Fucking hell these faggots aren't even skillful. I either just end up having to give them the win because all of my tiles are in play or they just luck shit me. It's hard to have fun in this game when you can some what guess what the hand someone has and know you are screwed.

>muh autism

in english it's flush and half-flush, blatantly.
furiten means you have discarded a tile that would make your hand win. But for that hand the only thing you can go for is terminal or honor in each meld, so you would have to drop both the 2s and the 8m for a 1/9/wind/dragon pair
thanks user
Play with a chart open/printed out and keep looking through it to see what you can go for. You'll memorize them fairly quickly that way.
>no yaku
>waiting on a single tile
>furiten presumably because you discarded a 2 bamboo at some point
If any honor tile, or 1 or 9, comes your way, take that and drop the 2. If you can double up on any terminal/honor it'll be a yaku.
Question. What is that thing on the upper left corner of my screen? The one showing a single tile and four covered tiles.
How do they affect my game?
Anyone know how this game was built, or where I could find out more about it? I'm curious how they're drawing the entire game through the canvas object
>tfw third every fucking game
they are dora indicators
Dora indicator. You start with one open, and add another for each kan that happens. The next tile in the sequence of the indicating tile is worth bonus points. So if you have the four of bamboo up there, the five of bamboo is worth extra points for each one you get in your hand. Remember that these dora points stack, so if you had 3 tiles all the same after kanning a couple of times, you'd have 3 times the bonus points. For convenience, any tiles worth at least one dora shine. Also, bear in mind that if one tile is in the dora indicator, it's one less you could potentially draw.
tfw ron'ing the same turn someone riichi's
post em
You don't translate stuff like pinfu ot tanyao and there's no reason to rename honitsu and chinitsu either. It's just a made up terms nobody uses. You should be able to memorize the correct word, it's not that hard.
pure luck and defense, no skill
Okay, so basically its bonus points that is getting triggered, but they don't affect my ability to complete a hand?
Are the tiles in the dora indicators drawn from the pool (meaning that there's like only 3 in the pool if one is in the indicator)?
Yes and yes.
what yaku are you going for when you have no wind or dragons tiles?
Thirteen orphans.
So can you lose ranks or do you just keep going down to 0?
Alright, then I know how to play around that thing as well
tanyao 1000 points
I go for riichi and pray someone kans and they do

Pinfu. Even if I have dragons or winds, even a pair, even a pair of my/round winds, chances are I'll be discarding them and going Pinfu. During the whole process I'll be laughing at brainlets who don't discard honors before terminals and any other useless tiles.
Pinfu is the God and Savior of all Mahjong players. You should let it into your heart and your soul before it is too late and you are way too lost to all the sinful yakuhai calls you've made throughout your life.
Are there any pro players that always keep their hand closed? I am just curious jf jt's possible to play like that.

concealed sequence only and a pair
arcturus.su
Closed hand, all sequences, plus a pair, and your final wait has to be open, so no 5-7 waiting on a 6, but 5-6 waiting on a 4 or 7.
all sequences, the pair is any tile that has no value in a trio so winds that are not the round or seat wind are ok, then the wait is on 2 sides, no middle or edge wait.
>no triples
>no wind of your seat or round wind
>closed hand
>your last wait has to be one of two different tiles, not just one (such as having a 1 and 2 and waiting on a 3)
gratz you are now pinfu master
It's not just possible, it's default for them to aim for riichi.
Hey you
yes you the one doing a pair wait

