for it, this one was destined for the garbage if I hadn't manhandled it into my car. Trinitrons are fucking heavy, god damn steel frames inside of em.

So what are you gonna do with it once the nostalgia fades OP?

It never faded, if it does, I'll just throw it what else?

Good taste, good game user. You should try Legacy XP+ if you like PM. Its PM with more characters and stages. Really neat!

But i'm already there. Sony Trinitron reporting in.

I already tried it and it's awesome. But this setup will be in local tournaments, so I need PM 3.6 build.

Are there any affordable HD CRTs that don't cost/weigh a ton? I don't think I'd be able to see what's going on with an SD TV.

Lol sorry double post.

CRT give you radiation

CRTs are only good for non HD content
You're better off using a monitor a new flatscreen for modern stuff.

Based. Where's my third arm?

>I want a modern, 16:9 big TV/monitor that uses the technology
Were you alive when CRTs that big were around? Fuckers literally took up half the living room and had to be placed in certain spots of the house if you had a basement, because they'd fall through the fucking floor they were so fucking heavy.

>CRTs are only good for non HD content
>You're better off using a monitor a new flatscreen for modern stuff.
Well. Okay then, that's why I've not taken the redpill.

>they'd fall through the fucking floor they were so fucking heavy
Yeah, no. Even 50" ones wouldn't be heavier than your average wardrobe. The biggest we had before LCD became a norm was like 32-35", you could still carry it alone as long as you weren't a total wimp.

Only in american houses made of cardboard.

You don't even need to go that far, if you've got a big suitcase on wheels just stick it in there. I moved a whole ikea bed using my suitcase kek

4k makes zero sense if you sit a meter away from the screen, you are paying for pixels you'll never notice

its very hard to carry a 36" crt tv alone due to the size / awkwardness when theyre 220+ lbs
