I backed Superhot. I regret it because I lost my code and didn't get my fucking shirt.
On the other hand, I lucked out because Superhot is one of the best games that came out whatever year that was
>Grandroids
Still don't regret it. I knew it would be a long wait and the kickstarter is more just incentive to keep with it than necessary funds.
I backed Wasteland 2. It was boring.
Barkley 2
Considering it was 6 and a half years ago, and that the studio hasn't even tweeted in a year, yeah I fucking regret it
shadowrun returns
did not regret it
Hey, at least I got a neat game manual that doesn't even fit in the box
the homestuck adventure game
quite a bit
Minskies Furballs Rerelease
none because it wasn't successfully funded
backed this as well. Might get around to actually playing it once I finished the MM legacy collections.
came here to post this
$30 on Star Citizen
Laugh at me, I deserve it.
At least you can partially credit this for motivating Capcom to actually make more Megaman games, seeing the demand for them.
this
Why the fuck should I lay for unfinished product?
you can't feel regret for something you didn't do cool guy
This is true, in general, but some studios like Larian can be trusted with their crowd funding and it's usually cheaper to get a copy this way than if you bought it at retail.
Assuming you're not a pirate who doesn't pay for anything in the first place, but then none of this would even matter.
$60 on Star Citizen, not a proud moment
$18 trudeau funny money on Subverse
Too early to regret , but for $18 I am not worried, couldn't imagine being in any of the higher tiers though
>paying for something unfinished with a high >chance it will never be:
>a: finished
>b: finished anywhere near the stated time
>c: not shit
yea, i'm thinking most people are genuinely brainlets
Wasteland 2, D:OS2, Planescape
Regretted all 3, Planescape the most, Divinity the least.
I love it, very much worth it
nothing Yea Forums related
and no i have not regretted it
Backed Double Fine Adventure and Bloodstained.
Don't really regret the $15 I blew on DBA, it was decent. Bloodstained is looking pretty solid so far. Honestly if anything I'm glad the funding already gave us Curse Of The Moon. Really good game.
I have not backed anything else but I've stumbled upon projects I really wish I could have backed but didn't find out about them until after they were funded. River City Ransom Underground, Shadowgate, and RE:Legend are all games I wish I would have funded. I'm mostly sad about Shadowgate because it missed some really promising stretch goals.
I'm over $1200 here friend. I'm stuck in the gamble and I can only hope it can become not only a good game but a game period. Maybe you'll feel better by laughing at me instead.
>backing video games
>not board games
I wish I could afford KDM.
$60 on Bloodstained. I'm not happy with the long wait, but if they actually deliver what they promised I won't be disappointed.
Did you enjoy Curse Of The Moon at least? I forgot it was even a thing until a couple days before release. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of it.
>first poster is always best poster
How does he do it?
Would you have spent $1200 on the finished game even if it were the best game ever made?
No? Then why would you spent $1200 without ever seeing anywhere near a finished product?
>Shovel Knight
Great
>Wizard Of Legend
Great
Yooka-Laylee
Not bad but disappointing.
>Bloodstained
Hopeful. Probably won't end up being 10/10 or a very solid top tier Metroidvania, but it'll still be good.
Not that other user, of course, but it was pretty fun and a solid game.
>La Mulana 2
>The Good Life
>2-3 /agdg/ games
No real regrets so far
Probably yeah. I've spent far more than $1200 on Warframe.
Like 20 bucks on Blasphemous, not regretting it so far.
>subverse, $1000 whale tier
>we’ll see
>dude fund my game except you wont get a return for your investment but you'll get a t-shirt or in-game cosmetic or something
Why?
does buying early access count?
It's... on my backlog.
>Project Phoenix is the only Kickstarter I've backed
Regret dosen't even describe it.
Very happy.
What's there to tweet? The release date is set. Promise made.
I could actually invest my money in a startup company and get something in return when it starts making profit.