>*gets raped into negative points by a sanbaiman*

no
How can I set "auto call win" to be activated by default? It keeps turning itself off after every round. And yes, fuck getting your Ron stolen by some filthy catnigger calling Chii or Pon.
This is wrong, ignore this one
The last point is a bit misleading.
If you have 5557 and wait for 6 and 7, this won't be Pinfu - you wait on 2 different tiles, but the wait isn't Ryanmen.
But if you have 5556, for instance, while all other tiles form 3 sequences, and then you win with 4 or 7, this will be pinfu, because it forms a pair of 55 and (4)56(7) - the ryanmen wait. You still can win with 6 in this example, and then it won't be pinfu.
nice kans, hag
>And yes, fuck getting your Ron stolen by some filthy catnigger calling Chii or Pon.
That can't happen. If someone can ron a tile, it won't let a pon or chi call go through until you click or decline ron.
>fuck getting your Ron stolen by some filthy catnigger calling Chii or Pon.
You can't get your ron 'stolen'. Ron takes priority over Pon, which in turn take priority over Chi. If you try to make a chi, but someone still hasn't decided whether he wants to take pon, you'll see the game stop for a while to wait for his decision. And then he can press pon and also have to wait for a bit because the third guy has been keeping the timer ticking before he called ron on the last second just to fuck with everyone's minds.
What did she mean by this?
Well, there was a last minute haneman on hell wait, but luckily, I defended sufficiently and it was some chink who got the short end of the stick.

I'm currently in between these two lines of thought. I'm trying to go for max efficiency but I also would ALMOST rather discard both 1 and 2 over a lone dragon because I have far too much experience with getting cucked by edge waits.

Shitty terminals waits are worse than trying to get a dragon pair.
Better bet on riiching that sweet dragon wait for an additional han than riichi only with 98 waiting on 7.
Magic stat when? Skill system when?
Back to /vg/
how do you know what good starting hands are to go for specific winning hands like 13 orphans / chitoitsu / daisuushii / toitoi etc?
i remember reading something someone posted about toitoi where if you have 4 pairs in the first 6 turns and they are honor / edge tiles or close to edge (e.g. 88 99 north) it can be a good hand to try to get toitoi but i was wondering if there was similar resources for other hands
>Back to /vg/
>13 orphans
2 shanten hands
>daisuushii
>you'll never make it
surely if you started with 2 of every wind you would try to get it no? im asking what kind of hand you would need to start with to make it worthwhile or realistic to go for
>read the flow
what does this even mean
i didnt mean only those hands also i just mean in general, it could be for any possible hand
>13 orphans
Lots of terminals.
>chiitoi / toitoi
First, you need lots of pairs. Then check those pairs
>middle pairs, adjacent pairs (4455, 6677, etc) -> try getting iipeikou instead and make normal hand.
>separated pairs but with secured yaku and/or good amount of dora -> toitoi
>none of the above -> chiitoi
~7-8 tiles of one family and a few honors makes for a nice honitsu (half flush), unless the other family tiles make for good two-sided waits (in which case you should probably keep them)
Not many terminals? Try tanyao
Most of the time? Pinfu, or anything that lets you riichi.
Lots of terminals? Junchan (terminal numbers in every sequence) can be a good try. Especially if you can make it worth it. Remember, open junchan alone is worth 2 han (~2000). If one of the doras is a terminal, you can probably easily make it worth 3 han (3900~) which is good. Same if you can make a sanshoku (complete 123 or 789 for each family).
Best case scenario: open junchan + 1 dora + sanshoku. 4 han, 8000 points.
But really if you don't have a particular yaku in mind (like honitsu, toitoi, junchan), keep it closed and efficient, make a riichi. It'll most likely have pinfu too (because pinfu is what most efficient hands get) or a dora, making it worth it.
how many is lots though?
thanks
brainlet here, how am I in furiten here?
13 orphans can be considered with 9-10 terminals. With 9 you're most likely better restarting the round and hoping for a good hand, 10-11 gives you okay chances of completing it.
But don't bother too much with the yakuman
the game still isn't out on mobile is it? I imagine most people will play there.

