I didn't buy it, why is it so bad?

It's bad because they release a framework that will only be expanded with DLC and patches over 3 years. The framework that is there is actually quite promising for a game mixing CK and EU

There is zero difficulty, none of the systems they have in place matter at all. Despite annexing a whole coalition of countries in a single war and having tyranny/aggressive expansion out the ass, none of my pops, governors, senate members, generals, or soldiers did anything about it. The whole game just seems like a waste of time.

In fact most games feel like a waste of time.

There's not point to playing any different nation besides a few different decisions for major factions. But playing as Sparta is no different from playing as Athens because all Hellenistic factions have the same traditions, and there is a total lack of unique national decisions to set nations apart. Barbarians in Britain have the same choices for national focuses as Ptolemaic Egypt

Why are there so many numbers now? The game worked fine with just food/production/energy, but now you have to memorize 11 planetary resources and their conversion values before you can do anything. They made it complex for complexity's sake, as it added very little strategic depth.

Fuck off, Stellaris is much better now. Problem is they fucked up the balance and are too fucking retarded to fix it. Habitability doesn't matter and pop growth is way too important and overpowered right now. Also there are essential mods which should be part of the base game like Automatic Pop Resettlement, Glavius AI and others.

Yeah and the game is also unplayable because of all the lag.