What the fuck do I get from investing into a kickstarter? A chance to buy the game?
This is not beneficial to me in any way.
I backed the Torment sequel. I only paid like 30 bucks but I barely even played it. The intro alone turned me off from the game. Should probably give it another shot at some point.
>game is fully funded, developers have been paid for their work by backers
>still charge for the game
??? Is there something I'm not understanding here or is it just greed?
investment is the wrong way to look at a kickstarter
it's just donations, but worded different
/thread
Yooka Laylee was my first and last one. I deeply regret it.
Uh, except they never charge the backers?
Why would they release the entire game for free to people who never helped fund the game in the process.
>DCS WW2
>Only half finished after 6 years
>Backer rewards retroactively changed because "the deal was too good"
Never trust Russians.
>we caught a live one, captain!
>Pathfinder Online
No regrets. I backed it for the books that came as a bonus
>Mighty No. 9.
4 million regrets
>Popup Dungeon
Watching its slow development, no regrets
>Hex Heroes
Devs disappeared after the Wii U died. Pretty much regret
>KIngdom Death: Monster
no regrets
>One Night Ultimate Alien/Supervillain
got my stuff, no regrets
Actually, I backed a lot of things that came out cool.
Normally, a publisher puts up a sum of money and gives it to developers to make a game they can sell so they can get a return on their investment. For kickstarter games, the backers don't get a return, because they're not investing, they're donating. In both cases, the developers get the funds to pay their salaries, but in kickstarter's case, the developers also charge for the game, essentially double dipping and taking both the dev cash and the cash that would go to the producer. I must be missing something here or I'm unaware of how this works because it makes no sense to me other than the kickstarter devs wanting more money for themselves.
Do you guys promise not to laugh?
Ouya
Satan pledge here, do not regret it
>Divinity OS 1, Divinity OS 2
>Not at all
>Takedown was DoA
>Auditorium 2 died in dev hell
>Republique was mediocre
>Diabotical still isn't out
>Subverse
By my luck, porn games are doomed
Larian prefers to get backing from kickstarter because they don't want traditional publishers dictating what can or can't be in their game, politically. When they have public investors they are held accountable to then it makes it hard for them to include a lot of the subject matter they want in their RPGs like rape etc.
Don't worry. I funded those retarded roadway solar panels before watching a few videos revealing how much of a scam they are.
>PoE 2
Not much
>That Swery game
We'll see
>Wrestling with Pixels
Still don't have it. But It's confirmed to FINALLY come out this year.
>Titty Time Vol 1

>Titty Time Vol 2
Also a good porn comic
>FlipGrip
I have far too many arcade games on my Switch, so for $12 why wouldn't I pledge to it.
So... The devs are taking on the role of publisher, just with the added bonus of getting free money from backers?
Nothing, I'm not a fucking idiot.
Oh. Forgot a few
>Shantae HGH
Was disappointed that I couldn't just get a free Switch copy, since that wasn't even a thing during the campaign, so my WiiU copy is sitting...collecting dust. I enjoyed it though.
>Bloodstained
It's aight. If anything, I got a free little 8bit game.
$900 for Shenmue III
No regrets
I love the first 2 and I've waited a long time for 3. My handprint and my name will appear in the fortune teller's book in the game
Fuck you bitch I can afford it
Probably about $2k over 8 years, half of which is KDM and other board games. A lot of them delivered, only a few failures, though a lot weren't as fun as I thought they'd be. No regrets.
Except the backers are getting something in return. The tiers where you get the game are usually cheaper than the actual games would cost. The only risk is in not getting a product you wanted.
But that's why you don't back developers you don't trust.
The only thing I've ever backed is Mighty No 9 and after how that turned out, you can see why I haven't done so since
The Dark Souls board game. I was a little disappointed with the quality of the miniatures but overall I'm happy with 'em. They make good models for D&D and whatnot, even if they're almost a little to gummy to paint properly.
