It really is, it smooths out some of the prototypical feeling parts of Metroid Prime without trying to copy Halo with shitter combat variety like they tried to do in MP3. I find the three areas you visit to be quite creative as well, even Agon Wastes finds a way to be unique considering it's a desert level, and of course everyone agrees Sanctuary Fortress is the bomb.