Majsoul Friends Room 62165(4-Player South): mahjongsoul.game.yo-star.com
Let's go lads.
4-5-6p 55p 7-8p waiting for 6,8 p
You've got yourself a pretty neat wait that involves 9, which you discarded.
4555678 can wait on 3 (345678, 55), 6 (456678, 55), 9 (456789, 55), or 4 (44, 555678)
>surely if you started with 2 of every wind you would try to get it no? im asking what kind of hand you would need to start with to make it worthwhile or realistic to go for
It depends, realistically you can get shouu suu shi and that's it. You just need a lot of winds obviously, sometimes you have to hold your pons to collect more wind tiles, ideally you want to have 3 pairs and 1 of i guess.
>what does this even mean
It means you should observe the game and determine if it's a good time to go for chitoitsu. You can have 4 pairs from the start and never make it because the flow is favored for shuntsuba while you need toitsuba. On the other hand even 1 pair can be enough to know that you should go for chitoitsu.
>i didnt mean only those hands also i just mean in general, it could be for any possible hand
In general go for mentanpin unless you have a good chance to make something else.
>try to make pinfu for two entire games
>never even once happens

exceptions: there are no exceptions
Reading the flow isn't exactly an exact science. I'm not saying you shouldn't sometimes take a statistically weird decision (like going for chiitoi with 2 pairs, aka very bad odds) based on your instincts, but that's the exception.
You gotta learn the rule so you can know when to break them and what the exceptions could be.
So how do you get to draw for waifus? Should I just accept nyaggerdom?
thanks bros
u need yaku
Don't open your hand (ie. call) until you've learned the values of the different hands you can make. As long as you keep your hand closed, you'll always at the very least be able to announce a riichi will give you a legit winning hand, although it'll probably not be worth much if you don't know what you're doing.
>Please no one listen to this retard
Instead people should listen to a person who doesn't have any counter arguments and throws out random insults.
You have to memorize all yaku and gain experience. Mentanpin is like half of your games anyway. There are no clear patterns, you need to make this decision by yourself.
It's not about instincs when people just keep throwing pairs into their discards. Doesn't take a scientist to determine what's going on. That's what i meant by "reading the flow". That way you're statistically more favoured to make pairs or triplets so you can try chitoitsu or maybe suuankou.
>You gotta learn the rule so you can know when to break them and what the exceptions could be.
There are many exception to everything and i bet it will take a lot to describe them. You can only hava a general tips from people here, we are no pros.

Why do games against the AI end so fast while games against real players last for over 1 hour?
Learn tile efficiency, then. Discard all dragons and round/seat winds ASAP, before touching the lone terminals. Once you're done with them, locate at least 5 forms in your hand with at least one of them being a well-defined pair. From that, make that evaluation every turn, whenever you get a 14th tile, check whether it impoves one of the forms, and don't be afraid to dismantle and discard some forms that you have in favor of new ones. Pinfu is pretty much the most easy to tenpai hand because it literally builds itself.
we are more stupid
because real people sit on their draws for 30 fucking minutes before discarding what they literally just picked up and had nothing to do with their hand.

ANY ROOOOOOMS?
>Discard all dragons and round/seat winds ASAP, before touching the lone terminals
not really, fuck terminals.
every time i try to make hands i get cucked by some retard spamming 1000 point hands, so i have to be an open hand nyagger
Win streak for 5 games and now losing streak for 3...
>ippatsu nearly 10%
I'm pretty bad at math but somehow this feels really off to me
I made it out of bronze! But I have a question: if your points get low enough in adept will they kick you back out? Or am I permanently safe from bronze hell?
Sometimes people make ippatsu tsumo, which is why you'd usually chi the riichi tile to cut it off.
Sometimes people push and get ippatsu ronned (or they're in riichi and can't defend anymore)
10% is still seems hella high with how many tiles there are that you can draw
>call tiles
>looks like an obvious honitsu
>it's actually faux honitsu with a hidden off-suit dora pair
>call tiles
>looks like an obvious tanyao
>it's actually a single yakupai waiting on a terminal
>get into tenpai by turn 7
>riichi
>it's actually just a naked riichi
who /devilish/ here
With a double-sided wait, you can win on 1/17 tiles. If you don't count the honors, you can win on 1/13 tiles. Add in the fact that you have not only your draw but also other people's discards for the ippatsu turn and you get to somewhere near 10%.