I backed the torment sequel and was pissed PS4 and XBone versions were in retail stores before I was sent my PC code.
F' em. Never again.
never donated to anything
still somehow felt cheated by MN9 and Homestuck's end products, like the time I'd spent even a little bit excited for them was a monumental waste.
Only thing i backed was Don't Hug Me I'm Scared, I don't regret it at all.
Backed Shovel Knight, Hollow Knight, and Bloodstained. Zero regrets.
Also backed a new Amiga case and keycaps. Took a hell of a lot longer than promised but were great once they were shipped out.
>>what you've backed if anything
Hunnie Pop and Arcana Heart Six Stars
>>how much you regret it
Not a damn bit. Eat shit.
Numenera - biggest buyer's remorse ever, I'm never buying anything made by Fargo ever again
Deadfire - worth the money, though it's not really modern classic material
Stay! Stay! Democratic Republic of Korea! - meme backing honestly. I did play it through, but it's pretty underwhelming as far as visual novels go
Diabolical - just wanted to give money to James, never really gave a shit about Quake
Out of all crowdfunded games I liked Atom RPG and Pathfinder: Kingmaker the most, but I hadn't even heard of them when the funding was open.
>Yooka-Laylee
No regret, this was one I knew what I was getting myself into.
>Re:legend
Disappointing during the first "alpha". They seem to be putting the monster taming, raising, and rpg combat that they had front and center all Kickstarter in the back seat for making the side gimmick of being another harvest moon the main focus now.
>Ouya
Was exactly what I expected. Really liked how fast the switch between games was(because of Android). The GPU was sadly not the newest available and they fucked up getting more good stuff on there. Used it mainly as streaming box recently. No real regrets desu. since I also learned to never back anything even slightly ambitious ever again.
Backers get essentially a slightly cheaper pre-order at the lowest tier.
Fig rather than Kickstarter. Deadfire. $500. I regret it because the story and companions were dogshit. Fucking listening to feedback from only Something Awful and Tumblr did this. Fuck Obsidian.
SWERY's The Good Life.
Currently don't regret it. Especially with his travel/research updates.
The company just doesn't have any competent writers left.
And what on Earth made you back 500$ on it? Pillars wasn't the best thing since sliced bread, so you should've expected a slightly better version of it at best.
Star Citizen. Still no regrets, it's shaping up to be GOAT.
The Good Life.
I only really backed it in the first place to give Swery money for the awesome time I had with Deadly Premonition.
Also to pay him back for the failure of D4 :(
Don't super care if it turns into a good game or not.
(I bought the special edition for like $118)
Anybody remember the tripfags that boasted about backing OUYA?
holy fuck
They ran out of money (again)
probably spending a couple thousand grand on 'space doors' in their office.
Don't worry, they'll get more money from that user soon
>VN called Dragon Date
>2 years overdue...
I honestly liked it enough to back that much. I have a special bank account for frivolous spending so it didn't set me back at all.
>Western VN
You only have yourself to blame
100% Orange Juice plushies
A little, the quality could be better, but their cuteness makes up for it.
This.
i would have backed Radio the Universe if i found out about it earlier. i hope it comes out soon, it looks really cool
it better not go ebin, i'd hate to pirate such a nice looking game
otherwise, i just made a patreon to support a couple youtubers i like. no more than $10/month american total between the few of them.
imagine being one of the cucks that actually gives money to fullmetalifrit on patreon monthly
Different user but they had a lot they could have done with it. Woedica being empowered is a huge thing they could have used and since Eothas is back they could have used Eder's brother as a big plot point for him. Instead we get some cuck story for him and nothing on Woedica.
the one thing I've backed isn't related to vibeo gaymes, but I did get my reward
no ragrets
Divinity OG Sin 1&2
Shadowrun: Dragonfall
KCD
I've been happy but I've also been very picky
I backed Solforge for 30 dollars. That game did not deserve what happened to it.
