Ys The Oath in Felghana

Yea Forums please help.
Am I supposed to have a charge attack on this boss? I'm holding the magic attack button, and it's not charging. What am I doing wrong? Please, Yea Forums, help!

I thought by ruby they meant the icon below my health, which is already there :\

yw
it's one of my favorite games, just based on the combat system and boss fights

I've only just started, but I've been enjoying it so far.
I found out about it from Yea Forums as well.

oh nonono

who was in the wrong here?

>After dinging it a point for grammar

But it's grammatically correct if you pronounce FAQ like it's written. Fucking journalists trying to be smart.

oh by the way, should I change something in the settings like double-tap for dash (you can dash in this game?)?

If you want to. You can dash once you get a certain item.

just set it to always dash once able

wow, what a retard.
RPGs are known to have hidden stuff in it and the invisible chest was located somewhere where you'd think there's obviously something there.
no journalist ever, no matter how well the magazine or website is, deserves a nod.

that's why modern rpgs always have massive arrows and signs, showing players where everything is and block you from progressing - just to make sure retards don't find a reason to drop the game 10 minutes in

Fucking christ PC Gamer sucks dick.

got it, thanks

the thing is, I saw a chest, didn't know how to open it, decided to move on thinking I'd find out about that later, and then got that pop-up and couldn't understand how to charge attack lol.
That being said, I'm not very smart.
I wonder what would've happened if I had beaten the boss without that item though. I suppose there are lots of these rubies around?

There's only 3 gems per magic type in the whole game, so you could theoretically miss one for the rest of the game if you never backtracked or thought about why your magic damage was shit.

Why does Adol look like a deformed baby in the games but so chadlike in the art?

Just how the engine is.

but now he's a armorless, shitty shonen-dude.
I miss Chadol, the chaddest hero that stole the legendary hero's role without being the chosen one himself.

Has he really ever stolen the role from the 'chosen one'? Normally it seems like he actually is the chosen one across multiple cultures.

he's only good with his sword and doesn't have any hidden powers.
the goddesses trusted in him because one of them got horny for him.
so he became the successor to the chosen one. yeah, he basically stole the role of the legendary hero seen in Oath in Felghana.

He literally did that in Seven.

Was it ever actually stated that Geis was supposed to be the Dragon Warrior originally? All I remember is him being salty that it was Adol, at best.
But yeah, Geis got styled on by Adol.

Well the defacto leader of Iska told him to be, but apparently Adol stumbled his way there first. I don't think it's specified whether he would've been even if he were there first.

>the defacto leader of Iska told him to be
Was that so? Fair enough, then.
Adol's coming was actually prophesied in Ys V, but it turned out to be time travel shenanigans.
