I think death as a whole will start getting vague. If you think about it we already levarage a lot of our thinking to machines, when we transfer to virtual worlds this will just keep increasing. And the human mind itself won't do much other than a few creative functions, at which point the actual brain activity will fall immensely. With more advanced medicine people's brains will probably be able to live in a vegetative like state for even centuries. And then the creative functions that your mind had could end up as algorithms that remain even if your brain physically stops functioning. So it will start getting hard to tell who's alive in the virtual world and to what degree they are alive.