I backed A Hat in Time, forgot about it. The early demo was honestly pretty meh, but the speedrunner's demo which was just before launch blew me away. In the last section of the demo, this song played. When the trumpets came in whatever regret I had vanished. youtube.com
>Mordhau and Project Wingman
I'm having fun with Mordhau. I can't really see how you can fuck up Wingman unless it crashes a lot or set it in the real world.
>Devs abandon game
>Community steps up and keeps it alive
>Hey WTF do you think you are doing , shut that shit down
Yooka Laylee
The Binding of Isaac Card Game
moderately, but in the prior case it scratched the itch I had enough to not be a complete waste, and the latter case I'm fine throwing money at Edmond considering I got the OG BoI for free and squeezed hundreds of hours out of it
I'm about to back that light gun that someone posted a thread on earlier
I backed the wow diary, and it came out and I enjoyed it, no regrets.
Backing video games is retarded tho
Shoulda saw that coming, true. Fucking Kickstarter.
Backed A Hat In Time back in 2013 when they said it would come out in 2014. Don't regret it because the game was good but I'm kinda butthurt it took so long.
I love that Kickstarter has brought a small taste of risk aversion to the consumer. Like, how do you complain when big publishers won't risk millions on a passion project that hasn't proven itself in the market, and might not even be feasible in practice, when you won't risk a dollar.
Nothing
I don't
>pebble
>oculus rift

Starforge. Though that was on indiegogo iirc

200$ wasted on Indivisible. All the characters I liked got thrown away.

It's to be expected, most posters here don't contribute anything to life, either.
>Under the dog
>Clannad official localization
>Episode was meh and I sold all the shit from backing it to some retard for more than I paid originally so no harm done
>Got a nice boxed set edition of clannad despite the translation being kind of shit, decent outcome
Off-topic at best, shitposting more likely.
who are you quoting?
i haven't backed a single kickstarter game but i wouldn't go seek out a thread like this just to post a glorified "no"
can i start a gofund me to buy the rights to and remake old games?
You can start a GoFundMe for anything legal. You would just need some realistic numbers and plans.
>Backed yuri VN
>Pretty good and I got DLC to boot.

99% sure I backed D:OS2. Peak investment performance
Temtem
It's sating my itch to play Pokemon without having to play Pokemon. But I do miss the actual Pokemon from the games, just not the shit games they're now in.
I put down $30 to get into the alpha and I'd say it was worth it
I got all of them, the only one I regret is qp because her face looks terrible. Looking forward to another kickstarter. If Marc and Aru arent choices ill go fucking berserk.
Oh shit, so this is the game. Screenshots of this have been posted here for years and the thing is not out of pre-alpha?
I backed a few games and have since received most of them. The ones I haven't received yet have consistently given updates each month about what they've done and what their plans for next month will be.
I backed La Mulana 2 at 25 bucks
I sort of regret it. It's still a buggy, incomplete mess compared to its predecessor
There's a lot of footage over the last six years before that video, which is only a month old. But yeah, for some reason the guy running it decided to move everything over to Unity.
Mostly boardgames.
>Rising Sun
Fucking worth it
>Dinosaur Island
Also worth it
>Fidget Cube
Was okay
What annoys me is that more people didn't say they were unhappy on the polls. FF would have more incentive to improve their quality with more negative votes.
i need 30 million to remake dark souls 2 with the original intent
good enough?
£50 on Planetary Annihilation, dumbest thing I've ever done.
>30 million being enough to make a good game and buy a valuable licence
Lmao
Psychonauts 2.
I'll tell you when it comes out.
Yogventures and Yooka-Laylee
I thought about kickstarting the Ouya, Mighty Number 9, and Subverse.
>Yogventures
I'm not even going to laugh at you, i'm just sorry
I backed Banner Saga 3, gave enough to get a nice hat. They had promised us some exclusive art stuff too but nothing came of that.
I backed the Myst 25th Anniversary collection.
