I was playing it just last week, but I completed most of farming/forging goals and now I don't have much motivation to continue it.
How the hell are you supposed to marry in this game? By dating a girl then triggering a fucking random event? This event never seems to happen.

Once, I finished the second arc and was dating Clorica, but got bored and haven't touched it in a while. I like RF, but I feel like it's grindier than regular Bokujou Monogatari, what with the level up systems for crops, crafting, cooking and such.

This is pretty much the case. RF still has a really niche audience. Granted, the Switch might have the power to change that, but even the 3DS couldn't despite RF4 being the most popular entry in the series.

The only good think about that game is you can nail a girl while another girl is in your body feeling what you feel. Other than that they game is probably the worst in the series.

I much prefer the cast and how the quests are handled in RF3.
There's not so much focus in dungeons, in case you liked it. Other than that there's some minor issues like limited inventory slots, can only have on ally at time, no generic materials while crafting/cooking.

RF4 was cancelled at the last minute for yurop, and it took Xseed a year to put it on the european eshop. Not that it would've changed that much, lots of europeans wouldn't have bought it because it's english only anyway.

I hope they handle RF4S and RF5 better for Europeans this time around. I don't want the series to get too popular because everything becomes awful when that happens, but I do want them to continue making these games.

I Love this game a ton but I keep taking breaks only to reset, and its frustrating because I lose track of time and where I am in the story, whats the best weapon for the first arc

Another thing that annoyed me is that the game does a poor job at explaining most of it's finer mechanics, and unlike Bokujou there's no good single information resource for it online like Fogu. This made me have to google and go through a bunch of forum posts to find answers to questions and have a bunch of tabs constantly opened.

Rune Factory is a series of games where I pirated and enjoyed most of the games and then the series fucking died and I felt bad. Kind of want to buy the switch release but I already played the fuck out of it. Maybe if they let me marry Seruza this time.

You forgot the generic shonen rival who is arbitrarily locked to the post game.

Super short on the rpg side, especially if you played 4 first(Which I think almost overdid it with content trying to make up for 3). But it plays pretty much the same.

When everyone else is throwing big gimmicks at you it's so easy to ignore the best girl on your first play through.
