this 100%. there should be more up close combat in smash bros. not to the point of tekken where two characters can stand next to each other and keep exchanging punches, but more characters that can do multiple hits up close without sending their opponent flying would be nice

Nightmare had stances in SC2. Eventually they gave those to Seigfried when they split the characters. SC2 Nightmare is still the best version of either of those characters though.

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if we got Mitsurugi as our next Namco rep. smash doesn’t even have a samurai character yet

Everyone assumes it would be Sans, but Frisk would make a better fighter.
She could make a really interesting character. Instead of actually attacking, all of her moves would be her friends coming out and attacking/defending. That means her movepool could be anything from the various characters in the game.