Made sure I pitched in for it just before it got fully backed and got a pretty awesome book-styled collector's case with working video clip of a Myst Island flyby.
It was fairly expensive so that hurts but I don't regret it.
reminds me that we still haven't gotten that fucking making of documentary of planetary annihilation. I'd actually really like to see that shitshow.
I like how the higher tier rewards were just things the guys at cyan always wanted to make but couldn't justify before.
>Dreamfall Chapters
Mixed feelings. It finally gave me closure for a story that meant a lot to me back in the day, so I don't regret playing it. But it still had its fair share of issues in the end.
>The Good Life
I like Swery, and feel like he never got enough recognition for his weird style, so even if it doesn't turn out amazing I was happy to help give the guy's new studio another shot at something.
>Psychonauts 2
All the footage that I've seen so far looks good, but I guess that can mean anything before the final release. Might not live up to the creativity of the original, but it still makes me happy to see those old characters and have that premise visited again.
>yookay laylee for $20, chose no reward instead of a steam key because I wanted to support them
Bought the game and it was shit, big regrets
>muv-luv for $800
I don't know why I did it, but hey I got a figma
>the world of warcraft diary for $71
No regrets, it's a good book and john is based.
>$800 for a vn
wot
Obduction really didn't do it for me so I doubt Firmament will be any good
I backed Battletech because I liked the HBS Shadowrun games. Then they went full woke with a mentally ill lead dev, released a half-finished game, sold themselves to Paradox and are now finishing the game via overpriced DLC. I regret ever giving them a dime and I hope they enjoyed that money as it's the last they will ever get from me.

i don't. game gave me plenty of entertainment over the years, so i was happy to kick back a few bucks. plus, i got some autism dice and some extra goodies for the game.
Spent 35 bucks on The binding of Isaac 4souls. Didn't regret one bit cause I got everything on time and with pretty good quality too
shantae half genie hero
I backed Drift Stage in 2014. It's still not done. Admittedly I didnt follow it very closely but it seems it once again fell into the feature creep trap and what was a small compact game inspired by games like Ridge Racer bloated into something with too much shit going on.
I backed FTL, Darkest Dungeon, and Hollow Knight.
I'm some kind of kickstarter wizard I guess, because they are all excellent games. But I haven't used it since. My backlog is too full.
Backed an obscure game called The Last Phoenix. Game didn't meet the funding goals. Was pretty sad.
>only $1200
Have fun getting shit on day one by people who spent $12,000
samfag will i say, i may buy the standard edition physical of HK for PC just because. i don't need all the toys that come with the deluxe, but i support team cherry and i support the idea of cool physical stuff for games even tho i don't really care for it myself.

Big regret. Development looks messy and they're too focused on their fucking battle royale mode.

I won't stop shilling Rolled Out. It's literally the Sonic Mania of Super Monkey Ball and these people deserve the money more than anyone else on the platform.
>Hurr durr it's not out yet so why are you giving them money.
They've already shipped out Closed Beta keys to some streamers showcasing how much they have done and they already have 57 stages completed.
Give them your fucking money please.

Does kickstarter allow porn games?
If it's a light hearted monkey ball game then why are their non-binary characters?
Just seems easier to avoid it.
Does this answer your question?
>kickstarter.com
I believe he is referring to this. Regardless of where you stand on gender binary, it's a very shitty way to treat an artist.
Felt fine for a little while, then really stupid for a longer while. Being in a comfortable money situation, this was the point I realized it was no excuse to blow it in random crap. Lesson learned. I wished it was learned on something else, but learned nonetheless. Then I almost completely forgot about it. When the rewards finally started to come in years later it was kind of hilarious.
I never actually played the thing past a couple of stages. By the time it released thete were plenty of better Megaman romhack and fangame so there was objectively no point.
