Since all of the CNK characters are in minus Fake Velo and Spyro I think is 100% safe to expect Spyro to be one of the last reveals right? There is no reason for him to not be in the game since Activision fully owns him and with the Reignited Trilogy people took more interest on him not so long ago.

Im still hoping for N. Brio and co to still be in the base game, they know people wants them and leaving them behind a DLC pay wall would be a dick move, they can have other characters like Twinsanity characters or even characters from Spyro behind the DLC paywall but not the originals.

Id say yes for Nina but not for the originals, I also would rather have the originals over Spyro because the game is called CRASH team racing, so for me Crash Bandicoot characters have priority.

desu Crash kind of took a nosedive during and after the PS2 era both in terms of quality in games and popularity.

The only reason Crash has remained somewhat popular was because the PS1 games and nothing else, everytime most people remembered the series was because they loved it as kids during the PS1 era and no mention to the PS2 games, specially the Mutants ones.

So if you take in account the first 3 games + Crash Team Racing there are a fair amount of girls, Tawna, Coco and the Trophy Girls mainly.

There being only one female character playable in the game it was make me have hopes for Nina, Trophy Girls and Tawna, because back then it was okay specially since there were less characters in the game, but now that all of the CNK roster has been added and still only one female character it feels really weird.

I hope they made the game a bit harder. On 7 round races you were often lapping NPCs by lap 3. That's the one criticism I had with the original.

Modnation Racers was great, it has it's problems and was not superior to other Kart racers in terms of gameplay but the build your own character was great and very deep with a lot of options, the same went for your kart and you could make great tracks.

A sequel where the gameplay problems and a more stable framerate were ironed out would have been great, but Sony already killed the franchise when they took the concept and put the LittleBigPlanet title over with LittleBigPlanet Karting and then made an atrocious port to the PSP and Vita.

frankly I'm happy that we got as much footage as we did considering how little shakycam PAX footage we got and we knew there were crowds there. From when I was talking with the Sony rep at my local store he even mentioned how at PAX there was a winner's podium that players got to take pictures on but literally no one took an actual picture of because it was at ground level.
