It's a remake, not a remaster.

I consider it a different game that doesn't replace the original or is invalidated by it. It's not much different than looking forward to a new game.

No user, the PS4 isn't a Nintendo console. It will continue receiving many a game for a few years after the PS5 hits. Same as all the other PS systems before it. Also the PS5 is BC with PS4 games, so there's literally no reason to not release on both. PS5's userbase isn't going to up and switch to the new console in a single year. I myself didn't pick up a PS4 until early 2017. Day 1'ing new hardware is for suckers.

..especially in this case since it won't look or play anything similar to the original. Even if it turns out worse (which it most likely will), it's still a fresh experience compared to something you've replayed a million times.

If Sonys doing BC like MS is, then the PS4 versions will essentially become PS5 versions when played on one, making the inevitable second playthrough that much more interesting.