My friend talked me into backing Starbound for 20$ or whatever it was, and it was terrible
I also spent 50$ on an anime deck building game called Heart of Crown because it had Himukai as one of the artists and that came out okay
>Fire character artist because gendered pronoun
>Have to stall the game and hire another character artist which could result in inconsistent art and take more time to complete the game
I have no clue why devs do this.
But damn it, they need to get a clue. Have a company policy or don't.
>company policy
Seems like a small project lead dev is only 21.
Like anyone else he'll need to get burned to learn anything.
$40 and mainly because I was under the impression it was supposed to come out 2 years ago.
Huge regret for me since the creator keeps casually pushing back the release date(now it's 2020) for a game that's been in development since 2013.
Honestly I hope the game comes out great regardless of the dev's behaviour for the sake of the backers, since many of them are Super Monkey Ball fans (and super monkey ball hasn't had a good original game since 2002).
If they're wasting energy on what gender a cartoon mouse is to the point where they're willing to remove members of the team over it, I doubt it'll be a good game.
I saw a video from a guy shilling it, they seem to have the control down from the little footage I saw. Of course, the real dev challenge is going to be from the level design.

>"BETTER THAN NOTHING"
The best part of MN9 getting funded was the shitshow we got to watch and post about.
I thank you for your service user.
Blue Omen Operation and Zach-Like. Zero regrets. Both are on track, never had any reason to doubt Zachtronics, and even if BOO did hit some snags I'd still be happy to support our boys. Especially Ink what with all the good art over the years.
Well I actually never knew about this so I kinda actually regret giving him the ten dollars for the game.
Genuinely hoping the game gets fucked up in some way now honestly. What a fuck head.
>Ashes of Creation
>Big regret. Development looks messy and they're too focused on their fucking battle royale mode.
I backed too but am nervous for different reasons. I didn't realize at the time they were essentially a tiny startup and needed to scale up to a functioning company AND develop their first game at the same time. Hiring and integrating talent has already made them realize previously set dates/benchmarks made no sense because they've been slowed down. There are still serious questions as to whether setting up their own network backend to work with UE4 will ever support the numbers of active players a city/castle siege will need to feel cool. And they just haven't shown a lot of functioning mmo systems in general.
The battle royale was stated to be mainly a test for their combat, but I suspect what they didn't say was they also hoped it might gain traction to act as an ez mode income stream. Backlash from mmo backers was heavy enough to make them backburner the project, at least for now.
Curse of the Moon was a lot fucking better than I thought it'd be.
>Pillars of Eternity
Genuinely good game, was well worth backing. My only regret was playing it too much on release, I never did play the DLC.
>PoE2
Haven't sat down to play it, was waiting on DLC so as to not make the same mistake. Still not a regret, but I've read its worse than the first.
>Reaper Bones 4
not vidya but easily the best thing I've kickstarted, my only regret is not buying any of the expansions. Definitely looking for bones 5.
>Yooka Laylee
I only had a WiiU at the time, and I didn't have a controller for my PC so I refunded. Glad I did, even though I now have a ps4, switch, and upgraded my PC hardware and peripherals.
That had nothing to do with Capcom making more megaman games.
>tfw the secret Ray mode was a million times better than the main game
it gets even better. He wrote second, completely different, apology some time after the fact: this time he tried his hardest to paint the girl in a bad light and him as an innocent angel that can do no wrong. He even tried to smear her by saying she made "sexually provocative" models of aged-up "underaged" characters which made the team "uncomfortable". This is false btw that's just other people taking her 3D models and doing their own lewd shit with them. And even if it was true that is a fucking insane allegation to begin with. Lastly he made sure he had the last word by saying that bs apology was the last he'd talk on the matter for the sake of his "health".
Dude just seems like your typical tumblr sociopath who puts on a veneer of wokeness to compensate for the fact that he's a real piece of controlling shit deep down.
but anyways don't sweat it. It's not like you knew. Skilled creatives can be fucking assholes. Frankly I'm really disappointed myself because a true successor to MB is a fucking sick idea. If the game turns out to be good I'll probably pirate it, personally.