Mad lads, get in.
bronze isn't hell. you're actually descending into it as you climb up the ranks.
silver is true hell
>called a dragon, tenpai waiting on 2-5s
>guy riichis
>draw 6m, seems super dangerous
>discard 4s to fold instead
>other guy riichis
>draw 4m, have to push not 100% safe 3s
>push it, now in tenpai again waiting for 5m
>other guy in riichi immediately deals red 5m
>8100 for pushing
>look at the replay
>he was actually waiting for 6m and would have ronned me if I had discarded it
Who /ultrainstinct/ here?
God I wash I can chankan one of these nyaggers someday.
>Not just calling it "DOUBLE NYAGGER"
That's great and all but I'd like to retain my ability to choose what hell I put myself through. So is there a possibility of me getting booted back to novice or not?
>bronze problems need bronze solutions
was he right, Yea Forums?
>Keep getting into Riichii early with good waits.
Open hand nyaggers keep fucking ronning.
I fucking HATE this game.
>Have a honitsu 4sided wait
>my wifi receiver fucking dies and I have to restart my computer
thanks for the riichi stick, hag.
>not really, fuck terminals.
Enjoy your Expert skill ceiling.
>Unless you literally need to have 100% efficiency all the time to even pass bronze.
If you're in bronze, forget about any theory, jump into tonpuusens and nyagger away. Seriously. When I started on MJS, I tried playing the way Tokujou lobby on Tenhou taught me, and got consistent 3rd place against nyaggers in full Hanchans. Once I went full retard mode, I was in Silver in a matter of several hours. Silver is still full of raging retards, but Gold is slightly better - it's somewhat below the level of Tenhou's first dan lobby. But starting to play like a sensible person, expecting other players to be at least somewhat sensible, gives immediate results in Gold.
>wants to play
>my internet is being an absolute nigger
It hurts bros.
IT KEEPS HAPPENING. IVE LOST 3 K POINTS FROM THIS.
lost my yakuman virginity, ending hanchan in east 3
>Enjoy your Expert skill ceiling.
Tokujou 5d 1950R actually
Grats dude
I kept trying to pull this off last night but ended up folding or going for seven pairs once I saw opponents discard two of the tiles out of the few pairs I had left in my hand
I SAID GET IN
OR IS THAT TOO FAST FOR YOU?

>going for seven pairs
i fall back to that way too often
Didn't expect that the way to avoid playing against retards was to become one yourself.
>No tips
>No red doras
>3+5s
gonna have to try a little harder than that, my dude.
At least 7 pairs allows you to defend somewhat
any rooms?
Yeah that's merely the way you beat retards in every strategy game ever made. Shocking!
I just wanted to play like in real life.
Fine, here's one with standard rules: mahjongsoul.game.yo-star.com
Playing while crossplaying as the characters is the hidden god level foundation of mahjong, especially as the character you use.

Well I watched those tournament streams and people take three seconds at most to make a discard.
And I assume it's not like in Akagi where every discard takes 10 pages.
>player riichi's on the 4th turn
>fuck it, my hand is terrible, there's no way I can build anything safely, time for betaori
>why do the dangerous tiles keep pairing?
>fucking stop, I'm trying to fold here, why am I in 1-shanten for chiitoitsu?
>why am I in tenpai?
>why did I get a ron off 1st place with 2 dora?
I can't fucking do anything right.
Useless discards take 1-2s, sensible discards (midgame) can take 5, 10, or even sometimes 30.
2/4
>East: 434
>South: 212
I should probably just stick to south rooms while I'm still in bronze.
If there is heaven then i will be there playing mahjong for all eternity
yeah, maybe if they're shit discards at the beginning of a game when you can instantly recognize useless tiles.
Chitoi is pretty much the only way an early betaori can end up tenpai. Don't underestimate it, but don't expect it either.
Don't forget to turn on a song like to somewhat help.

