To me, BW was like Red and Blue where you were in a brand new region to explore and a kickass story where your rival who at first is mysterious turns out to actually bethe protagonist of these games and your trying to stop him, which makes you the antagonist.
Your rival actually wins the pokemon league and achieves his goal of getting the opposite dragon of your version (I chose Black)
And then B2W2 was like Johto in the sense of "Ah shit, here we go again" with ISIS in a pirate ship, character development, COLRESS, and a really badass Mascot Legendary. These were the perfect conclusion to the 2D pokemon games before Kalos ruined it.
Also, remember your rival from BW1? Depending on your version, he just straight up gives you a dragon as in "here you go bruh, it's all good"; What a fucking Chad