$10 into Yatagarasu. The game's fun, but any hopes for a halfway serious competitive scene died quickly.
Well moreso on a personal level, I know Rafaknight's work and have been a fan of her's for a while so I know what she's like and to be frank any alligation of her being "uncomfortable" to be around is a flat out lie otherwise she wouldn't be in the professional advertising and modeling industry.
Quite frankly the guy fucking shot himself in the foot because if he turned around and blew off Rafa like that then there's very few people who will work for him afterwards. Rafa is generally known as a very professional and nice person.
>Factorio on Indiegogo
no regrets at all
>Sunless Skies
love it
>Clockwork Empires
put a lot of time into it but was probably a waste
>$15 Shovel Knight
>$25 Mighty No. 9
>$15 Hyper Light Drifter
>$100 Bloodstained
So far the only one I've regretted has been Mighty No.9 because, well fuck the game was absolute trash and at the time most folks weren't aware of what a garbage person Inafune really was.
Shovel Knight was more than worth what I backed it for, and I've gotten plenty of replay value out of it so no regrets there.
Hyper Light Drifter is a solid game but it turned out to not really be what I was expecting so I again I don't regret it, but I don't feel very strongly about it either.
Bloodstained's campaign has been a bit of a mess but other than some messy visuals the actual demos have been fun and shown the gameplay is both exactly what I wanted and expected from it. Castlevania, the IGA-helmed era in particular, is my favorite game series of all time so I jumped at the chance to get something new that captured that style and feel. Curse of the Moon was also great and full of replay value, so unless the RotN final release shows up and somehow turns into a turd after the Zangetsu fight I've got no regrets on it.
Kingdom Come and STRAFE
I regret backing STRAFE more than Kingdom Come. I'll never back a game ever again.
I backed a Kikestarter for a tshirt I never wear.
I never wear it, it's literally in another country right now, but it was only a few dollars so I guess I don't care that much.
Meh.
My backs didn't turn out to be the best. RIP
>Bug Fable for $15
I 100%-ed the demo and I'm looking forward to the complete package. I'm also happy to help out fellow anons
>Divinity Original Sin 2
lowest tier for a game key, wasnt too bad
>Chronicles of Elyria
basically ended up the same as Star Citizen, absolutely no actual anything, just announcements of things with nothing to show for it yet, fucking garbage
In terms of vidya

Flame in the Flood is comfy and don't regret backing it.
The other games aren't out yet, but still optimistic.
>Code Hardcore, 100 bucks
>Not much, only regret not getting the metal figure tier instead
I haven't backed anything on kickstarter but your mom backed her ass up onto my dick. I regret it mildly, she gave me HPV.
After the initial excitement and flurry of pledges back in 2012 I got wise and realised that pledging to a crowdfund was throwing your money to the wind in hopes that it might come back to you.
That being said, I was still willing to do it and I'd back something anywhere from once, or twice a year to every few years.
I'd say 40% eventually deliver, but 90% of those are late by a good amount of time.
I don't regret a thing (yet).
I backed Tadpole Treble for $10 and got it on my WiiU. It's a fun little thing.
That's pretty much it, game wise.
I've backed a lot of things over the years, and so far, only a couple of them have failed to put out what they said they would. so honestly, not even mad
Any Savini bros here?
Fuck the devs for abandoning the game
shadowrun
was expecting shadowrun from the sega genesis
instead I got a bad chess game/betaboi text adventure with shadowrun reskin
Designer playing cards
Nothing really, they were very neat
Niggy you dumb.
This phone.
>Perpetual Energy Generator
Kodomo no jikan physical English manga
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
DOS2, no regret.
Dark Souls board games. Nice fig, but they haven't even finished sending all of them 4 years laters :(
Brawl in the Family physical books
Nothing really, though I should get to reading them sometime
I didn't back shovel knight wish I had.