Never mind, I got a tsumo haneman anyway. Didn't know thatr happens if you disconnect.
I believe that is a bit of a generalization, but I'll take your word for it. Not gonna get out of bronze anytime soon if I don't change my strategy anyway.
good job talktocat gg
Reminder to not pon the first dragon/wind you see for it could be a great defensive tile later on or a good closed riichi hand for better value.
>tfw can never win last round's drawn riichi sticks
I want my free sloppy seconds, dammit.
Noob here. Why should I ever pon a wind that's not mine or the play one if I don't have other dragon/yaku wind at hand?
Telegraphing you're going for a quick yakuhai hand is a good way to make everyone else rush if you're already leading and you want small dick hands.
you can't quit the game, you play on auto discard, auto win call mode if you close the tab.
tiles left
are you saying that's not many? i'll hit riichi when there's at least 3 left
i don't give a fuck
You shouldn't, unless you're making a yaku with that wind, like honitsu (half flush), toitoi (all pons), or more rarely, chanta.
gg brehs
Honitsu, maybe. You shouldn't most of the time.
I play the game for the game and not because I need a skinner box, thank you very much.
jesus fucking christ i'm having the worst fucking luck of my life today.
I was trying to learn mahjong while playing it in Judgement. I fucking read rules in game, outside of it on sites etc.
Can't fucking get riichi once. I gave up. Dunno what am I missing.
Hehehe, I just won a match in the stupidest way possible. There was this one guy calling cheap hands the whole match and out of bad luck I ended up being down 15000 points on the last round. Well I finally get a decent hand with the potential of a mangan with 2 dora so I end up declaring richii. On the first go around the guy to my left randomly decides to kan and reveals 2 more dora for me, my hand ended up becoming a baiman and I won the entire match by 1000 points lol.
>Get up to 150 points
>back down to 80 after 3 unfortunate matches
I'm never gonna get to Adept at this rate.
How are people getting f2p summon rolls? I've been playing for a couple weeks and only have ~25 dust or whatever it is.
>tfw no 8p for sanshoku
Well, still baiman
>Keep getting free sex early.
>Nobody drops my tile
>Dumb fags keep winning with open hands.
Yeah,. my luck is pretty bad today too.
I lost 4 k points just from riichii alone.
Adjusting your strategies/tactics depending on the player(s) you're facing is how you reach divinity.

as far as i know the fastest way to do it is spam east games in highest rank you can get to to open boxes, then dust the gifts
There were some valuable gifts to claim as an apology for a server issue
just play in higher ranked matches
I have more chantas than toitois on my record. How do I gain the courage to pon?
Sure thing
Mahjong Soul Game Log: mahjongsoul.game.yo-star.com
does anyone have a yaku chart that actually has ALL the yakus?
check your pairs and the other ponds to know if you're more likely to pon those tiles you need than see another person riichi before you (so if they start throwing strong tiles like 34567 and or doras, they might be close to tenpai)
also consider what toitoi will leave you to defend with. It's not so dangerous if you have a closed triplet of good defense tile in your hands (like three dragons) that you could throw to defend once somebody riichis. If necessary you can delay a honor pon to keep at least 2 good defense tiles (that you might pon or draw yourself later)
It's a pretty subtle mix between danger assessment and how fast your hand can be. But never toitoi without at least one other han (dora, dragon)
Everything you need to know is there

how does the point deduction system work on tsumo?
thanks
someone post the chart with the intermediate player hole, i need to check where i'm at
i hate this entry fee system
even if im doing well and getting only 1,2 and 3 place im still losing money
Same amount as regular hands shared between all three other players. Dealer pays twice the amount.
So 8000 is divided as 2000+2000+4000.
If a dealer wins, each player pays the same, so in the above example, it's be 12 000 divided into 4000+4000+4000 (dealer gets 1.5 the points so 8000 became 12 000)

I've only ever gotten it twice. I've gotten ten times as many half flushes and half outside hands.

