Neither are really worth your time, i personally prefer dota since each game feels vastly different than the last, the balancing is much better and the heros are just more interesting

however i do see the appeal of LoL, its much more popular among younger players, much easier to get into and has some pretty interesting mechanics. I really hate the way riot balances their game too

they stopped doing simplistic visual updates and kit updates (which were bad enough in the first place) and started deleting old champions from the game because they look like an eyesore to zoomer eyes and replacing them with new shitterfriendly knockoffs to appease zoomers.

Nunu used to be a deep part of league culture and used to be just a simple jungler with a doublesmite counterjungling and utility shtick and had good soulful lore and voicelines, now he's a fortnite happy go lucky lite bitch that never stops yapping about bullshit and has a kit with a bit of everything in it in addition to the doublesmite because why the fuck not.

This is my biggest complaint with riot, I stopped playing because they """"""reworked"""""" (read: deleted) all the characters I liked. If they're going to make a new character they should just make a new fucking character instead of deleting one and then making a new totally unrelated one with the same name.

Turn rates don't make Dota feel slow, but I'm guessing you're a fucking robot when you play League and barely do any thinking about the game on a grand scale. League feels like the slower game because it takes forever to move onto significant phases in the match. Minor things like attack rates, cooldowns, turn rates, etc. don't "slow" the game down. Things like the pacing of teamfights, how often objectives are pushed, how frequent windows of opportunity present themselves, etc. do.

I've played both a lot. League is better but not by a huge amount, lower skill floor, more interesting characters. No ones hit the skill ceiling either so it doesn't feel empty and easy and they removed all the tedious shit that make dota less accessible(Dota takes hundreds of hours to get the basics down, league takes maybe 40). It's not a big gap in enjoyment though so I'd just pick whatever has the most interesting characters to you, try a few matches on both since they're free

The problem is Riot has this idea of how the game is "supposed" to be played so they delete old champs that don't fit their vision. It's fucking stupid but that's the reason, the entire pace of the game is heavily controlled.

There's literally nothing she did before that she doens't still do now. The only difference was before her heal had an actual cooldown and was more gated, so it had more of a counterplay window. Morello cried about her being a "healing fountain" then turner her into literally that.

League is an action game, Dota is a strategy game. Pick your poison. Both will consume your life force.

Used to play Dota back in 2011 - 2015, but I think I got too old for it. And not in a "I'm too old for this kiddy shit" kind of thing but like "Holy fuck playing this game just makes me exhausted now".
I love watching it though. Still watch nearly every tournament that comes on to this day, excited watching the MDL Major.

I tried playing and watching League but it just bored me to tears. The porn is the one place it beats Dota. Damn that is some good shit.