Narita boy. Not out yet
Bushiden. Not out yet
#1 I photoshopped that to say I backed it and #2 it didn't get funded for some strange reason so even if I had actually backed it, it wouldn't have cost me anything
Wasteland 2 was pretty good in my opinion.
>Shroud of the Avatar
>Shenmue 3
>100% Orange Juice plushies
The plushies are the only one I don't regret yet.
Is Shenmue 3 going to be bad or something?
Videogamewise:
Rimworld which turned out alright.
The Mandate which turned out to be vaporware.
Boardgamewise:
Relic Knights which delivered but the quality sucked.
Shadows of Brimstone which turned out really well aside from the hero minis in the core sets.
Drake which only delivered half and then went on Shark Tank to try to get the money to deliver the rest.
Galaxy Defenders which turned out pretty well.
Lost Valley which turned out well, though it took forever to ship.
Xia:Legends of a Drift System which turned out well.
Robotech miniatures game, which turned into a shitshow, half delivered, and then when he "offered" to fulfill remaining orders with product from the first wave he required new shipping payments and charged full retail for stuff every store on the internet had on clearance. I will forever be platinum mad about it.
Shenmue is boring my dude
VR visual novel store.steampowered.com
I dont really regret it.
>what you've backed if anything
This set does not contain any elements
>how much you regret it
ERROR: Segmentation Fault in GetRegrets: Tried to access data outside of array bounds
The previews haven't given me a whole lot of confidence, but the regret is more that I gave them $60 6 years ago and have nothing to show for it yet.
I bought this on a whim, how is it?
Good.
>Skullgirls extra characters
>Indivisible
>Bloodstained
I played the demos of the latter two and I have no regrets so far. If Ritual of the Night was somehow bad, I at least got Curse of the Moon.
I haven't played it yet due to being busy until Pillars of Eternity came out. Gotta try it someday. After Wasteland 2 I was just on the kickstarter hype train, and now I'm definitely off.
>Broken Age
I have some misgivings with the project, but there's plenty about the game I enjoyed.
>Broken Sword 5
Pretty good. I wish it had fewer callbacks to previous titles and some parts are pretty rough, but it's still nice that it happened at all.
>Pillars of Eternity
Quite nice.
>Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey
Making it episodic was a mistake, and while there's plenty in it I liked overall by the end it didn't feel as conclusive or satisfying as I hoped.
>Divinity: Original Sin 1 and 2
Pretty great. The first game has a few rough edges, but they're probably the best thing I backed.
>Obduction, Myst 25th anniversary
Obduction was really good puzzle wise, although boy is it poorly optimized. I wish the 25th anniversary collection had more work put into it, but I was hoping they'd re-release Myst 3 and 4 digitally so whatever. What I find really annoying is that Cyan always manages to deliver their game keys AFTER the games are available for purchase, meaning the backers get a bit shafted. It's one of the reasons why I ultimately didn't back Firmament, although I'm excited to play it.
>La-Mulana 2
Haven't put a lot of time into it, but it looks like it came out well.
>Thimbleweed Park
Exactly what I expected it to be. It basically delivered what Broken Age promised. It's not flawless, but overall it was really satisfying.
Chivalry
Regret nothing
Divinity original sin
Regret nothing
Thats it
I backed this and Bloodstained for a Wii U version.
I fucking hate Kickstarter, but I mostly hate the me from 4 years ago for being so gullible.
I backed I.C.U, a shitty twitch horror game made by Criken. I regret that one because I obviously got literally nothing out of it, but at least I only backed $15.
I also backed Project Wingman, and I don't regret that one because it's turning out excellently. I backed for 65 Australian Dollars, which worked out to only like £45 so it wasn't even that much for me.
Nothing video game related, but I backed both of the Steve Lichman books.
No regrets.
>Awesomenauts Starstorm
>small regret
>Bloodstained
>Absolutely no regret
Why is that guy smiling while sinking in sand?
Why is he holding binoculars?