check out this absolute nyagger

beware of the double sunday
Remember the forbidden strategy for netplay - if you drop a nuke other players' countries, you automatically gain Nagasaki Mangan.
whats the difference between east and south games?
A double Sunday is not compared to the weekly special.
I swear to fucking god somehow someone always gets that on me.
Pinfu is the most natural form of hand. It won't happen all the time, but most of the time. Simply because sequences are easier to build than triplets, and because two-sided sequences (eg 45) are really good, if you're just being efficient, you'll probably end up with a pinfu.
south is twice as long as east, but it's effectively even longer than that because everyone playing in east try to spam quick hands
is there a worse feeling than getting cucked out of a yakuman
this motherfucker held onto it for 13 rounds
pull up your south stats
East is more luck based. In South, since you have twice as much hands, and cheap wins don't matter as much, there's more room for skill, danger assessment, and efficiency to win over that one faggot who got 3 doras one time
Your hand is obvious, dumbass.
no shit but like i'm not going to go for it, dumbass
>be that fucking obvious
>bawww I'm not getting dealt
Akagi disapproves
Why the hell would he deal this shit?
You should've gone for Shousangen instead. Deal that 6s and win with 456s. That'd be haneman.
The point is, he held onto it because you had two pairs of it. So why are you acting surprised about it?
>discard a tile
>immediately after realize I made a huge mistake
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Even Akagi disagrees with going for the Daisangen.
>So why are you acting surprised about it?
i'm not surprised he didn't deal it, but there's a decent chance of him dealing it because he didn't think i'd get that lucky
i also could have drawn it myself
Who here /waitingforuncensor/
>2 dragons pon by the same guy
>no dragons in the pond
Silvers actually do the right thing for once?
Is there a worse feeling than being East and quickly discarding something that looks worthless only to realize seconds later how big that piece was. The 5 second start isn't long enough goddammit.
Maybe if he had a really good hand and it was early in the round he'd deal it, but he had trash
>i'm not surprised he didn't deal it, but there's a decent chance of him dealing it because he didn't think i'd get that lucky
Absolutely NOBODY is that retarded. ESPECIALLY when it's 100% alive.
gg. Pity, my triplet dora chun can't show itself at that last round.
sorry what
post deal in rates
so if you get a yakuman off a ron can you literally just end the game in 1 round?
gg fellas
This is the closest I've gotten to 13 oprhans. Though I wanted to know where all the North tiles were
It was pretty obvious I was going for outside, but I was in tenpai for the record.
Guess I'll settle for getting tsumo'd to death.
Is this ranked or friendlies?
press the wall button so you can see how many were dead walled?
read the top left, it's in a silver room
Guys, not sure i understand this yaku.
If you pon, does it still work ? Or do you just have to not ron the last tile you need for a triplet ?
Japs aren't even allowed to play against westerners until gold room. Wouldn't want to scare off the potential new customers with actually good mahjong before they're good and ready.
Says silver room on the image
pon does not count, but your hands can be open.
You can't without red dragon either, I kidnapped all possible chun.
To be honest, not only will I not call, I'll go out of my way to discard the pair as my first move because it just generally makes my hand worse.
>just got thrashed by an expert in silver east
why the fuck are they even allowed in there?
Well fuck me, then. I can't even begin to understand what goes on in the minds of those idiots.
Practice in a slowpaced environment
gamedesign.jp
Here's mine. Just recently got 1st place.
I was missing the character 1. The odds were slim otherwise, since there was one more red dragon in the wall lol
yep
Chinamen will eventually leak into silver as they bash each other in bronze.
I hope everyone is playing proper mahjong
Nevermind, I'm not sure I'm actually reading this chart right
Well, that took just a few days.
>play mahjong online
>playing mahjong just because some generic anime bitch
lol weeb
Are you some nyagger in rehab trying to resist the pretty buttons?
You can pon but the only triplets that count for the 3 needed are the closed ones (which also doesn't include the ron).
So if you end up ponning or chiiing, the rest of your hand must be only triplets.
Also since the ron doesn't count as a hidden triplet, if you have something like 222 555 888 and 11 99, if you ron 1 or 9, it'll count as 3 hidden triplets instead of 4 (but you'll also have the all pons yaku). If you draw the 1 or 9, it'll count as 4 hidden triplets, for yakuman
>And it's a rinshan kaihou
>Nyagga dey ALL Chinese
Why the fuck JP want to play this shitty web browser mahjong, delusional weeb?
the best trump hand would be
2222s 4444s 6666s 8888s 33s
chinitsu suukantsu ryuuiisou
BUILD WALL
That call rate may be high, but I got good points out of it.
As someone who loves older strip mahjong games and has been wanting something new, what makes this one unique/good? I'm assuming there's no nudity, but that more recent style of just absurdly revealing clothing or whatever.
Is there animated stripping?
What even is it? A phone app?
why is it double though
Chanta is trash, replace it with Chitoitsu and Sanshoku.
that's a suuankou right? but why is it a double yakuman?
Tanki wait
>Implying a cat knows how to pinfu
CHII
RON
In addition, I don't open my hand for shitty 1000 points.
Pair wait.
god I miss old shitty anime art
There's a reason its in the extremely advanced section user
10 steps ahead of you.
I mean it's lower than a typical nyagger who are on the 60+% but your deal in rate is higher than your win rate so I thought you were reforming from a nyagger past.
No one said anything but you should know that was funny.
Suu Ankou is double if you're waiting on the pair (all 4 triplets are already in your hand) rather than having 3 hidden triplets and two pairs waiting to draw one of those two.
Probably because the former is harder to get than the latter.
>double yakuman = same points as triple
Certain rulesets make it a double yakuman if your wait in a single wait for the pair instead of a dual pair wait.
What the point of playing this? because anime?
It's on the East, so 1.5 times higher.
Try dealing in a bit less
personally i just like mahjong, I'm just happy there's a game people are actually playing for once
tenhou sucks though
The maid wasn't the dealer that turn. Fortunately
Double Yakuman is literally double the actual limit.
You're ALREADY doubling the limit at double.
you can finally understand akagi
imagine being retarded enough to discard the final wind in a situation like that
East pays and receives more points per hand.
Tenhou is better than Majsoul.
open riichi when
it says tsumo right next to the wind idiot
Imagine being so retarded that you don't know how to read.
Open riichi got banned in the 70s when people figured out that you should always just open riichi if there's another riichi on the table to massively increase your gains when the first riichi deals into yours.
>no cute girls

Burn in hell
No way I'm going to break my hand especially when it's worth a Mangan or better. I only break my hand on less worthy hands
>I only break my hand on less worthy hands
Then get used to having the tiles break over your ass as the other players spank and rape you.
what is an Ankou or An Kou with regards to mahjong? i've seen the word before and im seeing it again in this defensive strategy article
5. Break apart An Kous etc.... and cross your fingers.
>reading is hard
What's a faggot, i bet all of the faggots play this shitty game are all fucking weeaboo know nothing about mahjong too.
Mangan is usually a good push (if it's not too far away), but consider that even starting to fold could still get you a winning hand. If you start by throwing your pair or something, you might draw another and get in a better tenpai later.
Sometimes you gotta hog those dangerous tiles in your hand.
I'd want it as an option in my casual games though to style on people.
An Kou is the Jap term for a concealed triplet. It means a triplet that would be scored as "closed" when counting fu. The hands 3 and 4 Concealed Triplets are called San (3) and Suu (4) An Kou respectively.
the best defence is winning before they have a chance to
Reading isn't hard but some of the things he does is linked to, say, hands value. Like when he threatens Washizu with a Toitoi.
Ankou = closed triplet.
The reason why breaking an ankou is good for defense is because if one tile passes, then the two others will pass too, buying you 3 turns of safety.
>all fucking weeaboo know nothing about mahjong
correct
Start up a Riichi club, user.
Depends on the rankings.
If you're 1st and 4th place riichis, that's a great moment to fold. This way 2nd can't chase you.
>cats
>declaring riichi
